TV star Ant McPartlin has accused Alan Halsall of being ‘passive aggressive’ in his clash with Dean McCullough in I’m a Celeb.

BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean had a heated exchange with the Coronation Street star in the programme over how the actor had handled waking him up.

Ant addressed the row on his and Dec’s Instagram Live. Dec said: “Can we talk about the first little bit of tension in the camp,” to which Ant replied: “What would you have done, would you have kicked off? Alan was kind of OK about it, but he had a little bit of passive aggressiveness back as well, didn’t he?”

But Ant added of Dean’s outburst: “I wouldn’t stand for any of that… I would be like ‘shut-up’.”

Dean had taken a nap but was later awoken by camp leader Alan as he needed to do his chore of collecting firewood alongside Loose Women panellist Jane Moore.

After a sleepy Dean hardly stirred, soap star Alan asked him: “You don’t fancy it? No?” Alan then went to help out Jane himself as camp rules state she was not allowed to do it by herself.

Northern Irish presenter Dean followed afterwards and told him Alan could “go back now”.

The actor told him: “I was trying to wake you up as soft as I could,” to which Dean replied: “Listen to me. If you’re going to wake me up, you need to give me a minute, alright?

“It takes me a couple of minutes for my contact lenses to get back working again, all right?

“So you don’t need to turn around to me and say: ‘Do you not fancy it?’ OK? And then turn around and walk away.”

Dean then repeatedly asked Alan to “listen” to him, with the later explaining: “I didn’t say it how you think I meant it, but if you took it that way, then I apologise.”

The actor confirmed he was not trying to have a dig at the radio DJ, to which Dean said he understood but that he felt he “didn’t get a chance to respond”.

Dean later said in the Bush Telegraph: “I opened my eyes and wee Tyrone from Coronation Street is like: ‘Come on, mate, you need to go down to the bottom of the creek.’

“He didn’t even give me a chance to say yes or no because he went: ‘You don’t fancy it? No?’ and ran. He was being a real camp leader.

“I was like: ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa don’t dig me out like that.’ And I had to say to him: ‘If you’re going to say: ‘Don’t fancy it?’ – give me a chance’.

“Because, of course, I fancy it. I want to help Jane. I went straight down and helped her.” Dean was later seen apologising to Jane before joining her in carrying the wood for the campfire.

In his own Bush Telegraph moment, Alan said: “It was a flippant comment, I’m sorry if you took it in the wrong way. Wasn’t actually meant like that, it was just a bit of a joke.

“If I was asleep and you woke me up, I won’t fancy it either.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! star Jane Moore has made her first TV appearance after being evicted from the Australian jungle.

The TV star, 62, reunited with her Loose Women co-stars on Monday as she joined Christine Lampard, Linda Robson, Judi Love, and Brenda Edwards via video call from Down Under.

A tired and worn out Jane appeared on video call, and revealed who her winner of the 2024 series is. Jane insisted that none other than Coleen Rooney deserves to win the show in her eyes – after the pair cemented a close bond while in the jungle together.

At first, Jane admitted that she felt she couldn’t get too close to Coleen, 38, given that she was from a journalistic background. However, as the days went on, Jane found herself gravitating towards WAG Coleen more and more.

Lifting the lid on what Coleen is really like behind the scenes, Jane told her Loose Women co-stars that the mum-of-four is quite reserved and quiet in the jungle. “I now call her Col. We’re not Coleen anymore, we’re Col. She’s brilliant. She’s very quiet and quite reserved.

“I thought in the camp that I would quietly get to know her. I wanted her to come out of her shell a bit, and she did confide in me that she was a bit overwhelmed by all the big personalities in camp – which is understandable. I really think that she’s coming into her own now. She is such a grafter and I hope she wins.”

During Friday’s instalment of I’m A Celebrity, it was announced that Loose Women’s Jane was the first campmated voted off the new series of the ITV show. Jane spoke to Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly following her departure, describing her stint in the jungle as “such a weird and magical experience”.

Some viewers shared surprise over Jane’s departure, with a number of fans having called for radio host Dean to be the first campmate to go this week. One wrote: “Dean still in the jungle i cannot go on like this.” Another said: “Guys I thought we were getting rid of Dean… GUYS PLEASE I THOUGHT WE AGREED?!” A third teased: “The British public like to disappoint others don’t they. Dean was supposed to be the 1st gone. Then Jane.”

Whilst talking to Ant and Dec, Jane reflected on the experience of having been a campmate. When asked if she was disappointed to be first out, she responded: “No more washing up – yes!” She also stated that: “Hard work doesn’t get rewarded.”

During her stint in the jungle, Jane came under fire after she accused Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones of being “sexist” and “ageist” over a camp chore. Viewers were unconvinced by her tirade too after voting for her to do a bushtucker trial.

Reflecting, she said: “I collected the logs, I built the fire, I emptied the dunny, because my partner was Dean, who was on trials all the time. So I did it all on my own, put out the rubbish. I had three jobs. I worked like a dog, and then they gave me the washing up, which is a really tough job to go three times a day all the way to the bottom of the creek, lugging everything. I wasn’t pleased about that, to be honest. I said to Danny when he walked out: ‘don’t give me cleaning’.”

She added that she “can’t wait to get rid of the washing up,” adding: “I’m never washing up again, ever. Yeah, it’s been hard work down there this year.” Jane backed Melvin Odoom or Coleen Rooney to win as they work hard in camp. She said: “I think Melvin is an absolute slogger. He’s very quiet. He doesn’t push himself forward. Colleen is another one. So they keep everything going. They’re not flamboyant but they’re solid.”

She said she enjoyed her time on the show – but said it wasn’t the “best experience” given the rain. “I will look back on this experience with a long list of fond memories, and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. […] I’ve never been so soaked in all my life, constantly. But you know, all of those guys in there are absolutely wonderful people. I’ve loved getting to know them all by asking them questions.”

Speaking about her departure, Ant said that he wasn’t surprised she had left. He said on Unpacked: “I’m not surprised because I think she hit the nail on the head [saying she had kept her head down and just did chores].” He suggested that campmates who have that approach don’t get the same amount of air time.

However, she appears to be trying to recruit another member for the Loose Women panel. ITV are reportedly wanting to sign Coleen Rooney to the hit daytime show upon her jungle exit.

The WAG is a fan favourite to be crowned Queen of the Jungle and has spilled on her life with famous husband Wayne and their four sons. Coleen has already appeared on Loose Women as a guest but has never secured a permanent spot. She is said to have turned down the opportunity while her sons Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, five, were young.

Ruth confessed she would “love” to have Coleen on the show and branded it “absolutely fantastic”. Speaking on spin-off show, I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked she said: “On Loose Women, we share our lives, warts and all. So actually the fact that we don’t know Coleen very well, she’s very private, maybe now she’s felt comfortable enough to open up and she’s met Jane, they’ve become friends, so Coleen please come on.”

Loose Women hosts were left taken back as Gino D’Acampo made an ‘awkward’ remark about an on-screen ‘kiss rule’.

During Wednesday’s episode of the ITV hit chat show, panellists Kaye Adams, Frankie Bridge, Kelly Brooks, Kelly Holmes were joined by the Italian TV chef, 48, as he promoted his new cook book.

However just seconds after appearing on the panel, things took a turn as Gino went around a gave each of the presenters a kiss on the check.

It appears as though he broke a rule as he went on to reveal: “They told me ‘please don’t kiss the ladies on the table’ but what kind of Italian would come on the show without kissing the ladies. The rules are rubbish.”

The panellists laughed off the remark as Kelly turned to Gino and joked: “Well I think you’ve just got fired.” Everyone burst out laughing as a baffled Gino questioned: “What, for a kiss?”

Viewers watching at home wasted no time sharing their reaction online as one viewer took to X, formally known as Twitter and pointed out: “That was very awkward…. #loosewomen Frankie looked uncomfortable.”

#Another commented: “#loosewomen Gino being so careful with his innuendo today.” One wrote: “Careful Gino they’ll be wanting to cancel you. #loosewomen.” Meanwhile another asked: “Do you really think they told him not to kiss them?? #Loosewomen.”

Talk soon turned to Gino’s ‘ultimate air fryer cookbook’ that has quickly become one of Sunday Times Bestsellers. Kaye was quick to point out: “So you say what type of Italian doesn’t give someone a kiss when they greet them but what kind of Italian uses an airfryer.”

Pointing at the book, Gino insisted: “An Italian who made a hell of a lot of money.” Kaye jumped in: “At least you are honest.”

Gino’s remark comes following the Gregg Wallace controversy surrounding allegations of inappropriate comments to female contestants.

The former MasterChef presenter, 60, has recently been embroiled in scandal after a number of people stepped forward to claim he had used inappropriate sexual language on the set of his BBC show.

Attempting to address the allegations, Gregg released a string of videos to his Instagram Stories in which he argued those making claims against him were “a handful of middle class women of a certain age” but he later apologised for the remark.

Meanwhile, Celebrity MasterChef Christmas specials have been dropped from TV schedules. The BBC has confirmed that it will not air the previously recorded specials, Radio Times reports.

Two episodes, titled Celebrity MasterChef Christmas Cook Off and MasterChef Meets Strictly Festive Extravaganza, were due to air over the Christmas period, but have since been pulled after the BBC faced mounting pressure.

Pete Wicks has revealed he may have to undergo surgery following a re-emerging condition from his childhood. The TOWIE star opened up on his condition in a chat with pal Sam Thompson on their podcast, Staying Relevant.

Pete, 37, explained how he struggled with his vision as a child. He revealed that despite seeking treatment on the condition previously, it has since began to return. And he admitted it was former Love Island star Olivia Attwood that noticed its return.

Speaking to Sam, Pete said he used to wear an eye patch as a child to help rectify the issue. He said: “I may have to go back to having an eye patch. I’m going to tell the truth here.

“I used to be called Pirate Pete, it’s a weird nickname, but actually it was my mum that first called me that when I was a kid because I had a lazy eye when I used to get tired.”

Despite Sam giggling at his revelation, Pete continued: “So I had this eye patch to try to correct it, which it did, so that was great. The bad eye is coming back as I’m getting older, it’s going for a walk.”

Sam asked Pete what his plans were regarding the issue, to which he replied: ‘I have to go and see an eye specialist to see whether or not we can re-train it or whether I am going to have some kind of surgery.”

Pete went on to reveal Olivia’s part in discovering the issue was back and encouraged him to seek a medical opinion. ” ‘I’ve started noticing,” he said.

“It was Liv that f***ing noticed it. It was Liv that mentioned it then.”

Sam added he did think Pete’s eye was “getting quite bad” before Pete jumped in: “Well great, I’m glad I don’t feel conscious about it.” He then revealed his appointment with a specialist is booked in for a few weeks time.

Pete is said to be dating again following his split from Maura Higgins. It’s speculated he has found a new romantic interest in former Love Island star Samantha Kenny. The 27-year-old was a contestant on season 11 of the reality dating show in the summer of 2024 but was dumped from the island just over two weeks after she entered the villa.

The Sun has claimed the duo have enjoyed a number of dates together, with a source saying: “Pete and Samantha have gone on a few dates and have really hit it off.

“She’s got a wicked sense of humour and is absolutely gorgeous.”

Linda Nolan’s step-son who had been fighting cancer alongside the famous singer has tragically died it has been announced

Linda Nolan’s stepson who had also been fighting cancer has tragically died. Lloyd died on Tuesday after fighting throat cancer.

Llloyd, the son of Linda’s husband, Brian had been diagnosed with throat cancer in September 2023. His tumour was too large and close to his vocal cords, so surgery had been ruled out. Linda, who was also battling cancer had been supporting Lloyd who underwent an intense round of radiotherapy.

A family friend said: “They were fighting side by side, Linda would finish her treatment and text him to check in. They joked about their meds, shared their side effects, cried together too. Linda really thought he’d outlive her. She needed that belief.”

While undergoing treatment, Lloyd was rushed to hospital after suffering a bleed when ulcers had formed around his tumour, causing further complications. But last year, things appeared to be hopeful for him after scans confirmed that his throat cancer had cleared.

A friend said: “Linda was absolutely over the moon. She kept saying ‘I’ll be the one to go, but he is going to be fine,’ she clung to that.” Sadly, when it emerged that Linda’s tumours had metastasised to her brain, Lloyd also discovered that his cancer had spread to his lungs and was incurable.

Wildlife broadcaster Sir David Attenborough has delivered what promises to be the ‘greatest message’ of his life as he prepares to release his new film, Ocean, on his 99th birthday

Sir David Attenborough says he is sharing the most important film of his career ahead of his 99th birthday. The beloved wildlife expert will mark his landmark birthday on Thursday, having graced television for over 70 years.

He is also gearing up for the release of his cinema-length film Ocean, which he believes could play a role in saving biodiversity and protecting the planet from climate change.

In a powerful message, Sir David said: “After almost 100 years on the planet, I now understand the most important place on Earth is not on land, but at sea.”

The film argues how the ocean is the planet’s support system and our greatest ally against climate disaster. It is also set to show how all the world’s oceans are at a crossroads.

Ocean will premiere later today at Royal Festival Hall, with a blue carpet rolled out for the occasion. An array of celebrities are set to be in attendance, including Coldplay’s Chris Martin, actor Benedict Cumberbatch, astronaut Tim Peake and Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner.

The film documents how the oceans and our understanding of them has changed over Sir David’s life. Producer Toby Nowlan said: “This is not about seeing brand new natural history behaviours. It is the greatest message he’s ever told.”

Sir David takes viewers back to his first scuba dive in 1957 on the Great Barrier Reef. He said: “I was so taken aback by the spectacle before me I forgot – momentarily – to breathe.”

Devastatingly, there has been a catastrophic decline in life with the broadcasting veteran noting: “We are almost out of time.” Sir David even revealed the state of the ocean almost made him lose hope for future life on our planet.

However, what has kept him from his despair has been the “most remarkable discovery of all” that the ocean can “recover faster than we had ever imagined”.

The key message in his film is that all is not lost, as he hopes it will spur leaders to take action. “The ocean can bounce back to life,” Sir David said. “If left alone it may not just recover but thrive beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.”

Last week, the broadcaster expressed that he is “nearing the end of his life.” He referred to his own mortality while discussing his upcoming series for Disney+.

“When I first saw the sea as a young boy, it was thought of as a vast wilderness to be tamed and mastered for the benefit of humanity. Now, as I approach the end of my life, we know the opposite is true,” he said.

“After living for nearly a hundred years on this planet, I now understand that the most important place on Earth is not on land, but at sea.”

Through his documentaries, Sir David has long highlighted the environmental challenges facing the world and contributed to the development of initiatives aimed at protecting endangered species.

The 98 year old broadcaster shared: “The world would be in a far, far worse situation now had there been no broadcasting of natural history. People have found it a source of fascination, beauty, and interest, which has become key to looking after the world.”

Anne recently opened up about mortality, with the 80-year-old saying that she thinks about it “quite a lot”. She said: “I look at the obituaries saying, oh, golly, they went at 70, they went at 72. But then the other day there was a woman who died at 116.

“So what I do is I try to keep fit, and live in the day and be grateful for wonderful grandsons, my daughter and my son in law, although he supports Everton, but you can’t have everything… And I love clothes. I keep buying clothes, I don’t think, Oh, well, I won’t need any soon.”

She added: “Medically, and in our heads, we’ve just progressed a great deal. If you look at Jane Fonda, I don’t know she must be 83, 84, and she’s looking fantastic. It’s why, when I had a facelift, I immediately said that I’d had one, because I didn’t want people who are my age to think, why don’t I look like her with no lines? I’ve just thrown money at my face. Not sure it’s working anymore… But not everyone has those options. I have been very lucky.”

Celebs Go Dating bosses have reportedly made a decision on the new series’ line-up following the exit of Christine McGuinness. The model, 37, announced on Instagram that she had left the series just days into filming Celebs Go Dating in Ibiza.

She wrote in a statement last week: “I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention that brings is just too soon for me. They’ve said the door is always open for me which I’m so grateful but for now I’m returning home to my family.”

Now, Celebs Go Dating has reportedly chosen not to replace her following Chris Hughes’ dramatic U-turn. The Celebrity Big Brother star had reportedly been lined up to take Christine’s place on the show, but decided not to take the gig at the last minute.

According to The Sun, Channel 4 bosses have decided not to bring in another latecomer after considering replacing Christine. “Obviously they toyed with putting Chris Hughes in the mix but then he changed his mind, and they felt like that would have made the line-up too male heavy anyway,” a source said.

“Production is already underway and they didn’t want to scramble to find someone of Christine’s calibre because that signing took months to land.”

They added that with Mark Labbett and Sam Prince already joining the show as late arrivals, it “didn’t make sense” to have too many.

The Mirror has reached out to Celebs Go Dating for comment.

Following Christine’s exit announcement last week, a spokesperson for Celebs Go Dating said in a statement: “We have loved having Christine on the show and completely respect her feelings and decision to return home and have told her that the door is always open for her in the future at the agency.”

Shortly afterwards, dating expert Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn opened up about Christine’s departure, telling The Sun: “Her situation outside of the show is very complex so we will focus on helping her gain clarity about what she wants to do moving forward and build confidence in dating again.

As a dating expert, I admire Christine for putting her wellbeing first. Opening up to love on such a public platform isn’t easy, and it’s incredibly brave to recognise when the timing isn’t right.” She added the show would ‘welcome her back with open arms’ if she feels ready in the future.

It’s claimed that aspiring chef Brooklyn feels as though his family have chosen his younger brother, Romeo, over him amidst tensions between the two siblings.

Now, former Celebrity Big Brother star Liz Jones has commented on the situation, comparing it to Prince Harry and his strained relationships with the Royals following his legal blow last week. “Harry and Brooklyn’s trajectories are eerily similar and proof that privilege is a double-edged sword,” wrote Liz.

Writing for the Daily Mail, the broadcaster and columnist added: “Both have been famous since birth. Both have faced ridicule online and in print. Neither will surpass the achievements of their fathers – one the King of England and the other of English football. At 40, Harry seems rudderless. Fourteen years his junior, Brooklyn, too, has failed to find his feet, dabbling in modelling, photography and now cookery.

“It is fair to say they were floundering, until two glamorous and ambitious women swooped in from across the Atlantic to whisk them down the aisle.” Harry married for Suits actress Meghan Markle in 2018, with the pair instantly becoming a hit with royal fans across the world.

However, tensions started to rise amongst their inner-circle with Harry and Meghan sensationally claiming false stories had been leaked about them. This included an accusation that Princess Kate had been reduced to tears by the Duchess of Sussex, who later claimed it was the other way around.

In January 2020, the Sussexes made the unexpected announcement that they were stepping down as senior working royals and would instead, live a financially independent life away from the Crown in California. Harry later opened up in his memoir, Spare, about his rift with his older brother, Prince William of Wales, and accused his step-mother, Queen Camilla of selling stories.

But just last week, the Prince opened up about a possible reconciliation with his family, admitting he would love to have a relationship with them again. During an interview with the BBC after a court judgement upheld the decision to strip Harry of his round the clock police security, Harry explained he didn’t know how long his dad had left to live.

Speaking during the interview, harry said: “There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family. Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things but… there’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.”

Meanwhile, David and Victoria have allegedly told pals they are “done” with Nicola but would do anything to get their eldest child back. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the source went on to say: “Victoria and David would do anything to get their son back, but they are done with Nicola now.”
