The Voice fans tell off Gwen Stefani over ‘infuriating’ behavior toward contestants in Season 24 finale

THE Voice fans have called out Gwen Stefani over her behavior toward contestants on the show.

The 54-year-old singer appeared on the final of The Voice on Tuesday where Huntley was crowned the winner after stunning judges John Legend, Niall Horan, Reba McEntire, and Gwen.

The Voice judge was criticized throughout her time on Season 24.

Fans commented on her judging style and outfit choices while on the show.

Most recently, fans have flooded social media with criticism for her input on the final performances.

The contestants battled it out on the episode and the result was announced at the end of the show, with Huntley beating out Lila Forde, Ruby Leigh, Mara Justine, and Jacquie Roar.

Despite Team Gwen being eliminated from the competition during the December 12 episode of the show, she still gave her comments at the final.

Fans of the show flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, with their annoyance at her comments.

Many viewers thought her words lacked originality and that the star seemed to repeat herself a lot.

Several users used the hashtag for the show and gave their thoughts.

    X-RATED

One user reposted a moving image of Simon Cowell sat in a judging chair looking exasperated as he shook his head.

The image contained text which read: “It’s a no from me.”

They added the caption: “Why do they cut to Gwen when it’s the same opinion every damn time? I’m such a fan of yours?

“You grow and grow? Just say hey wasn’t your best, wasn’t a finale song, pull a Simon on them, they need to hear it geez.”

The post had plenty of likes, with other fans seeming to agree.

Someone else also added: “Gwen don’t sugar coat the s**t damn.”

    FIRED?

This was not the first time Gwen was called out for her judging style.

At the end of November, fans vowed to boycott the show if Gwen wasn’t replaced by former coach Kelly Clarkson, 41.

The daytime TV show host was a coach on the show during seasons 14 through 21.

A user wrote on social media: “I hate Gwen Stefani. I miss Kelly Clarkson.”

Another agreed: “Me too, I loved Kelly and I kinda don’t wanna watch anymore, Gwen’s such a disappointment.”

A third added: “WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO TO GET KELLY BACK? Gwen has got to go.”

A fourth exclaimed: “I love Gwen but she sucks at being a judge. why do they keep inviting her? Kelly, where are you?!”

Blake Shelton may cry during Tuesday night’s The Voice finale, so he wrote out what he wanted to say ahead of showtime.

Season 23 of The Voice will be his last season, and the country singer sounds ready. Honestly, he sounds bewildered that he made it this far.

“It’s bittersweet,” he shares on social media, alongside photos of his nine winners and some of the other coaches. “When we signed up for Season 1, I don’t think any of us knew what this was going to be.”

The Voice season finale begins at 9PM ET on NBC.

Shelton could win for a 10th time with either Grace West or Noivas.

Reba McEntire will replace him for Season 24 in the fall.

These past 12 years I have made lifelong friends and memories. I’ve had the great opportunity to coach some really talented artists, 9 who have taken home #TeamBlake wins (let’s make that 10 tonight?), and watch these artists grow so much from the show. Thank you to everyone… the crew, the coaches, the contestants, the fans, and my wife who have made these some really great years. Love y’all!!!!!!

Talking to ExtraTV, Shelton says the last 12 years have been the most important chapter in his life and admits he could cry.

“Don’t misunderstand, it may be tears of joy,” he cracks.

“I think it won’t hit me until later, but I’ve got to tell you, when I was in the blind auditions and I hit my button the last time for Grace, it surprised me how I felt in that moment. So, who knows? I may break down and cry.”

Niall Horan’s team has Gina Miles in the finals, while Kelly Clarkson’s team has D.Smooth and Chance the Rapper has Sorelle.

Don’t expect one last performance from Shelton. He previously said he wants to sit back and watch instead, although some of the scheduled special guests could cajole him to the stage. We hear Gwen Stefani can be quite convincing!

In December 2019, Legend also revealed that his daughter prefers the thank u, next singer over him.

Ariana Grande and John Legend in NBC’s ‘The Voice’

In 2017, Ariana Grande, 28, and John Legend, 42, teamed up for a cover of Beauty and the Beast for the live-action film. A few years later, both of them are now coaches in The Voice. As a longtime “huge fan of The Voice,” the Positions singer was excited to join Legend, Blake Shelton, 45, and Kelly Clarkson, 39. Legend also said that he was thrilled to be working with the new coach. “Of course, she’s a threat,” he said.

Then recently, his wife Chrissy Teigen, 35, revealed that it might be “awkward” that the two are working together because they live in an “Ariana Grande household.” But what exactly does the Ordinary People hitmaker feel about working with the “most savage judge on The Voice”? Here’s everything he’s said about the pop star.

    Inside The ‘Ariana Grande Household’

On her Instagram story, Teigen exposed the full extent of her husband’s fanboying over Grande. “Today is a bit of a funny day because it’s the premiere of The Voice and John absolutely knows that this house only listens to Ariana Grande,” she said. “Imagine how awkward it is for John to live in this Ariana Grande household and have to be him.”

She also sent the 7 rings singer a text, saying: “Do u have any assets [I] can post to be team Ari?” Grande shared a screenshot of the message on her Instagram Story, tagging the couple and The Voice. The Legend children are also huge fans of the pop diva. The first concert of Luna, 5, was an Ariana Grande concert. The singer even gave her a shoutout onstage.

In December 2019, Legend also revealed that his daughter prefers the thank u, next singer over him. “She told me one day, ‘Dad, Ariana Grande is a great singer,’” he told A Little Late with Lilly Singh. “‘You’re not a great singer.’” He admitted that it was partly his fault because it started when he made her listen to their Beauty and the Beast duet. “Eventually she became such a big fan of Ariana that she’s, like, unfavorably comparing me to Ariana Grande,” he added.

During a Vanity Fair photoshoot in November 2019, the 21-time Grammy winner was recorded playing a piano cover of Grande’s NASA with his son, Miles, 3. Grande reacted on Twitter saying, “[I’m] not emotionally stable enough for this.” The fans weren’t prepared for it either.

John Legend & Ariana Grande Maintain A Friendly Competition In ‘The Voice’

During a press conference for season 21 of the show, Legend said that Grande is “of course, a threat” because “she is hugely talented, hugely successful and has legions and legions of fans that know how to use the internet and vote.” But the 34+35 singer clarified that it’s all friendly competition between them. “John and I have the most chair turns in common,” she explained. “But now at this point in the game, it’s even. Everyone has such a great array of talent.”

They also act as “parents” to the two other coaches. During the final round of Blind Auditions in September 2021, Shelton got in a fight with Clarkson as they were trying to win over Lana Scott who sang a cover of Kelsea Ballerini’s Hole in the Bottle. The argument went on and on about who knows country music more. Grande and Legend tried to cut in but they were unsuccessful.

So Grande asked the All of Me singer if he’d like to walk off for a bit. “Do you wanna get a snack, actually?” she asked him. The two went backstage to munch on some popcorn while watching the fight. “I feel like John and I are like parents on a vacation or a field trip,” The pov singer mused. “And they’re just like, fighting over toys and stuff.”

What Blake Shelton & Kelly Clarkson Feel About Ariana Grande

During the show’s press junket, Shelton recalled the time his “dreams were destroyed” by Grande. Apparently, in 2016, she released her album Dangerous Woman the same day he released his album If I’m Honest. “I released the album, and I had some momentum going at that point musically,” he remembered. “I was excited thinking that this might be my chance to have the No. 1 album in the country.”

Unfortunately, the country singer got a call from his record label, saying that his album was not “looking good” in the overall chart because “Ariana Grande has got her album.” His album ended up at No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. “Literally, I may as well have released a coaster of a CD. You trashed my album!” he told the Boyfriend singer who joked that she’d make a new cover of If I’m Honest.

“I think I’m smart enough to steer clear of her releases,” Clarkson weighed in. The American Idol alum also said that “there’s no disadvantage when you’re Ariana Grande. She can’t say it. I will.” Shelton added that “It’s embarrassing to follow her [onto The Voice stage], it exposes my lack of celebrity.” Interesting dynamic…

Fans Demand ‘The Voice’ Cancel John Legend Over Chrissy Teigen’s Behavior

They want John Legend gone, and they want him gone now.

New York, NY USA - June 11, 2017: Chrissy Teigen in Pamella Roland and John Legend attend Tony awards 2017 at Radio City Music Hall

The official Instagram account for The Voice has been promoting each of the finalists one by one and it was time to throw credit to Raelynn in their latest post. However, as they tried to spotlight the artist, things took a dramatic turn.

Completely ignoring the context of the post, fans decided to use this as a platform to convey some messaging to the producers about the show. Fans are demanding an immediate change.

John Legend’s wife, swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen, has been dragged for being a vicious bully on social media, and fans are coming at Legend, too. His wife’s poor conduct is cascading and is affecting his career, potentially in a very big way.

John Legend And His Wife, Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen is being slammed on social media for her very poor behavior and downright bullying. This isn’t the first time she had been accused of being a mean person, but the most recent allegations against her have been very serious ones.

Courtney Stodden rose to the surface to say that Teigen encouraged her to end her own life on Twitter, and she had the tweets to prove it.

Fans have had enough of the mean, destructive, hateful messages that people are engaging in online, and are infuriated at the thought of Chrissy Teigen bullying someone to that degree. This devastating revelation has sent shockwaves online, and the more fans discover about Teigen’s conduct, the more they want her canceled.

In a classic case of guilty-by-association, fans want nothing to do with John Legend, either. If this is the way Teigen conducts herself, they presume her husband must have the same morals and standards. After all, he’s still married to her and is condoning her behavior by remaining by her side.

If this is the case, fans want John Legend off The Voice, immediately.

The Push To Cancel John Legend

There is a definite push to cancel John Legend unfolding right before our eyes. If this continues, and ratings drop, NBC will surely need to make some big decisions about the fate of John Legend.

Fans pushed to cancel him by writing; “John Legend is not a good “Voice” due to his cruel, horrid, wife!! He needs to go!!” as well as; “Get rid of John Legend.”

Other comments include; “Do you really want John Legend to represent The Voice? Get rid of him and his wife from your association,” to which the response of “couldn’t agree more!!!” was written, and a series of ‘likes’ flooded the post.

Fans continued to pour in the negative feedback by saying; “John Legend needs to go,” “Cancel John Legend,” and “Get John off the stage, he and his wife are a disgrace.”

Legend’s personal Intsagram page contained  much of the same commentary, including; “YOU CANNOT KEEP SILENT ABOUT YOUR WIFE. YOUR SILENCE EQUALS COMPLIANCE.”

Maroon 5 will be performing their new single, “Middle Ground,” for the show!

Fans of The Voice are about to be very excited: OG Coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will reunite during the finale of the show!

Yes, that’s right. Levine’s band, Maroon 5, is set to perform their new single “Middle Ground” (out May 19) for The Voice’s last episode this season — which means he’ll be face to face (again!) with his longtime rival, Shelton.

Adam Levine Makes His Voice Return, Blake Shelton Can't Stop Texting Him

If you’ll recall, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine were Coaches on The Voice’s first season — alongside Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green — and their playful banter was adored by fans.

Levine stayed on The Voice through Season 16. Meanwhile, Season 23 is Shelton’s last, which also explains this reunion. Levine’s returning to his old stomping grounds to bid Shelton a sweet farewell — and probably rib him a few times, as rivals do.

Shelton announced his departure from The Voice back in October 2022.

“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23,” he said in a statement. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns, and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people; you are the best.”

The country icon continued, “It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week. I’ve made lifelong bonds with Carson and every single one my fellow Coaches over the years, including my wife Gwen Stefani! I have to give a huge shoutout to the singers–the ‘Voices,’ who come on this stage season after season and amaze us with their talent, and a special thanks to those who chose me to be their Coach. Lastly, it’s about y’all, the fans, who watch and support these Artists, us Coaches, and everyone at The Voice who are chasing their dreams. It would not happen without you!”

  • 5 of Blake Shelton’s Funniest Moments on ‘The Voice’

5 of Blake Shelton’s Funniest Moments on ‘The Voice’

5 of Blake Shelton’s Funniest Moments on ‘The Voice’

When Blake Shelton retired as a coach on The Voice in May 2023 after 23 seasons on the show, he left as the longest-running coach in the singing competition.

Shelton’s tenure as a coach on The Voice also marked several other achievements. He had the most winning contestants (nine) since the show premiered in 2011. He also met his wife, fellow coach Gwen Stefani, after she first appeared on the show in 2014.

Throughout his time on the show, Shelton was also no stranger to the episodic hijinks, friendly fibs, and competition among his fellow coaches, from his incessant battles and “bromance” with early coach Adam Levine and later bouts with coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Niall Horan, and anyone who would get in his way of a contestant he wanted on his team.

The number of comedic moments involving Shelton during his time on The Voice is lengthy. Here’s a look at just five of some of the funniest moments he delivered as a coach.

    1. “Blake’s initials are BS”

During his time on The Voice, Shelton has been known to tell a lie or four to win over a prospective contestant. He once told a contestant that his cat died that day, and it would make him feel better if they joined his team. Shelton also lied about not crossing genres, which he’s done. Once, Shelton even told one contestant “Rapping is my thing.”

“Blake’s initials are BS,” said John Legend. “I have learned what that means.”

Clarkson added, “Blake is a car salesman, y’all. He will sell you any POS on the lot.”

    2. Finger Pointing

When it was time for a contestant to pick a coach, Shelton crafted his signature move early on, pointing a finger toward his head. For the most part, the finger-pointing worked for Shelton and not so much for other coaches, which is evident from this season one mashup.

    3. “I Have Boobs, Also”

During an early outtake, coaches Levine and Alicia Keys were trying to tell Shelton why contestants favored Stefani over him.

“She’s better than you in every way,” said Levine. Keys added, “Who would pick you over her? Look at her. Who don’t want to hug up on Gwen for two seconds?”

Shelton quipped “I have boobs, also,” and Keys shot back “maybe bigger.”

    4. Blake Asks John Legend to Sit on Santa’s Lap

In a 2020 montage of outtakes, Shelton, dressed in a kingly robe and crown asks Legend to sit on his lap. “Why don’t you sit on Santa’s lap, tell me what you want for Christmas,” Shelton said to Legend.

“I need social distancing,” said Legend. In other scenes, Legend can be seen enforcing some distance from Shelton.

    5. “King” of ‘The Voice’

During Shelton’s emotional, final episode and send-off, he still took the opportunity to take a few final jabs at his fellow coaches, Clarkson, Horan, and Chance the Rapper.

“This is my last season,” said Shelton talking to the three coaches. “From a fan standpoint, I’m sure they hope it’s your last season, too. I was just thinking, it would be cool if you guys just let me have my moment one last time because you can’t beat me.”

In the montage of clips, Shelton also calls himself the “king” of The Voice. “There’s only one king of the ‘The Voice,” said Shelton as a pointed finger dangled above his head with the words “Pick Blake.”

John Legend Cried Uncontrollably On ‘The Voice’ After This Contestant’s “Moving” Performance: “I Don’t Know Why I Keep Crying”

The Voice judges John Legend and Gwen Stefani were moved to tears by contestant Lennon VanderDoes’ emotional performance during Monday’s (Nov. 13) Knockout Round episode.

There was not a dry eye in the room after VanderDoes took the stage to perform Jason Mraz‘s “I Won’t Give Up.” Legend praised VanderDoes, who hails from Niall Horan‘s team, for his “moving” performance.

Legend could not hide his tears after the performance, admitting, “Ever since I became a dad, I definitely cry a lot more than I used to. It’s hitting me more.”

He added that he previously viewed VanderDoes as the team’s “underdog,” which only made him more emotional.

“I just felt you being fully yourself, and it felt so moving to me,” he said, before adding, “I don’t know why I keep crying. I can’t stop.”

Stefani was in a similar state. Country singer Reba McEntire rushed to give them tissues for their tears.

“Lennon, I hope you realize that that’s the biggest compliment another artist could give you is just to sit there and cry because you touched John to his core,” McEntire told VanderDoes.

Horan agreed, adding, “These two crying says it all.”

The moving performance wasn’t enough to save VanderDoes, however. The singer was later sent home along with fellow contestant Julia Roomes after Horan instead chose Alexa Wildish as the winner.

This may not be the last we see of these contestants, however. This season, the judges will have the chance to bring back a disqualified contestant from any team, an unprecedented move for the show.

They share two children: River Rose, nine, and Remington Alexander, seven.

In the meantime, balancing duties for The Kelly Clarkson Show along with her commitment to The Voice over the past several years began to feel unmanageable, she told USA Today.

‘Full disclosure, I put on a smile a lot of those times because I was struggling a lot in my personal life,’ Kelly said of her performance during the first four seasons of her talk show.

‘I’ve learned a lot about what I’m capable of handling, and also what you should not handle. That was me saying “bye” to The Voice and having this big move. I love that family, but I was like, “I’m struggling. I can’t smile anymore. I don’t feel like smiling.”‘

Kelly appeared as one of four coaches on The Voice for the first time in 2018, making her debut on Season 14.

She stayed on through until Season 21, skipping Season 22 before officially ending her time on the reality series with its 23rd season, which concluded in May this year.

Speaking about her fresh start – both in the aftermath of her divorce and in relaunching The Kelly Clarkson Show out of New York City for its fifth season – Kelly gushed that the current moment in her career had felt like a ‘beautiful gift.’

‘What’s cool for me with Season Five [of The Kelly Clarkson Show] is I am in such a great place, not only with my kids, but with me personally and with the show,’ she told USA Today.

‘I feel like a weight has lifted. That move was very needed. I think the thing I’m most excited about with Season Five on a selfish level, is just showing up to work smiling and actually meaning it. That’s a beautiful gift that you don’t realize until you’re out of it.’

She further admitted that she’d initially thought that moving to NYC would be a ‘horrible decision.’

‘I’ll be real honest: I thought I was making a horrible decision,’ she said.

‘I knew I needed a fresh start and couldn’t be in LA. I really wanted to be in Montana, but you can’t really do a show from there quite yet. So I was like, “The only other option would probably be New York.”‘

But only a few weeks in, her initial apprehension already felt like a distant memory.

‘I genuinely love it, and I love that my kids love it,’ she said.

Kelly Clarkson may have helped make “The Voice” a fan favorite, but she needed to step away from the show to take care of herself.

Clarkson, who moved her talk show to New York City beginning with this year’s fifth season, said in a recent interview with USA Today that she was enduring a lot of hardship in her personal life, which leaked into her career, including her daytime talker and the singing competition.

“Full disclosure, I put on a smile a lot of those times because I was struggling a lot in my personal life,” she told the outlet. “I’ve learned a lot about what I’m capable of handling, and also what you should not handle. Clarkson has talked about wanting a “fresh start” and a desire to leave Los Angeles, as well as the importance of family, when making the move to New York City.

“I’ve never really liked living in L.A.,” she told TODAY in June. “L.A. is beautiful, lots of things to offer that are awesome. It’s just never been my thing in 20 years, and so I never wanted to live there in the first place.”

“It also was pointed out, especially getting divorced, it was just me and my kids all the way on that coast,” she added. “All of my family lives on this coast. It just got lonely.”

Earlier in the day on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the television personality discussed the process of ‘healing’ with Morris while chatting about the Grammy-winning The Middle singer’s upcoming album also titled Healing.

This comes after filed for divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock in June 2020 after nearly seven years of marriage.

The former couple share two children daughter River Rose, nine, and Remington ‘Remy’ Alexander, seven. The producer, 47, also has two kids from his first marriage to Melissa Ashworth.

Since their divorce was finalized two years later in 2022, Clarkson underwent a drastic transformation and revealed she lost 40lbs, denying that she used a weight loss drug to achieve and maintain her results.

In her January cover story for People, the pop singer said she lost a drastic amount of weight last summer by making two big lifestyle changes.

She denied Ozempic rumors after fans speculated she was taking the weight loss diabetes drug.

Instead, she said she started walking as her primary mode of transportation in New York City when she moved from Los Angeles, where she regularly drove her car to get around the metropolis.
Clarkson said she also took advice from her doctor to cut down on carbs and prioritize a protein-heavy diet.
