Loose Women’s Mariella Frostrup Shockingly Opens Up About Her Past in Hilarious Confession That Leaves Viewers Stunned!

ITV’s Loose Women took an unexpexted turn during the latest episode as Mariella Frostrup made a hilarious confession which caught her co-stars and viewers off guard

Loose Women star Mariella Frostrup left her co-stars red-faced and the studio audience in shock as she made a candid confession on the hit ITV show.

Mariella was back on the panel alongside Nadia Sawalha, Myleene Klass and Judi Love discussing a variety of matters. But when the ladies shared their thoughts on one-night stands and whether women are still stigmatised, the Loose Women let things slip.

Talking about her previous sexual escapades, Mariella revealed that she may have used sex as a void to fill the hurt from losing her father at a young age. But what she said next made viewers gasp.

She said: “My dad died very young, I think I said that before when I was 15. And I spent a few misspent years thinking that was a good way of getting a kind of central male role- back into my body.”

Stumbling on her words, the audience roared with laughter. Stepping in and quickly correcting her, Nadia added: “Missing the affection,” to which Mariella agreed. Expanding further, Mariella spoke about how one-night stands are perceived.

She said: “I was trying to replace how you get affection back. But I think the thing that has changed enormously and I’m really happy about it, is that then it was a shameful thing. For a girl, it was a shameful thing to have a one-night stand. For a guy, it was a score.

“And I think that was very much the situation and for a girl you’d be embarrassed. You would sort of go ‘Oh I can’t believe I did that’ and if they wouldn’t call you, you’d feel really bad and you’d have the walk of shame but I think that has changed and sex is kind of normalised and boys are girls are much more comfortable.”

But Nadia went on to explain that unfortunately, the stigma of women having one-night stands is still prevalent. However, she has been informed that women no longer shame each other as much as they once did which she deems as a positive step to young adults views on sex.

  • Emmerdale John Sugden clues tease villain will finally be exposed very soon

Emmerdale John Sugden clues tease villain will finally be exposed very soon

Emmerdale’s latest episodes appear to be gearing towards the end of killer John Sugden, almost a year on from his debut on the ITV soap with some hints to his downfall

Emmerdale's latest episodes appear to be gearing towards the end of killer John Sugden

It can only be a matter of time before Emmerdale villain John Sugden is finally exposed to the village.

Nate Robinson’s murderer has managed to remain undetected despite a number of mistakes and some shifty behaviour. John killed Nate by accident before dumping his body in the lake and then using Nate’s phone to pretend he’d simply moved on, cutting his family out of his life.

As well as almost framing Nate’s wife Tracy for the death when his body was found, John said nothing and acted like he hadn’t just murdered someone for months. While the guilt is slowly eating away at him now, he’s allowed another person, Owen, to die instead of saving him.

This week he framed patient Owen with a faked confession regarding Nate’s demise. He filled the confession and suicide note with so much detail only the killer would know, while spoilers have teased an alibi could jeopardise John’s dark plan.

Amid this he’s struggling to cope with his actions, confiding in a volunteer at an online helpline about his guilt. He has no idea though that it’s Paddy Kirk, father figure of John’s husband Aaron Dingle, that he is speaking with.

It can only be a matter of time before Emmerdale villain John Sugden is finally exposed

John’s also sparked suspicion with his brother Robert Sugden, who is onto him as it is. But new information about John being at Owen’s house before he died has sent Robert’s mind whirling.

Robert has no idea just how far John’s crimes go though, with him orchestrating a harassment campaign against Chas Dingle and Liam Cavanagh all to get closer to them and be the hero, framing Ella Forster in the process. John also triggered a number of events, while also being in the right place at the right time too.

He left Cain Dingle in serious danger recently with everyone thinking he’d simply drunk too much alcohol and collapsed, with John actually to blame. He deliberately caused Jacob Gallagher to have an allergic reaction by switching their coffees, all so he could save Jacob and again be the hero.

He attacked Liam believing it was Mack Boyd before then saving him, while his feud with Mack also led to him deliberately causing the slurry leak at the farm to frame his enemy. This worked, and Mack’s sister Moira is still at risk of losing her home and the farm, due to fines and losses in finances.

Robert has no idea just how far John's crimes go

John spiked Chas at one point before saving her, also rescuing Ruby Miligan from the barn fire and saving Moira then too just moments after killing Nate. Each time he has done something, his actions have alarmed fans given how careless he can be with the “clean-up” whether that be covering his tracks, disposing of evidence or framing someone.

Robert learns about the Jacob incident next week, already onto John about Nate and Owen’s apparent crime. Whether anyone listens to Robert remains to be seen though, but fans believe John’s husband Aaron is now onto him after catching him burning his medical supplies.

Mack was also onto John at one point and has refused to get involved since. But this hasn’t stopped fans thinking Mack and Robert will soon join forces to expose John, with Mack’s mystery flashforward still not aired.

Claudette Anderson also knows about John visiting Owen, so perhaps she may look into matters, and then there’s Liam who wasn’t John’s biggest fan previously. All it’s going to take is a current ally to turn on John, whether they work with Robert or not.

John’s own clumsiness could be his ultimate downfall, leaving behind evidence or accidentally giving away his crimes or a crime he’s yet to commit. Then there’s Paddy who we now know is John’s mystery confidant – so will John get a little too vocal and end up giving away what he’s done to Paddy?

What if Ella was to return and find a way to prove her innocence? Will they ever question who really attacked Liam all those weeks ago, and will Aidan awake from his coma again and finally expose what John did to him?

With there being such a focus on a huge September plot and new characters Kev, Celia and Ray, all tipped to be baddies, surely the currently village baddie John is on his way out. With so many people now questioning him and Robert keen to expose him for once and for all, not to mention John’s lies so close to unraveling in more ways than one, it’s certainly paving the way for him to be rumbled and a comeuppance could be imminent.

Sir Lenny Henry, who grew up in Dudley, opened up about the racist bullying he endured during his childhood

Comedian Lenny Henry detailed how he used humour as his ‘sword and shield’ against the racist bullies in his childhood. The 66-year-old was born in Dudley in August 1958 to parents Winston and Winifred. His full name is Lenworth George Henry, and he was named after the doctor who delivered him at Burton Road Hospital.

Sir Lenny previously revealed the horrific racist abuse that has plagued him, particularly as part of a Jamaican family in the West Midlands in the 70s. He had said that “Keep Britain white” was often painted on walls in the area he lived in, and that people would hound his mother on the streets, “asking where her tail was”.

In a new interview, the comedian said a lot of his defence from racism came from his late mother, Winifred. She had ‘horrible things’ yelled at her in the street after she moved to England from Jamaica as part of the Windrush Generation.

At the time, Black children living in the area he grew up in were advised to be outside in pairs due to the racist abuse they went through.

Speaking to The Sunday Times’ Culture Magazine, he explained: “We were in the midst of this maelstrom, but you don’t know that when you’re kids. You just gravitate to people who like you, or want to snog you.

    Lenny Henry
The star used humour to protect himself(Image: Getty Images)

“My humour became my sword and shield. I could deflect something with a joke. I was being beaten up by one kid when I started to talk about the ridiculousness of us rolling around on the floor like we were married.

“People started to laugh and suddenly people thought I was worth something. I was still punched, but I’d have people protecting me. I had three white friends by the time I was 12: Greg, Mac and Tom. I still know them today and they saved my life, really. They encouraged me to be funny.”

The racism continued well into his career, with him previously explaining that the National Front smeared “N.F” in excrement on his and ex-wife Dawn French’s door.

They were even threatened with burning rags through the door and abusive letters. Dawn once said: “We had words scratched into every panel of every car — very offensive, derogatory, racist terminology.”

Lenny’s career began when he appeared on New Faces at aged 15, eventually winning the show with his impression of Stevie Wonder. Two years later, he started doing a stand up routine on The Black and White Minstrel show, where performers in blackface sang minstrel songs.

But being the only black performer in this intrinsically racist show gave Lenny “creeping dread”.

“I would arrive at the theatre and know that I would be the only actual black person in the building, perhaps the only one within a 50-mile radius,” he said

Brooklyn Beckham makes defiant trip to UK with wife Nicola as family jet abroad

The ongoing feud between Brooklyn Beckham and the rest of his family has been a source of speculation among fans for months, but the 26-year-old and his wife remain defiant with a trip to England

Brooklyn Beckham remains defiant on trip to UK with wife Nicola while estranged family are in France

Amid the fallout of a ongoing family feud, the formerly tight-knit Beckhams are in tatters, with estranged son Brooklyn remaining defiant as he posts England holiday photos with his wife Nicola Peltz. But while the couple are soaking up the English countryside, the rest of the Beckhams are in the south of France, holidaying as family.

Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola, 30, looked every inch the loved-up couple during their trip to the UK, as they took a leisurely stroll through a picturesque garden. They can be seen enjoying some peaceful time away from the city as they wandered through the grounds.

Nicola took a candid photo of her husband by a quaint garden well, while they both opted for casual outfits for their trip. One sweet photo shows Brooklyn kissing Nicola as they pose in front of a mirror.

While Brooklyn and Nicola made their way to the UK, the rest of the Beckhams jetted off to France. Romeo Beckham, 22, and his sister Harper, 14, stepped out for a quiet dinner in St Tropez on Friday night.

In an ironic turn of events, their estranged brother and his wife had been spotted out in the same place just last week. But despite the apparent radio silence between Brooklyn and his parents, he and Nicola did reach out to Harper recently.

To mark the teen’s birthday at the start of July, he posted a photo of himself and Nicola, alongside his little sister on Instagram. Writing on the Stories post, he said: “Happy birthday harper we love u x,” and tagged his wife.

Actress and socialite Nicola, 30, reshared the post on her own Story. Brooklyn was 12 when his youngest sibling was born.

He and Harper have been close over the years, but there was said to be tension from those close to the family who were worried he wouldn’t reach out at all amid the family feud. Sources shared their concerns after Brooklyn and Nicola failed to see Harper when they visited London in May to film an advert. The location for the shoot was just over a mile from the family home.

The fears came after Brooklyn had been absent from a number of other recent family milestones. After failing to attend any of dad David’s 50th celebrations, he also publicly blanked the former footballer’s proud moment as it was announced he was being knighted.

Brooklyn’s younger brothers, Romeo and Cruz, also wished their sister a happy birthday on social media, alongside her parents David and Victoria. Brooklyn did wish David’s mum Sandra happy birthday, despite ignoring both of his parents’ big days. However, he didn’t do the same for Victoria’s dad Tony back in May.

Earlier this month, Nicola Peltz, 30, hit back at claims she is “controlling” husband Brooklyn after posting photos from a party with some friends. While some fans commented to share well wishes over the occasion, others criticised Nicola and Brooklyn. One included the suggestion that Nicola is to blame for the rumoured rift between her husband and his parents.

Jumping to Nicola’s defence, some fans replied to the comments on the post, which included photos of Brooklyn beside Nelson. One comment, in which it was suggested that Brooklyn can make his own decisions, was liked by Nicola.

  • ‘I miss daughter Martine McCutcheon so much after son’s death – we don’t speak’

‘I miss daughter Martine McCutcheon so much after son’s death – we don’t speak’

Bestselling author Jenny Tomlin was devastated by the sudden death of her son in 2022. Consumed by grief she lost touch with her daughter, former EastEnders star Martine McCutcheon. Now, she’s pleading for her forgiveness

Martine McCutcheon and her mum, Jenny Tomlin, used to be joined at the hip, but a sudden death in the family led to a devastating breakdown. Now heartbroken Jenny is desperate for a reconciliation. “There was nothing she didn’t include me in,” says Jenny. “We did all the wonderful stuff – the premiere of Love Actually, the restaurants – but the memories I cherish are of us just sitting on my bed, bringing up old memories and laughing. I miss that.”

Their relationship started to fall apart after the tragic death of Martine’s brother Laurence John – known affectionately as LJ – in 2022. He was just 31. Jenny says she suffered an emotional breakdown and pushed Martine away. Jenny, 69, wants to apologise to Martine, 49, for cutting her off, she reveals in an exclusive interview with OK!.

Martine and Jenny were ‘joined at the hip’ until the tragic death of Jenny’s son and Martine’s brother AJ in 2023

“When I lost LJ, I detached. I was so heartbroken I couldn’t talk to Martine,” she says. “There was no big row – Martine tried to contact me for months, but I didn’t answer. Martine was grieving and needed me, too. “I want the chance to say sorry. I miss her so much – it physically hurts.”

Jenny and Martine did meet once, briefly, last October, but it wasn’t the reunion she hoped for. “Martine texted me out of the blue,” says Jenny. “She’d moved into a new home and wondered if my husband Alan could do some painting. We jumped at the chance and went over, but we didn’t talk in depth. It was awkward and the atmosphere felt heavy.”

There was vague talk of Christmas plans, but nothing was confirmed. That, Jenny says, was when the silence truly began. Reflecting on another high-profile rift that has made headlines, Jenny says: “I understand the pain Victoria Beckham is going through over her estrangement from Brooklyn. He was her firstborn, too. It’s a heartbreaking situation for anybody who is estranged or has lost their child.”

Recalling the pain of losing LJ, Jenny’s voice cracks. “It’s not the natural order to lose a child.” But Jenny realises the mistake she made “broke” Martine’s heart. “Eventually, I did pull myself out of that dark hole, but maybe it was too late,” she says.

Recalling the day LJ died, Jenny says she got a phone call from his fiancée, who said he’d collapsed and they couldn’t revive him. Still in her pyjamas, Jenny drove the hour and a half from her home in Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire to LJ’s by the Essex coast – but it was too late.

“My precious boy was on the floor, wrapped up. I remember saying, ‘It’s OK to open your eyes now, son, I’m here’,” she says, tearfully. “They’d worked hard doing CPR on him, but couldn’t bring him back. “It was like a nightmare. I couldn’t believe my boy was gone.”

An autopsy revealed that LJ – who didn’t smoke or drink – had succumbed to acute ischaemic heart disease and diabetes. Jenny rang Martine from the scene, but was so distraught her daughter had to speak to paramedics to find out what had happened. In the early hours, Jenny drove to Martine’s.

“She looked at me and realised I needed looking after,” Jenny says. “She’d prepared the spare room, stroked my hair, gave me a cuddle and, somehow, I slept.” LJ was laid to rest on 31 October 2022. After, Jenny says her life went “down a deep, dark pit”. She says, “I was seen by a mental health team and given anti-anxiety meds.”

Martine adored her younger brother and was very protective over him, says Jenny(Image: martinemccutcheon/Instagram )

Martine, who played Tiffany Mitchell in EastEnders from 1994 to 1998, was 15 when LJ was born and Jenny recalls how she became a sort of surrogate mum to him. Following LJ’s death, Jenny was paralysed by anxiety, and suspects this is at the heart of why she hasn’t seen her daughter or grandson, 10-year-old Rafferty, in so long.

“I didn’t contact Martine,” she says. “I abandoned her. I was so wrapped up in my own grief that I was neglecting my other child. That was the start of it, and things just… snowballed. And here we are.” Jenny, an author of novels and memoir, including Behind Closed Doors about the abuse she suffered as a child, says she’s reached out to Martine recently – calling, texting, sending cards – but claims she has had no response.

Just weeks ago, after a moment of clarity, Jenny and Alan drove the 90 minutes to Martine’s house in Surrey. “I was banging on the door shouting her name,” she admits. “But nobody answered. So I gave up, got in the car and drove home distraught. I turned to Alan and said, ‘I don’t think she’ll ever speak to me again’.

“That’s why I’ve done this interview as a plea for Martine to get in touch.” In the last couple of months, Jenny feels more like herself and has started writing a memoir about LJ. But her guilt over Martine remains. “I let Martine down. There’s not a day goes by when I don’t think of her.

“Losing Rafferty has felt like another death,” she says. And her love for Rafferty has inspired Jenny to write children’s books, which she hopes to dedicate to him.

When Martine’s 18-year relationship to musician Jack McManus broke down last year, she and Jenny weren’t in contact. And it’s not something Jenny is willing to discuss. “That’s between Martine and Jack,” she says.

“I don’t think I’ll ever stop trying when it comes to my girl. If I could speak to Martine, I’d tell her how sorry I am. I’ve lost one child, I don’t want to lose another.”

Next year, Jenny turns 70. The greatest gift anyone could give her would be to share a cuppa with her daughter, while her grandson plays in the garden. “I’ve seen what silence does to families,” she says. “I don’t want that for us. I don’t want to be another story of regret. I want us to love each other. To find our way back.”

‘Trauma doesn’t always look like tears’

Grief expert Tina Chummun, Person Centred Trauma Specialist Psychotherapist of Care2Counsel, says of Jenny’s situation: “When a mother loses a child, especially in a traumatic or unexpected way, her nervous system can become overwhelmed – we often see intense grief manifest as numbness, withdrawal or cognitive collapse.

“If you are grieving the loss of one child, and in that shattered fragile state, couldn’t show up for the other. From the daughter’s perspective, her mum may have seemed to disappear just when she needed her most, creating a rupture that now feels insurmountable.

Tina adds, “For a mother, emerging from that fog years later and finding the door closed can feel like experiencing a second bereavement – the living grief of estrangement as though she’s lost both children. Rebuilding trust starts with accountability, patience and time..”

“Trauma doesn’t always look like tears – sometimes, it looks like silence behind closed doors. The bridge back is built slowly, with humility and hope. Vulnerability can be the bridge that grief once burned.”

Jack P Shepherd is married! Coronation Street star kisses bride in first wedding photos

Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd has been pictured at his wedding day, taking place in Manchester today, as he and Hanni Treweek tie the knot one year after getting engaged

Soap star Jack P Shepherd and his bride Hanni Treweek as they pair are officially married! The pair have been seen together in the first photographs from their special day today, as they tied the knot at Manchester Cathedral.

The Coronation Street David Platt actor, 37, was photographed looking dapper in a suit as he stood alongside his new wife Hanni, 36, moments after the pair exchanged vows and said ‘I do’ in front of beloved family and friends in a stunning ceremony.

Photos show the newlyweds matching in white as Jack sported a fashionable off-white suit jacket on top of a black waistcoat, and a white shirt. His ensemble was completed by a pair of black suit trousers and a black bow tie.

Hanni, meanwhile, was a vision in white as she wore a stunning long dress with a full skirt and dramatically long train. The dress comprised of a lace, off-the-shoulder top with long sleeves which made the bride look elegant and beautiful. She topped off the look with a dramatically long veil, which was fastened into place using a tiara.

The newlyweds shared a romantic kiss on the steps of Manchester Cathedral as elated guests covered the happy couple with confetti.

Jack and Hanni got engaged last year, after the soap actor popped the question to his former soap colleague during a romantic safari adventure in Tanzania.

The soap star previously revealed he had taken part in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year to help pay for the lavish big day, but he didn’t expect to win the ITV reality show.

Ahead of their big day, the couple gave glimpses of the planning process, which the pair have been doing with the help of events company Taylor Lynn Corporation.

In an Instagram post where Hanni shared highlights from the planning process, including a snap of the day she chose her wedding dress and the wine they have picked out for the occasion, she revealed sweet details. Hanni revealed she and Jack had “built our guest list in this cosy little cabin”.

As she marked the four-week countdown to her wedding in the post, she gushed: “Here’s to four weeks of making special memories, feeling excited, nervous, overwhelmed, emotional, in love and everything else that comes with being a bride”. And groom Jack commented: “It’s gonna be EPIC!”

Meanwhile, Jack previously gave an insight into their wedding as he was quizzed on Good Morning Britain on if he was going to invite his Celebrity Big Brother housemates to celebrate his big day. Jack confessed: “I don’t think so. I’ve only known them three weeks and have a guest list a mile long.”

The pair began dating later that year when they bumped into one another at a supermarket, with Jack joking about the awkwardness of their meeting and Hanni expressing concerns about her appearance. Jack, however, was smitten, saying: “I actually thought she looked fit I just saw the girl I fancy wearing Lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked.”

Ruth Langsford’s legal team are pulling together a “forensic” timeline of Eamonn’s new relationship ahead of divorce talks.

It follows reports that Eamonn, 64, and Katie Alexander, 43, were first in touch 12 years ago – when they reportedly exchanged flirty messages online. Sources close to the separated couple say lawyers acting for Loose Women favourite Ruth, 64, are compiling information on dates and times surrounding her ex’s blossoming relationship.

And that they are prepared to speak to dating counsellor Katie’s ex husband if needed. An insider said: “Ruth’s legal team are compiling a forensically detailed account of Eamonn’s relationship with Katie and when it started. Ruth’s team are doing their due diligence ahead of the divorce proceedings. They are prepared to speak to people in Ruth and Eamonn’s wider circle.”

It was claimed last week that Eamonn and Katie had exchanged flirty messages online 12 years ago. The dialogue also involved Katie’s husband George – who joked: “Think she’s flirting with you.”

Since that was reported, Eamonn and mum-of-three Katie have contacted their exes to reassure them their relationship only began once their previous ones had come to a definite end. The source added: “Katie and Eamonn have been scrambling around to tell their respective exes that they were not romantically involved way back then.”

Following 14 years of marriage, TV couple Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes – who have son Jack, 22, announced their shock split in May. The couple released a joint statement saying: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

Ruth is said to have hired £400-an-hour lawyer Catherine Costley, who previously worked under the country’s top divorce lawyer, Baroness Fiona Shackleton, who represented the King in his split from Diana, as well as Sir Paul McCartney.

Eamonn and Katie made their first public appearance as a couple this week, at the Irish Post Awards. Ruth recently made a joke at soon to be ex-husband Eamonn Holmes, while talking about hoarding. Speaking on Loose Women, she said: “I’m throwing out a lot of stuff out at the minute!” prompting laughter from the audience.

Katie hails from Yorkshire and has a 22-year-old son called Ben with her ex, coach driver Michael Devine. The mum-of-three was previously married to bar owner George Alexander, with a son and a daughter together too. The couple separated in 2022, several years after she first made online contact with the GB News presenter.

George and Katie parted amicably, with Eamonn not linked to their split and he told how his ex stayed in contact with new pal Eamonn after her marriage ended. “I was surprised by it,” he said. “Katie would go and visit him. It was a regular pattern.”

While George’s marriage break up had nothing to do with the TV presenter, some reports have suggested Ruth discovered in the year running up to their split Eamonn had been showering Katie with gifts. This included reportedly joining her at a safari park with her children and giving them Beyonce tickets.

Ruth and Eamonn’s representatives were approached for comment. Ruth’s declined to comment.

The multi-platinum Take That star is at the helm of a five-part series titled Gary Barlow’s Wine Tour South Africa, airing for the first time this Monday, November 11, on ITV. Singer and Loose Women star Jane McDonald is one of the celebrities who agreed to join him for an episode due to be aired this Thursday (November 14) and, in a post shared on her Instagram this Monday, the 61-year-old revealed a glimpse of what she’d been up to while filming with Gary Barlow.

In one snap, the pair are beaming as they enjoy some downtime in the sunshine. The Wakefield-born singer can be seen dressed in a bright orange swimsuit, finishing off the outfit with a matching printed kaftan and a pair of white shorts. Jane added some finishing touches to her look with a pair of black cat eye sunglasses and a silver necklace, her hair loose on her shoulders.

Taking to the caption, Jane wrote: “Not to be missed!!! @officialgarybarlow’s new series, Gary Barlow’s Wine Tour South Africa begins today at 2pm on @ITV. I’ll be joining Gary for episode 4 (this Thursday, Nov 14th at 2pm on ITV), as we head north to Skukuza in the Kruger National Park. @rockoystermedia @talent4media.”

Many of Jane’s 238k followers jumped on to the comment section, excited for her upcoming TV appearance. One wrote: “This sounds really interesting- I will make sure that I watch. South Africa is a country on a different level – so amazing.” Another added: “I can’t wait to see this.” A third, however, struggled to recognise Gary Barlow in the post: “Did not recognise @officialgarybarlow thought it was your new fella.”

Back in September, cruising expert Jane made candid revelations about her personal life, admitting she was living with someone, her long-term friend Sue Ravey, following the death of her partner of 15 years, Eddie Rothe. Speaking to Lorraine at the time, she said: “It’s the best thing ever. She’s a great cook, she does my hair and make-up. She puts the bins out! You know, what more could I want? And she’s absolutely hilarious.”

Sue gave Lorraine and Jane a wave from backstage, as Lorraine commented: “How lovely to have that, because despite your successes and all the amazing things you do, you don’t want to go back to an empty house.” Jane agreed: “No you don’t. Speaking of the house, it’s too big. We have this huge house that all we do is clean, and my nails can’t take it, Lorraine! So I think we’re going to downsize now, we’re looking forward to that.”

Coleen Nolan’s son Jake Roche has revealed he is about to become a father – with the bundle of joy due to arrive in just days.

The 32-year-old singer – who is the son of 59-year-old Loose Women star Coleen Nolan and EastEnders icon Shane Richie, 60 – is expecting his first child with his partner, Georgia. Jake is the lead singer of a band called Push Baby – formerly known as Rixton – but has also stretched his creative wings in the world of acting.

He found critical praise for his stage show Neporrhoids which is a one-man show about his rise and fall in the music world. The show was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and was due to transfer to the Pleasance Theatre in London later this month – but he has now cancelled his dates and moved them to January 17 and 18 after he had a sudden change in family matters.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, he announced in a statement: “Due to an unexpected yet exciting family development, I’ve decided to reschedule my upcoming November shows – 21/22/23. My partner and I are expecting the arrival of our little one around that time (sooner than we thought), and I want to be fully present to support her and our growing family.”

The star continued: “All tickets will be transferred over to the new date in January or refunded. Thank you for your patience and understanding! Here’s to the future of Nepo Babies!” He also added in a further caption to the statement: “New show link is in my bio. Hope to see you there.”

The news was met with a wall of support from fans who rushed to congratulate him on his family update. One follower wrote: “Big congrats to you Jake!” However, another joked: “You don’t need to make something up just because you’re bored of doing the show.” Another follower urged the star to delay his performance dates even further as they predicted he would be tired from parenting. They wrote: “Jake please do it late in january as back from my own promotional tour of gender equality in india on 26th jan! seeing emma for lunch tomorrow and thinking of you and georgia and sending love!”

Jake’s mum Coleen revealed how excited she is about the news – which she learned of herself following a week full of family surprises. She had already been delighted by the early return of her daughter Ciara and her fiancé from their travels, her sister Maureen’s 70th birthday party and her sister Denise’s wedding. The Nolan Sisters star said: “The cherry on the cake was a visit from my son Jake and his partner Georgia.

“I can finally reveal that I’m going to be a grandmother again, as they’re expecting a baby at the end of the year. On Saturday, a few of us got together at my house for the gender reveal and, just as I said, ‘I think it’s a boy’, Jake let off the confetti gun and turned the living room blue. I couldn’t be more thrilled about having a grandson.”

Denise Welch fans left baffled as she adopts bizarre new accent on US talk show

Loose Women star Denise Welch appeared on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen where she debuted a brand-new ‘transatlantic accent’

Denise Welch has left fans baffled after she unveiled a brand-new accent while being interviewed on a US talkshow. The Loose Women panellist appeared on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen where she debuted her seemingly new accent.

The TV star, 67, has been accused of making her accent ‘non-binary’ and ‘more posh’ by fans on X who have commented on the now viral clip of Denise, 67, sharing her support for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after revealing what she really thinks of Taylor Swift.

In the clip, Denise was asked what the UK’s general opinion is on Harry and Meghan as it stands today. In response, Denise insisted that she is the only panelist on Loose Women who supports and likes the former Royals – but it was were new dulcet tones that got viewers talking rather than her thoughts on the couple.

“Well, I have a very different view to a lot of people. On the show that I do at home, called Loose Women, I’m the only one who flies the Prince Harry and Meghan flag and I know them. I’ve met a few of the Royals over the years but I have never met them.

“I just think that the amount of bullying by the press, both British and American, that that woman gets…. Remember she was in those rooms as a young black American woman. She had a big voice in Unicef and in the United Nations and she was in a lot of those big rooms before Harry was.

“I just kind of try to fly the flag a bit. You’ve got to remember that this is a boy who was forced at 12-years-old to walk behind his mother’s coffin. His dad had been unfaithful and he grew up in that world. I think for him to want to say his piece is something quite admirable.”

After speaking with Andy Cohen, social media users pointed out Denise’s sudden change in accent. Taking to X, one wrote: “So why has Denise completely changed her accent? She sounds so much more posh. Trying to impress I see.” Another questioned: “What happened to her accent? WTF.”

“I can’t get over Denise’s new non-binary accent. Her diversity. We’ve lost her to the states I fear,” another joked. Someone else echoed: “She has a transatlantic accent.” And another mocked: “I thought this was AI.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the TV star didn’t hold back as she shared her thoughts on her son Matty Healy’s brief romance with Taylor Swift. Denise was asked about her famous son Matty who is the lead singer of The 1975.

Denise was immediately asked about his relationship with Taylor, and specifically, what she thought about the pop star’s Tortured Poets Department album. Taylor, who is dating Travis Kelce, is known to write songs about her high-profile relationships and fans dissected the album to figure out which tracks were written about Matty.

Denise seemingly claimed Taylor’s fans hit out at any person who dares to criticise the 35-year-old pop star. When Andy asked what she thought of the hit album, Denise said: “Obviously, on pain of death can I talk about that episode, but not being her mother-in-law is a role that I am glad that I lost.”

The straightforward comment shocked everyone in the room, including Andy. She quickly tried to calm things down as she added: “Not that I have anything against her at all! It was just – it was tricky.”

She then suggested it’s difficult to comment on anything to do with Taylor, as her fans would negatively react to it. “She – listen, you’re not allowed to say anything, and then she writes a whole album about it,” Denise explained.

Denise said that Matty has taken the album’s personal tracks ‘all in completely good grace,’ and added: “He’s very happy with his amazing fiancée Gabriella,” referring to singer Gabbriette. “So we’ve moved on,” the ITV presenter said.
