Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix blow as bosses have ‘no appetite for anything new’!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix contract is coming to an end and it’s said the streaming giants have no intention of renewing the bumper deal

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix dream is to come to an abrupt end, according to reports. While the Sussexes might have been hoping for a contract renewal, it appears the streaming giants have different ideas.

Despite the former Suits star, 43, having “everything going for her,” it seems as though ratings of her shows simply didn’t cut it for those in the hot seat. It’s claimed her viewing figures for With Love, Meghan were “dismal” with her lifestyle show failing to break into the top 300 Netflix programmes list in the first half of this year.

To make matters worse, Meghan’s flop even saw legal drama Suits place higher than her own creation. And Harry’s own offering, a documentary on Polo, ranked in at 3,436 out of 7,000 shows. In six months, the project was only watched 500,000 times.

Despite a second series of Meghan’s solo series being ordered as part of their monster $100million deal, it’s said there won’t be any more after that. Their huge contract is set to expire this year and a source has said: “This deal is dead.”

According to the Mail, the source claimed: “‘She had everything going for her—name, platform, press—and the numbers were dismal.

“They’re just waiting for the credits to roll. They’re letting it expire without drama. There’s no appetite for anything new.”

The opinion was seemingly backed up by former executive editor of the American edition of Ok! magazine, Rob Shuter, too. He claimed the streaming giant will not offer them a new contract once it concludes, confessing: “The interest just isn’t there anymore. They went from buzzy to background noise.”

With Love, Meghan’s figures were released earlier this year after the show first aired in March. The release date for the series was delayed two months due to the California wildfires.

However, the delay didn’t seem to drum up any further attention, leaving Meghan’s Netflix career in limbo. The project saw the Duchess share cookery and hosting tips as well as invite a string of pals to join her as she demonstrated her secret hacks around the kitchen.

But much to the disappointment of those involved, figures showed it was watched 5.3million times and in the ranking of the most watched shows, it came 383rd.

At the top of the ranking board in the same time period was the hit drama Adolescence, which had 145million views. Second place saw Squid Game with 117million views.

Harry makes just one appearance in the series, coming at the end of the first season’s final episode. In the footage, the prince joins Meghan, her mother Doria Ragland and friends for an outdoor celebratory brunch.

Meghan said it “feels like a new chapter that I’m so excited that I get to share and I’ve been able to learn from all of you”, in what is likely to be seen as a nod to the restrictions she felt within the royal family.

King Charles gives new health update as cancer treatment continues!

King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Newmarket today where they stopped by the National Stud as well as the Jockey Club rooms – and the King gave an insight into his cancer diagnosis and treatment

King Charles has opened up about his cancer diagnosis describing it as “just one of those things”. It came as he and Queen Camilla dropped by the Jockey Club Rooms today in Newmarket, the heart of the horse racing industry, after touring the nearby National Stud.

The couple went on a meet and greet with the public after more than a 1,000 people flocked to the Suffolk town’s centre and the King, who is receiving ongoing cancer treatment, spoke about his health. Lee Harman, 54, from Bury St Edmunds, said: “I asked him how he was, and he said he was feeling a lot better now and that it was ‘just one of those things’.”

After telling Charles about his own cancer issues, Mr Harman said: “He asked me how I was and I said ‘I’m all good’, I got the all clear from cancer last year.”

Meanwhile, Charles also admitted he is working on producing a runner for one of the greatest spectacles in the racing calendar – the Derby. Thoroughbreds owned by his mother the late Queen won four out of the five flat racing classics – the 1,000 Guineas and 2,000 Guineas, the Oaks twice and the St Leger – with only the Derby eluding her.

Now it appears the King, who took on Elizabeth II’s stable of horses with his wife, is aiming to have a thoroughbred ready. As he toured the Jockey Club Rooms, a retreat for members and the public, he chatted to his racing manager John Warren, Jockey Club staff and members, and some of the chairs of racecourses run by the club, the official governing body for horseracing in Britain.

Brian Finch, chairman of Epsom Downs Racecourse, home to the world-famous Derby, said after speaking to the King: “We were talking about him getting a Derby runner and he said ‘we’re working on it’. Everybody is hoping the royal family will have a Derby winner soon.”

Earlier at the National Stud, the royal couple were welcomed by the stud’s chairman Lord Grimthorpe and Anna Kerr, the chief executive.

One of the officials in the line-up praised the King’s French, telling him: “Compliments on your French during the State Visit – fabulous” to which the King jokingly replied: “I don’t know about that. I did a lot of brushing up.”

Next, they met representatives from racing charities and trusts including Jane Buick, an ambassador for Autism in Racing who is working with the National Stud team to develop tours for neuro divergent groups and Oshane Marsh, a graduate from the Riding a Dream academy, who learned to ride at the Ebony Horse Club in Brixton which Camilla supports.

Camilla, wearing a patterned silk dress and a straw fan-shaped clutch bag, told him: “It’s lovely to see a graduate from Ebony. Also gathered to meet them were members of the National Stud’s and British Racing School’s Education teams.

The National Stud’s education team runs a programme of full and part-time courses and is the only provider of vocational thoroughbred breeding education in the UK. Around 50 students complete the programmes each year, with an 89 per cent retention rate of graduates working in racing after graduation.

Camilla, who became patron of the British Racing School which is based near Newmarket earlier this year, together with Charles also met Katie Longbottom and Katie Fleming, the author and illustrator of the National Stud storybooks, which are currently in development and aim to encourage young children’s interest in horses from an early age.

The books feature an array of equine characters, including foals, stallions and holidaying racehorses, and their adventures beyond the paddocks. Looking at some of the art work from the books on easels, the King asked Fleming how she produced her work, and heard how she works up paintings from sketches first made on a tablet.

The King and Queen then watched a parade of the stud’s four resident stallions – Lope Y Fernandez, Bradsell, Rajasinghe and Stradivarius – the latter of which won 18 Group 1 races, often jockeyed by Frankie Dettori.

After his parade, Stradivarius was walked over to Charles and Camilla, who patted him and gave him mints. His handler told them “he loves the cameras”, and Charles asked after his daily routine and whether he was “turned out a lot of the time”. Told he was out for most of the day and then in his stable for “his dinner in the evenings,” Camilla joked: “That’s the good life”.

After their visit to the National Stud, Charles and Camilla travelled to the King Edward VII Memorial Hall on Newmarket High Street for a reception where crowds had gathered as they met members of local community groups, businesses and Mark Ashton, the chairman of Ipswich Town Football Club.

Their final engagement of the morning saw the King and Queen visit the Jockey Club Rooms to meet staff and members of the Club, of which they are joint patrons. Accompanied by Baroness Dido Harding, chair and senior steward of the Jockey Club, British racing’s largest commercial organisation and employer which runs 15 national racecourses including Aintree, Cheltenham and Epsom, and Jim Mullen, the chief executive, they viewed artefacts from Newmarket’s National Horseracing Museum, of which Camilla is also patron.

Charles and Camilla also learned about the launch of The Jockey Club Patrons Scholarship, which is to be delivered in partnership by The National Stud and the British Racing School.

The new initiative will provide access to careers in racing to those from diverse ethnic communities, working with organisations such as The Ebony Horse Club in Brixton, London.

  • Emmerdale fans ‘screaming’ as affair ‘sealed’ between two huge characters!

Emmerdale fans ‘screaming’ as affair ‘sealed’ between two huge characters!

Emmerdale fans have been left “screaming” as they predict the comeback of a major affair plot between two fan favourites.

Emmerdale fans have been left ‘screaming’ as the think a huge affair plot could return

Emmerdale fans have been left “screaming” as it looks as though a huge affair storyline could be on the cards.

In 2014, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) began cheating on fiance Chrissie White (Louise Marwood) with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) that sparked a craze amongst viewers known as Robron. But things did not end well, as the whole affair plot led to the death of Katie Winward (Sammy Winward), on the day that Robert was set to tie the knot after he pushed her through the floor during a confrontation at Wylie’s Farm.

Their relationship was tested in the years that followed and Aaron was later sent to prison when he attacked Lee Posner (Kristopher Ian Mochrie) for raping his sister Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) but the pair were able to navigate through things and eventually married in 2016. But Lee died after suffering brain haemorrhage that came as a result of the attack, and Robert was sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Fans of the Yorkshire-based soap will know that, despite his lengthy sentence, he made a shock return earlier this year after being released from prison early and he stormed into Aaron’s wedding, who has now struck up a relationship with Robert’s brother John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). The wedding went ahead, even though Robert and his former flame shared a kiss, but fans of the former couple are now very excited over the idea that a spark between them could make a comeback for good.

Robert and Aaron were part of a major affair storyline that played out more than a decade ago(Image: TV Grab)

Tweeting a photo from a magazine teaser that claimed a “surprise encounter” is on the horizon for Robert and Aaron, one super fan simply wrote: “AFFAIR 2.0 AFFAIR 2.0 AFFAIR 2.0 AFFAIR 2.0 AFFAIR 2.0 AFFAIR 2.0 AFFAIR 2.0 AFFAIR 2.0”, whilst another bluntly admitted: “I AM F****** SCREAMING RIGHT NOW.” Another claimed that fans of the soap were “winning” with the update, whilst a fourth user wrote :”OMGGGGGGGG”, seemingly in disbelief of the news.

A fifth viewer seemed rather impatient with the current plot that has seen John work his way through the village as a killer, but promised that they would start watching again if the couple was to reunite, as they wrote: “It better be because iv stopped watching the show until they get back together this storyline with John has dragged on for far to long now.”(sic)

This isn’t the fist time fans have theorised that Robron will make a comeback, with fans predicting that something was coming last month following a dramatic episode. Aaron and John were seen having a romantic night in, when they heard a knock at the door. To their surprise, it was none other than Robert at the door. Having just been released from prison, Robert smugly asked the pair if he could join their night.

Robert then told the pair he had just been released from prison, before saying: “Thought I’d spend some time with my family.” However, a less than impressed Aaron stood up and responded: “Well not here you’re not, get out.”

Robert didn’t put up a fight to stay, although he told Aaron he’d be seeing him soon. With a huge pause, he then ended the sentence by saying: “Family” and looking John straight in the eye. However, it was Aaron’s face fans couldn’t look away from as they noticed a smirk when his ex-lover walked into the room. Despite pretending in front of husband John he wanted Robert gone, he wasn’t fooling fans.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: “The way Aaron smirked when Robert walked through the door. Oh John you’re so done!”

A second commented: “The way both Aaron and John know they’re done for now, and both in completely different ways. “Aaron because he knows him and Rob are inevitable and John because he knows Robert will absolutely destroy him.”

Others were certain Rob would be the one to bring John down “I love Rob. he is going to taunt the hell out of John #emmerdale.”

Ozzy Osbourne’s rarely seen children now and reason they stayed out of limelight!

Aimee Osbourne is the eldest child of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, but unlike her famous parents and siblings, she has always opted to stay out of the media glare

Unlike her celebrity parents, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, and her siblings Kelly and Jack, Aimee Osbourne has steadfastly maintained a low profile, avoiding the limelight.

Her father and Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy, passed away on July 22 as his family confirmed the heartbreaking news with an official statement.

In the heartbreaking statement, Ozzy’s family said: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Aimee decided to stay out of the limelight at the age of 16(Image: WireImage)

Ozzy’s passing occurred just weeks following Black Sabbath’s final farewell performance. The 76 year old rocker had been battling Parkinson’s disease since his diagnosis in 2019.

The Osbournes burst into our living rooms in 2002, offering MTV audiences an inside look at the chaotic household of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s children, Kelly, 39, and Jack, 38. Yet many viewers remained unaware that Celebrity Big Brother star Sharon and Black Sabbath legend Ozzy had another offspring – Aimee, now 41.

Whilst her younger siblings embraced the celebrity status that came with The Osbournes’ popularity, Aimee chose anonymity, leaving the family residence at 16 when they embarked on their reality television journey.

“I’m not some weirdo depressed daughter that’s afraid of the world and locks herself in her room all day; I just didn’t choose to do the show,” Aimee has openly stated on American television.

“I want to be a singer, and I felt if I’d stayed with the Osbournes and done the whole thing I would have been typecast right away. [Mum] was hurt and we definitely had a tough time with disagreements. I’m more reserved and my private life is very important.”

Aimee made the bold decision to step out of the spotlight at just 16, as her family’s reality show began filming, a move that Sharon Osbourne has since expressed regret over.

Aimee regularly posts on updates on her Instagram(Image: @aro_officialmusic/Instagram)

Now 41, Aimee seems to be opening up more about her personal life, often sharing updates on her musical projects via Instagram.

This June, Aimee was seen leaving a Manchester hotel alongside Wes Leavins from the band Bridgette Calls Me Baby, sparking rumours of a new romance while the band tours the UK.

Last year, she marked a significant milestone in her career with an emotional Instagram post, reflecting on her first recording session at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. She encouraged her fans to keep pushing forward despite a year filled with ‘heartbreak and twists and turns’.

Aimee is no longer close to her sister Kelly(Image: @aro_officialmusic/Instagram)

Under the moniker ARO, Aimee released her latest song, Siren, in collaboration with Fjora Music in November 2024. Her debut single, Raining Gold, was launched in 2015.

Aimee has openly shared her desire to have stayed at home longer, and Sharon has revealed the pain she felt when her eldest daughter moved out.

Sharon, 72, opened up about her daughter’s aversion to the limelight on The Talk in 2018, revealing: “She felt too that she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea – it was appalling to her,” and added with regret, “And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did. It broke my heart when she moved.”

Thelma Riley with her and Ozzy’s three children(Image: mirrorpix)

While Aimee continues to pursue her musical dreams, her relationship with sister Kelly has unfortunately deteriorated over time.

Speaking frankly in a 2021 interview, Kelly confirmed their estrangement on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, saying: “We don’t talk,” and explained: “We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me and I don’t understand her.”

This followed Aimee’s own reflections on their sibling dynamic back in 2015 during an interview with The Independent, where she admitted: “I wouldn’t say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance. Do we socialise? No.”

Ozzy also had three children from his first marriage to Thelma Riley as the pair welcomed daughters Jessica and Louis.

The music legend then adopted Thelma’s son Elliott. Each of the children have largely remained out of the public eye, avoiding the rock‑star spotlight and media glare.

Their low‑profile lives reflect a deliberate choice to stay private as Ozzy’s world of fame, controversy, and chaos unfolded around them.

Despite growing up amidst Black Sabbath tours and tabloid headlines, Jessica and Louis, along with adopted brother Elliott, have pursued ordinary paths, and Ozzy seldom discussed them in interviews, emphasising their right to privacy.

The decision to lead private lives has made them among the most mysterious members of his family, loved by their father from afar, but shielded from fame.

Rosie Roche, the granddaughter of Princess Diana’s uncle, has been found dead at the family home, just one year after Thomas Kingston died in similar circumstances

Prince Harry and Prince William are mourning the loss of their cousin who was found dead earlier this month.

Rosie Roche – granddaughter of Princess Diana’s uncle – was discovered by her mum and sister on July 14 – with a firearm found near to her at the family home in Wiltshire, where the 20-year-old had been packing for a trip away with friends.

During an inquest hearing at Wiltshire and Swindon coroner’s court, area coroner Grant Davies said police “have deemed the death as non-suspicious and there was no third-party involvement”.

Rosie who was studying English Literature at Durham University, was reportedly preparing for a getaway with friends when her mother and sister made the heartbreaking find.

She was the daughter of Edmund (Hugh) Burke Roche and Pippa Long, who are mourning the devastating loss. The family, who have strong ties to the British aristocracy, have described her an “incredible” sister to Archie and Agatha.

An obituary placed in the Yorkshire Post by the family reads: ” Roche, Rosie Jeanne Burke Died on Monday 14th July 2025. Darling daughter of Hugh and Pippa, incredible sister to Archie and Agatha, Granddaughter to Derek and Rae Long. Private family funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date.”

She was working towards obtaining a degree in English Literature during the time of her death. A spokeswoman said she “will be sorely missed”. The inquest has been adjourned until October 25.

Rosie was the granddaughter of the 5th Baron Fermoy, Edmund Roche, whose sister Frances was the mother of Princess Diana.

Rosie is tragically the second relative William and Harry have lost in the last year.

Thomas Kingston, who married Harry and William’s cousin Lady Gabriella Windsor in 2019, died in February last year aged just 45 with a firearm next to him.

The financier suffered a “traumatic head wound”, and a gun was found near to his body in an outbuilding at his parents home in the Cotswolds, an inquest opening at Gloucestershire Coroners Court heard. Police said they were satisfied the death was not suspicious.

Tributes poured in for the 45-year-old, with close family describing him as “an exceptional man who lit up the lives of all who knew him”.

At an inquest into his death, his distraught father, William Martin Kingston, heartbreakingly described through tears the moment he found his son lying dead in the locked bathroom of a detached annexe.

Lady Gabriella described how in his final weeks her husband had “seemed normal”, apart from early in the day after previously taking zopiclone, which she said made him seem “almost hungover”. In her statement, she described their marriage as “deeply loving and trusting” and said he had never expressed any suicidal thoughts to her or others.

In a statement read out by Katy Skerrett, senior coroner for Gloucestershire, Lady Gabriella said her husband’s decision to take his own life was likely the “result of a sudden impulse.”

She said she believed his death was “likely provoked” by an adverse reaction to the medication he had begun, and subsequently stopped taking, in the weeks leading up to his death.

Mr Kingston married Lady Gabriella Kingston on May 18, 2019, at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. They got engaged the previous year on the Isle of Sark, part of the Channel Islands.

Sir Tom Jones, 85, cancels gig hours before he’s due on stage with sad health update!

Sir Tom Jones has been inundated with best wishes from fans after cancelling a gig at the 11th hour

Sir Tom Jones has cancelled a gig hours before going on stage due to concerns about his health.

The 85-year-old singer told fans he was ‘very sorry’ to step down at the 11th hour as he shared his heartbreak at inconveniencing thousands of ticket holders. Tom had been due to play in Bremen, north Germany on his latest tour.

However, on the day he was due to perform, the star had some bad news for ticket-holders. Sir Tom is midway through is UK and Europe summer tour which began on June 13 at Hampton Court Palace in Surrey with concerts scheduled in Dundee, Marbella, and Colchester.

The tour is due to end in Wales with two performances scheduled at Cardiff Castle at the end of August.

In a statement issued today, the Welsh crooner said: “Hello to all the fans in Bremen. Unfortunately, I must postpone my show this evening, as I’ve contracted an upper respiratory infection that needs treatment and rest. I know this is really disappointing and will cause inconvenience to you all, and I’m very sorry about that. But the show will now go ahead on Monday 28th July, so I look forward to seeing you then. All tickets will remain valid for the re-scheduled date.

“Until then, thank you for your understanding. Love, Tom.”

The Delilah star, who recently celebrated his 85th birthday, was sent a flurry of well wishes from his legion of adoring fans as many wished the singer a speedy recovery.

It’s not the first time the star has had to cancel a gig. In 2018, Sir Tom pulled out of a string of shows after contracting a bacterial infection.

The then 78-year-old pulled out of number of performances after a statement on his Twitter, now X account, read: “Sir Tom has a bacterial infection for which he is being treated in hospital. The condition is being well managed and under doctors’ orders, appropriate recovery time and rest is advised.”

However, last year, the Sexbomb star spoke out his health, telling us that he was feeling fitter than ever.

The Welsh star told the Mirror he has no plans to retire (

    The Voice UK)
Expressing gratitude for his incredible voice, he said: “Well, thank God my voice is still working. I am 83 years old. I mean I can’t believe it, but it is true. When I am singing I am like, ‘How the hell is this coming out of me?’ Honestly. If the voice was not there I am sure I would be going ‘Urgh, I don’t want to do so many shows’ but I love it as the voice is still working!”

However, singer – who was born Thomas Jones Woodward – has endured a number of health battles over the years, including a major double hip replacement. He underwent surgery on his left hip in 2017 and his right hip in 2022.

The Treforest-born star has also overhauled his diet over recent years, in a bid to keep his health in check. He cut down on drinking alcohol and adopted a caveman, or paleo, diet, which focuses on eating lean meats, fruits, fish, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

Speaking on a Radio 2 show about his weight loss, Tom said: “I was putting too much weight on. I didn’t think I was going to and I left the working out for a bit, thought I’d keep a check on it.

“But with the Christmas puddings and cakes, before I knew it I was 230lb (16.4 stone) which was 30lb more than I should be. I couldn’t get into my suits. That’s when I thought: ‘This has got to stop’.”

In 2023, Tom insisted he has no plans to retire from performing anytime soon, saying he’ll only hang up his mic if his voice starts to fail.

Looking back on his life, the star admitted he is a born performer and has never wanted to share the spotlight. Speaking to us, he surmised: “I had an uncle, my father’s older brother, and his name was Georgie and he was a singing waiter and he used to sing in pubs so I would go and see him.

“I knew that I could sing and I was not frightened of anything. [But] I did not want to be part of a choir in Wales. I wanted to show off.”

Loose Women star shares candid five-word update as she breaks silence on ITV cuts!

A member of the Loose Women panel has commented on the show’s cuts after ITV Studios announced the programme would only be on for 30 weeks in 2026

A member of the Loose Women panel has commented on the show’s cuts

Television presenter Brenda Edwards has broken her silence on what she thinks about changes being made to Loose Women, and how she really feels about the recent ITV cuts.

Brenda, who found fame on The X Factor under the watchful eye of Sharon Osbourne before appearing in a series of hit West End musicals such as Sister Act, has been a regular on Loose Women in recent years.

However, it was recently announced by ITV that the show would see reduced screen time in 2026 due to cuts at the broadcaster.

Speaking to Woman’s Own, Brenda, 56, said that she was accepting of the move, but is struggling with the uncertainty around it, as the star candidly admitted she “doesn’t know what’s happening”.

Brenda said: “You have to move with the times I guess, and I hope this is just an interim thing, and maybe in a few years time [it will go back to how it was], but we can only wait and see.

“I don’t like to make assumptions on anything because I don’t know what’s happening there but I hope I manage to get some shows and am able to use my platform to raise awareness for whatever I can.”

    Brenda Edwards

Brenda isn’t the only Loose Women star to comment on the move with fellow panellist Nadia Sawalha saying that the decision came “out of the blue” and would be “absolutely brutal” for the show.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, she said: “What’s been brutal, absolutely brutal, over the last week, honestly I feel tearful about it, is that hundreds of people… are going to be made redundant out of the blue, these are all the people behind the scenes that support us in every way.”

Nadia and Brenda’s comments came after it was announced that ITV Studios, who produce Lorraine, Good Morning Britain, and This Morning, as well as Loose Women, would be cutting their budgets.

ITV has made significant cuts to its daytime shows in recent months

The cuts mean that around 220 out of the 440 staff involved in the programmes would lose their jobs following the decision published in May, reports the Guardian.

Whilst Loose Women will stay at the same running time, the number of times it appears on the air will be cut from 52 to 30 weeks.

In a statement following the announcement, the managing director of ITV’s media and entertainment division Kevin Lygo said that cutting Loose Women and Lorraine’s weeks aligned “with the lead daytime presenters who host their shows around a seasonal pattern”.

He added: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust, as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.”

Loose Women’s Brenda Edwards shared her worries about her job amid ITV’s budget cuts. The 56-year-old has been a panellist for the talk show since 2019 and hopes to keep her position on the programme to “raise awareness” on multiple topics that are regularly discussed on the show.

It comes as ITV revealed Loose Women will be airing for 30 weeks instead of 52 weeks starting from the New Year. Over 220 jobs at the channel are also being cut. Speaking to Women’s Own magazine, she said: “You have to move with the times I guess, and I hope this is just an interim thing, and maybe in a few years’ time [it will go back to how it was], but we can only wait and see.

“I don’t like to make assumptions on anything because I don’t know what’s happening there but I hope I manage to get some shows and am able to use my platform to raise awareness for whatever I can.”

She went on to discuss her fellow panellists, admitting she’s a “big fan” of Janet Street-Porter and her ‘feistiness’.

She added: “I just love her feistiness and outspokenness, which I think a lot of us have. She is doing her first-ever tour where she will talk to the audience, and it’s going to be fab!

“I’m assuming she will talk about everything, including her life, so it will be amazing! We support each other as always. I remember when I was growing up all the women in my family loved Janet and what she stood for.”

Brenda isn’t the only Loose Women star to comment on the move as fellow panellist Nadia Sawalha previously said the ITV budget cuts news came “out of the blue” and would be “absolutely brutal” for the show.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, she said: “What’s been brutal, absolutely brutal, over the last week, honestly I feel tearful about it, is that hundreds of people… are going to be made redundant out of the blue, these are all the people behind the scenes that support us in every way.”

The cuts mean that around 220 out of the 440 staff involved in the programmes would lose their jobs following the decision published in May, reports the Guardian.

Whilst Loose Women will stay at the same running time, the number of times it appears on the air will be cut from 52 to 30 weeks.

ITV’s media and entertainment division Kevin Lygo has said that cutting Loose Women and Lorraine’s weeks aligned “with the lead daytime presenters who host their shows around a seasonal pattern”.

He explained: “Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust, as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.”

The family of Ozzy Osbourne have announced that he died, aged 76, today, less than three weeks after his farewell concert with Black Sabbath. His wife Sharon Osbourne and four of his children issued a joint statement this evening.

Ozzy’s family said that he was “surrounded by love” when he died this morning. The statement was signed by Sharon, 72, whom he married in 1982, and their three children Aimee Osbourne, Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne.

The late musician, who appeared with some of his family on the reality TV show the Osbournes, also had two kids, Jessica Osbourne and Louis Osbourne, with his first wife Thelma Riley. Louis was named in the family’s statement.

He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

Ozzy, who has experienced health issues over the years, made his final appearance on stage just over two weeks ago. He performed at Villa Park stadium in Birmingham on July 5 as part of the star-studded Back to the Beginning concert.

The sold-out charity event, which had been announced in February, marked the reunion of Ozzy and his former bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, who are the original members of the band Black Sabbath. It had also been described as Ozzy’s “final performance” before retirement.

It was announced last week that the gig in his hometown is set to be turned into a film. Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow, due to be released next year, is expected to include various highlights and behind-the-scenes footage.

The upcoming film has been described as a “love letter” to Ozzy. It was revealed that the theatrical release “will be a distilled version of the epic all-day event,” with backstage access and interviews teased to be included in it too.

  • Fiona Phillips shares her heartbreak as she begs husband Martin Frizell ‘please don’t leave me’!

Fiona Phillips shares her heartbreak as she begs husband Martin Frizell ‘please don’t leave me’!

She’s opened up on her Alzheimer’s battle in her new book

Fiona Phillips has revealed exactly what it’s like to live with Alzheimer’s, after being diagnosed with the degenerative disease at the age of 61.

In her new book, Remember When: My Life with Alzheimer’s, the former TV presenter – who is now 64 – has shared the heartbreaking realities of the disease.

Husband Martin Frizell has also shared Fiona’s plea to him: “Please don’t leave me.”

    Fiona Phillips’ new book

Fiona Phillips and husband Martin said they decided to write the book to give others hope.

“I hope this book can show people a little about what it’s like to live with Alzheimer’s,” Fiona wrote in the book. “How frightening and confusing it is. But also how much life can still bring joy and be valued.”

Last week, it appeared Fiona was doing just that, as Martin shared a video of the star enjoying an ice cream in the London sunshine.

    Memories ‘out of reach’

Fiona previously admitted that she always knew she’d get the disease. Both her mum and her dad were both diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. However, she didn’t think it would happen to her until a lot later on in life.

Now, the star – who shares grown-up sons Nathaniel and Mackenzie with Martin – is being cared for by the ex-This Morning boss.

In the book, they detail the family kitchen, strewn with pictures of their family holidays and snaps taken during Fiona’s illustrious career. However, Fiona admitted that the memories of the happy times depicted in the pictures are now “out of reach” to her.

“I know they are there. And yet so many of them feel out of my reach now,” she explained. “It’s like I stretch out to touch them, but then just as I’m about to grasp it, the memory skips away from me. And I can’t catch up with it. Like trying to chase a £5 note that’s fallen out of your purse on a gusty day.

“Each time I think I’ve caught it, it whips away again.”

Fiona Phillips on finding talking about her life ‘agonisingly difficult’

Another thing that the cruel disease has whipped away is her ability to chat.

“I used to be able to talk to anyone about anything. Nowadays, I can find talking about my life agonisingly difficult,” she shared. “Sometimes I get halfway through a sentence, and I can’t remember where I was heading with it or the word I was looking for. It feels awful.”

    ‘Please don’t leave me’

Music is one place she can find solace, though, Martin has said, with certain tunes transporting her back to her teens.

“She begins to sing, word perfect,” Martin wrote in the book, adding: “And I stroke her hair as she says: ‘Please don’t leave me.’”

The couple also shared details of a surprising – and brief – marriage split ahead of Fiona’s diagnosis.

Writing in the book, Fiona said she started to become “more and more disconnected from Martin and the boys”. Martin eventually said that he was moving out. However, the pair reunited after Fiona contemplated a future “without him”.

“And if I thought about what a future might be like without him, it just seemed bewildering. A sort of nothingness. I did spend time thinking about how I’d behaved towards him, not just in the past few months but over the years when I’d been so preoccupied with my parents and work. Not that I regretted that for a moment, but clearly it had taken its toll on our marriage,” she said.

Now, Martin is devoted to caring for his beloved wife, who he is being forced to say a heartbreaking “slow goodbye” to.
