Kirstie Allsopp makes cryptic comment about co-host Phil Spencer amid ‘feud’ rumours

Kirstie Allsopp and her co-host Phil Spencer are celebrating 25 years of the Channel 4 show this month – and they have put to bed any rumours of a feud once and for all

Kirstie Allsopp has admitted that she never socialises with her Location Location Location co-presenter Phil Spencer after he was notably missing from her wedding earlier this year.

The pair are celebrating the show’s 25th anniversary this year and have addressed the rumours of a feud between them. In a joint interview with The Telegraph they confirmed that they were “great friends”. Kirstie said: “We don’t socialise, because we work so much together.” Phil, however, affirmed: “But we’re very, very fond of each other. There’s no one else who’s been through this experience. I put Kirstie among the most important people in my life.”

Agreeing with Phil, Kirstie added: “Ditto. In the most significant parts of our lives, we’ve been there for each other. I think Phil was one of the first people I ever told I was pregnant.”

Earlier this year, Kirstie tied the knot with husband Ben Andersen in an impromptu ceremony. She told the Mail on Sunday in January: “On Thursday, Ben and I were married at The Grosvenor Chapel, where my parents and grandparents were married, and where we celebrated my father’s life in June.”

She explained that only a small group of close friends and family were in attendance as the event was kept closely under wraps. Wedding details like the flowers, catering, lighting, and the order of service were all done by people she had worked with over the years, and who kept it all secret. As the wedding was organised at the last minute “some beloved friends and family couldn’t be there”, she said, and this included Phil.

Previously, Kirstie had described herself as “happily unmarried”, saying in a column back in 2020 that she had “no problem being a middle-aged girlfriend with an even older middle-aged boyfriend”. She shares two children and two stepchildren with Ben, and the pair have been together since 2004.

To mark the 25th anniversary of Location Location Location, Channel 4 will dedicate a night of celebratory programming on Wednesday, May 14th. Over the years, Kirstie and Phil have helped nearly 750 people find their home, and viewed more than 1,800 properties.

“However many times I hear it I still can’t believe it has been 25 years, it is an enormous privilege to have the opportunity to travel around the whole country working with so many lovely house hunters and such brilliant crew,” Kirstie said.

Phil, meanwhile, said it was a “surreal” experience, and a “privilege” to be able to visit so much of the UK and support “hundreds of people in their home searches”. He added: “Although quite surreal, it’s also been fun looking back and seeing not only how we have changed through the 25 years, but also watching how our friendship developed and then strengthened across the years.

Baywatch star David Hasselhoff ‘living on borrowed time’ after ex-wife’s tragic death

David Hasselhoff was spotted being wheeled through Cancun airport in Mexico on Monday in a wheelchair following the tragic suicide of his ex-wife, Pamela Bach

David Hasselhoff is “living on borrowed time” according to a source said to be close to the Baywatch star. The 72-year-old, who shot to fame as Mitch Buchannon in the NBC show in 1989, was spotted on Monday in a wheelchair at Cancun airport in Mexico before limping through LAX in California alongside his wife, Hayley, 45.

Sporting a stiped shirt, black baseball cap and slacks, David gave a thumbs up as he could be seen leaning heavily on his Welsh wife, who he has been married for seven years as the couple flew home after holidaying in Mexico. The photos were taken weeks after David’s ex, Pamela Bach, tragically died by suicide, which reportedly left the Knight Rider star and his family “deeply saddened”.

Speaking about David following the tragedy, a source close to the dad-of-two told the Mail that the star’s health has been declining over the years, saying: “David is living on borrowed time and has lived hard.

“He had a life that people could only dream of but he also spent decades self-medicating through alcohol and other substances, which he does regret.”

The source added that while sober now, David’s health “has been declining for some time,” as a result of “decades of alcoholism”.

They also pointed out his age as well as his major operations, including having a defibrillator fitted to prevent a heart attack, concluding: “He knows that every surgery could be the last.”

However, when contacted by the Mirror, David’s rep told us he was “fine” and awaiting knee surgery, which is why he was in the wheelchair, saying: “He’s doing fine and actually they were returning from a great vacation in Cancun.

“He is scheduled to have knee surgery next week, hence the wheelchair.”

David’s battle with alcohol reportedly played a role in the breakdown of his marriage to Pamela, who tragically took her own life aged 61 in her Hollywood Hills home on March 5.

Paramedics were called to the mum-of-two’s home and discovered she had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. David, who shares two daughters with the actress, said through a spokesperson that his family was ‘deeply saddened’ by her passing.

Pamela previously claimed that alcohol played a central role in her split from David, claiming the “drink was taking over his life”.

Describing her husband as a man whose battle with alcohol had begun to take a devastating toll, she told the Mail: “To me, he was the man who fell over on the bedroom floor. “He has a disease, just like cancer. And just like cancer, it ate away at our family from the inside.”

Despite her deep love for David, Pamela confessed: “I always believed in happy Hollywood endings, but our story doesn’t have one.

The couple met on the set of David’s sci-fi series Knight Rider in 1986. At the time, he was married to his first wife and co-star Catherine Hickland, while Pamela was dating a comedian.

In 1989, David and Catherine divorced. He met Pamela again that year on the set of Baywatch, where she had bagged a small role. After nine months of dating, Pamela was pregnant – and they expedited their wedding before calling it quits in 2006.

BGT star Simon Cowell reveals struggle that led to him ditching showbiz party

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell opened up about his life on the How to Fail podcast, where he described him as ‘socially inept’ and said he struggles in some situations

TV personality Simon Cowell has spoken about struggling in certain situations. He discussed some of his experiences whilst he was a guest on a podcast and at one point recalled having to leave a showbiz party earlier than expected.

Simon, 65, revealed that he considers himself “socially inept” on the latest episode of the How To Fail podcast. He told host Elizabeth Day that he’s “very shy” and shared that he particularly finds small talk with strangers to be challenging.

Discussing finding it difficult to socialise at times, he said: “I am very shy. Like I can’t go to a pre-party. It’s my worst thing in the world making small talk with people I don’t know. If we have a common subject, [then] I’m pretty good.”

He said that it’s been “torture” in some circumstances though. He shared: “Years ago if I had to go to a party, particularly where you have to stand up, with a drink, with horrible food, and just talk to people you don’t know, it’s torture.”

Simon added that he’s found such social situations easier to deal with now that he’s well-known. He suggested that his career gives people something to talk about with him, like discussing his shows Britain’s Got Talent and the X Factor.

He explained on the podcast: “Once I was known by people, it was kind of good because it broke the ice with people you meet.” Simon said: “Instantly they know you. You’re talking about something I like, which is the shows or the artists, or whatever, so it kind of helped me with my shyness.”

Simon Cowell, in a black top and grey shorts, sat in a chair with a microphone in front of him whilst recording a podcast with Elizabeth Day, who is sat opposite him in a yellow top and jeans.
Simon Cowell (left) opened up to Elizabeth Day (right) about being ‘socially inept’ on the latest episode of her podcast How to Fail(Image: How To Fail with Elizabeth Day/Youtube)

Simon praised his fiancée Lauren Silverman as being “brilliant in these positions,” before adding: “I’m hopeless”. He then recalled once socialising at a party held for actor Joan Collins, with him saying that he found it “draining”.

He said on the episode, released today: “[She] had a birthday party and I’m like ‘how do I get out of it?’ and I said to Lauren ‘I’ll go but we have to time it’ … cause there’ll be a horrible, like I said, stand up pre-drinks. I can’t do that.”

Simon teased that he was concerned that Joan wouldn’t be impressed if he arrived late, so he hoped for “balance”. He said: “At the same time, y’know, Joan is a diva and if you’re late, she’ll kill me – so I’m trying to balance everything.”

Joan Collins sat in a pink jacket and black top at a table.

Simon said that at the time he thought himself and Lauren had “timed it well,” but then revealed: “We didn’t.” He told podcast host Elizabeth that he ended up talking to people for 45 minutes being the meal itself and was “dying inside”.

He said: “For 45 minutes I had to talk to people and I was dying inside. I was so stressed by the time that I got to the table, I left after about 30 minutes because I just can’t deal with it.” Simon then commented that he found it “draining”.

This Morning’s Nick Ferrari shares huge wedding update as Alison Hammond left fuming

LBC broadcaster Nick Ferrari has shared a huge update on his upcoming wedding after confirming that he proposed to his fiancée Clare Patterson, on holiday

A This Morning star has revealed they’re getting married very soon. Nick Ferrari, who is best known for his LBC programme shared the news on Friday’s episode of This Morning.

It comes just weeks after he opened up about his romance with his fiancée Clare Patterson, with whom he has been with for ten years. Nick, 66, appeared on the ITV midday magazine show alongside regular guest Ashley James as the pair spoke to hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond.

During a discussion over the size of a bridal party, Alison quipped: “I think you need at least ten bridesmaids right?” Ashley, 38, responded: “I don’t want to get married but I would say if you want to have one, none, 95, I feel like it’s your day!” Looking over to Nick, who has previously been married, she said: “And hopefully you only do it once, if you’re lucky, you get to do it two or three times.”

An intrigued Alison asked: “How many have you had Nick?” Nick went on to respond: “A couple… But you don’t know how many friends you’ve got until you announce you are getting married in the South of France as I am later this year.

“Suddenly, everyone is your friend!” Shocked by the news, Ashley joked: “I still haven’t made the cut,” which prompted Alison to reply: “I don’t think I’ve made the cut, I’m devastated!”

But Dermot was on hand to comfort the star as he joked it was “early doors” to be discussing the wedding. Alison said that if she attended, she’d have playfully shouted out: “It should have been me!” Nick first shared the happy news of his upcoming wedding on This Morning earlier this January.

He left his viewers with a bittersweet sentiment as he revealed: “Well I know a nation’s heart is broken but I have to impart the news that I am engaged to be wed to Clare.”

He gleefully announced his engagement, sharing: “I am engaged to be wed to Clare. We had the most idyllic Christmas and we’d been to Lapland and had a brilliant time.”

Continuing the romantic tale, Nick added: “Then we were down in the South of France and after ten years together, I said she could make an honest man out of me. I did it at our favourite restaurant in the South of France and I wanted her to play a role in designing her engagement ring.

“So we went along to a DIY store and kept getting down on one knee.” He said he got down on one knee and asked Clare to hand him a screwdriver instead as a joke. He later confirmed that he had bought a “decent ring” in a local village.

Nick, who shares two sons from his marriage to Sandra Phylis Conolly, has generally kept details about his soon-to-be bride, Clare, under wraps during interviews, though he once let slip in 2017 that she was a colleague.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX.

Lorraine host forced to pull out of show last minute – and is replaced by 90s kids’ TV icon

Lorraine viewers were left wondering where Ranvir Singh was this morning as an icon from children’s television stepped in to fill her shoes at the last minute

Lorraine viewers had a surprise this morning after a popular host failed to appear on the show, and was replaced by a children’s television icon.

Ranvir Singh, who regularly hosts the Friday show, was missing from today’s episode as presenter Andi Peters took her place. Andi, 54, told viewers that Ranvir had been forced to pull out due to health reasons. Lorraine Kelly herself has been missing from her show this week as she recovers from surgery.

He explained: “Just want to say get well soon to Ranvir who can’t be here today. That’s why they have drafted in a man with a bright orange shirt this morning. Get well soon Ranvir, we send you all of our love.”

Andi became a staple of children’s TV after first appearing on CBBC’s The Broom Cupboard in 1989, after being poached from ITV. His role, alongside a puppet called Edd the Duck, was to introduce shows and fill in the gaps between programming.

He later revealed to The Telegraph that as a The Broom Cupboard presenter, succeeding Phillip Schofield and Andy Crane, he did everything himself, even switching on the lights. Andi said: “What The Broom Cupboard did was bring an intimacy between the presenter and the viewer. It was one camera, no bells and whistles, no graphics, just the presenter talking to the audience at home.”

In more recent years, he has narrated the ITV2 series The Big Reunion and appeared on the ITV daytime show Show Me the Telly.

He has also hosted competitions on Good Morning Britain, Ejector Seat, and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Andi has also appeared as a contestant on Dancing on Ice and Celebrity MasterChef, during which he finished as runner-up.

Earlier this week, Lorraine revealed that she would be taking time off the show due to a surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes. She shared the news on Instagram but assured fans that the procedure was “purely preventative”.

It was to be done by keyhole surgery, she explained, adding: “I just wanted to let you know I’m having a wee procedure today.

“I’ve not been feeling all that well for a little while, so I had some scans and tests, and I have to have my ovaries and my tubes taken out.”

Following the operation, Lorraine shared a snap of her smiling, surrounded by healthcare workers.

She wrote: “Huge thanks to these kind, caring, gorgeous professionals who took care of me at @heatherwoodhospital – back home now and following doctors orders to rest up.”

While Lorraine has been out of action, the show has been hosted by a range of presenters, including Christine Lampard, Ranvir, and Sian Welby.

Huge ITV show Doc Martin is getting a US remake and fans are overjoyed – but it won’t be Martin Clunes in the leading role

Long-running ITV drama Doc Martin is getting a US remake – but it won’t be Martin Clunes in the main role. Fox has announced an adaptation of the show, titled Best Medicine, starring Josh Charles.

Josh will star as a successful surgeon who abruptly leave his post in Boston to become a general practitioner in the East Coast fishing village where he spent summers as a kid.

Fans won’t have to wait long either, as it’s scheduled to premiere during the 2025-26 season, and they’re overjoyed at the announcement.

One wrote: “I’m addicted to the British version and looking forward to our US version,” while a second said: “Love this guy! Follow every thing he does!”

    Josh Charles

Speaking on the adaptation, Fox Television Network president Michael Thorn said: “The story of Doc Martin has resonated worldwide with its humanity, originality, and humour, and with Best Medicine coming to Fox, that eccentricity gets a small-town America spin, complete with idyllic charm and absurdity.

“Liz, Mark, Philippa, Ben, and Rodney have done a terrific job adapting this signature character for the Fox audience, especially in casting the terrifically talented Josh Charles as our lead.”

Doc Martin ran for ten series from 2007 to 2022. The long-running drama came to an end during the Christmas episode three years ago as Martin Clunes starred as TV’s grumpiest medic GP Martin Ellingham for the final time.

The show followed Martin’s character Dr Martin Ellingham on his trials and tribulations as he leaves his practice in London to become a become general practitioner in the sleepy fishing village of Portwenn.

Speaking ahead of the tenth and final season, Clunes and producer Philippa Braithwaite said in a statement: When we launched the series in 2004 we could never have imagined how much our loyal viewers would take to the grumpy Doc like they have.

“The series has avid fans both in the UK and throughout the world and we are thrilled that Doc Martin has topped the ratings every time. However, after sixteen years we now feel that the time has come to say goodbye to Portwenn. We will be making the tenth and final series in 2021 and we are very much looking forward to returning to Cornwall to film it.”

Fans were left gutted when the show came to an end, but as Martin told the Loose Women, “all good things must come to an end.”

I’m sure there are lots of people who aren’t fans of the show who think it’s terribly repetitive anyway, but we’re at huge pains not to repeat ourselves. I just think we’ve sort of done everything. I mean, it would be so great to just sort of carry on, but I don’t think we can keep it as good,” he continued.

However, fans are still hopeful, as the door was left open for a return. Martin recently addressed the chances of a return on Good Morning Britain. When asked if we’d see the show back on screens, he responded: “I’m almost at the age where a GP has to retire, you see. Eighteen years of private medicine!”

Loose Women star Ruth Langsford has opened up on her relationship with son Jack and how it’s changed over the years as she admits he ‘hates’ going shopping with her

    Ruth Langsford

Ruth Langsford admits “I just can’t leave it” as she recalled an awkward moment while out shopping with her son Jack Holmes.

Loose Women panelist Ruth, 65, shares 23-year-old Jack with her ex-husband Eamonn Holmes. The famous couple however split in 2024, calling time on their 14-year marriage.

During an appearance on the There I’ve Said It podcast, Ruth admits her family “hate” going to the shops or restaurants with her. This, she admits, is because she gets frustrated at slow or poor service, reports Devon Live.

Ruth said: “This is why my family hates shopping or going to restaurants with me. I can’t leave it, so I was in a very well known store and saw this really nice pair of trousers. It was quite a while ago so Jack was a teenager, and I saw this really nice pair of trousers and I wanted them in black, they were in blue or something.

Recounting her encounter with a shop assistant, she said, “I saw a member of staff, if you can find one, and then I go, ‘Hi, excuse me’, I was very polite, ‘Do you do these trousers in black? There’s navy there but have they got them in black’.

“He just looked and he went, ‘No’, so I went ‘Oh, okay’. Walking around the store, I found them in black. Can I leave it? No I can’t.”

Highlighting her determination, Ruth added, “Jack’s going, ‘Mum, leave it’, and I went, ‘No, I’m going to search the store for him’, it wasn’t an easy find, I got the black ones and I was like, ‘Where is he? Where is he?’”

“I found him and I went, ‘Hi’, and I’m really sarcastic, ‘So it’s me again, just to let you know, you do do these trousers in black, and they’re just there’. They don’t care.

“He went, ‘alright’ and I went, ‘Just in case anyone asks you, they’re just here’. I can’t leave it.”

Ruth recently confessed to experiencing a “sudden shift” in the dynamics with her son. She recounted the turning point when she noticed that her status as the “fun mum” had expired.

Explaining the transition, she said: “You’ll find this, when they are little, they adore you, they love you, they want to be around you all the time.”

Always ready for a laugh, Ruth shared one of the jokes she used to share with Jack: “You know like Rizzle Kicks? I’d come in and I’d go, ‘Ah, I love Twizzle Sticks, they’re great’.”

She fondly remembered how Jack would be amused by her antics at the supermarket: “Jack thought I was hilarious right, and then we’d be in the supermarket and I would dance and he thought I was hilarious.”

Yet, suddenly, the mood shifted: “And then suddenly, I can’t remember what age, I was in the supermarket, it came on and I was like, ‘Twizzle Sticks, Jack!’”.

The way he responded marked a new phase: “He was literally like [squirming] ‘Mum!’ and then it suddenly happens and it’s like, oh he doesn’t find me amusing anymore and if you talk about sex, like no!”.

Despite her public persona, Ruth is recognised for maintaining her son’s privacy, seldom posting pictures of him on her social media accounts. Ruth frequently offers glimpses into her family life during her appearances on ITV’s Loose Women and in media interviews.

Katie Price revealed the real reason she hated doing Loose Women as she confessed she will ‘never do it again’. The former glamour model, 46, was a regular on the ITV daytime show between 2015 and 2018, but Katie said it was actually a tough time for her and admitted she ‘didn’t like’ being on it.

The Mucky Mansion star took part in a Q&A session at The University of Cambridge’s Student Union, where she revealed she ‘hid’ her personal issues while appearing on the programme. She said: “I hated doing that show. The interesting thing about Loose Women, I presented on it for two years, believe it or not, and it was around the start and during my breakdown and no one knew.

    Katie Price

“I hid it very well on there. The only thing I didn’t like about Loose Women was, you had these in-ears and you’re told when you can speak, when you can’t, or if someone is talking, ‘Kate, don’t interrupt, Kate don’t say this, Kate don’t say that’, so it’s quite hard.”

The star said everything was ‘very different’ behind the scenes of daytime television and insisted she would ‘never, ever do it again’.

However, she said she did have fun and ‘got to meet a lot of people’.

“I wasn’t really well, but no one really knew, it was the start of my breakdown, horrible days,” Katie explained. “But I liked the women I did it with, we had fun, but yeah, I wouldn’t do that show again.

“Maybe I should have my own presenting show, that’s something I haven’t done, but it would have to be late night because there’s no filter with me.”

Katie has been open about her mental health struggles and previously revealed she suffered a mental breakdown after being robbed at gunpoint and sexually assaulted in South Africa in 2018 as well as being arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crashing her car.

In her autobiography, she explained how she tried to suppress everything that happened in South Africa but it eventually got too much for her and she attempted to take her own life and ended up being treated for PTSD in the Priory.

She wrote in her book: “My memory is a bit fuzzy with it all, if I’m honest. It happened so quickly, but at the time it seemed like it went on for ever. It was surreal. I kept thinking, ‘Is this happening? Is this actually happening? Am I dreaming?’

“I could make out two men, who I now know to be hijackers, trying to get into the other car, where the film crew were, while the rest of them were around our car.”

Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas says semi-finalist has ‘caught my heart’

Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas has opened up about this year’s competition.

Britain’s Got Talent sensation Sydnie Christmas has opened up about a young musician who has tugged at her heartstrings in this year’s contest.

The 29-year-old songstress, who clinched the BGT title in 2024, graced ITV’s Loose Women with her presence to chat about her career and last year’s triumphant win on the talent show.

Discussing the current crop of contestants, Sydnie singled out one act that particularly resonated with her.

Speaking to the Loose Women hosts, she revealed: “There’s a young little boy that has caught my heart who plays a guitar and he plays that guitar like that guitar was his life and that’s exactly how I feel singing.”

She continued, praising the youngster: “Olly, he’s caught me, he’s got star quality.” Before confessing: “That little boy caught my heart.”

Olly, an 11-year-old from Wrexham, has been riding a wave of success since his Britain’s Got Talent live semi-final performance last week, which snagged him a second golden buzzer, reports Belfast Live.

Now in the running for a spot at the Royal Variety show and a hefty £250,000 prize, Olly spoke with The Leader about his astonishment at the golden buzzer victory, saying: “I still can’t believe it.”

He humbly added: “Every act in my semi final was brilliant so for Simon to pick me for his Golden Buzzer was amazing.”

Olly also shared his performance strategy, saying: “I practiced three things: the audience at home by looking into the camera, the judges and finally the crowd in the theatre.

Romeo Beckham’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, took a quick flight out of the UK to enjoy the beaches of Ibiza amid the Beckham family feud. The entire family have been hitting headlines in recent weeks over concerns there’s an ongoing feud between Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz, and the rest of the family.

Not only did Brooklyn and Nicola fail to publicly acknowledge Victoria Beckham’s 51st birthday last month, they also snubbed David’s milestone 50th birthday celebrations last week, which saw them enjoy family time in the Cotswolds before flying to Paris for wine and dinner, then returning to London for an A-list bash.

The former footballer, who turned 50, was joined by his youngest children Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13 and their partners Jackie Apostel, 29, and Kim Turnbull, 25 - with eldest son Brooklyn, 26, notably absent

According to sources, the couple opted not to attend the birthday bash in London earlier this month after Brooklyn discovered his brother Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, who Brooklyn is thought to have been close to, was going to be at the event. Sources close to the Beckhams have insisted that there has never been a relationship between Brooklyn and Kim.

However, other insiders claim Brooklyn felt his family “chose” Romeo’s needs over his.

The couple reportedly flew to London for the Notting Hill party but failed to show up, leaving David “heartbroken”. Kim, 24, was there as the girlfriend of Romeo, 22, and is said to be the reason behind the brothers’ no longer being on speaking terms.

When they were in their late teens, Kim formed a close bond with Brooklyn and Madonna’s son Rocco Ritchie, whom she befriended soon after he moved to London.

Brooklyn and Kim spent a lot of time together and were even snapped heading for lunch in 2016, with many sources claiming that they were dating. In 2017 – the year after she was rumoured to be linked to Brooklyn – Kim then started dating Rocco, but Brooklyn didn’t end the friendship.

However, the family remains firm in dispelling rumours that Brooklyn ever dated Kim. Amid the family drama that reportedly started because of Romeo’s relationship with Kim, the DJ ignored the chaos and jetted to Ibiza for some R&R after David’s huge celebrations.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kim shared a video of the sea and scenery from the plane as she tagged the location. She captioned the post: “Back on the island for something exciting,” before adding a shushing emoji.

She later shared a snap taken o the balcony as she rocked a cropped black cardigan and a matching top, which she layered with a blazer. She paired the look with jeans and a necklace.

The DJ also posted a short video of her doing what she does best, DJing, before adding a close-up snap of the decks she was using.

Meanwhile, Romeo shared some snaps from a Paris Saint-Germain football match as he posed with MMA fighter Usman Nurmagomedov.

He also posted pictures of the refrigerated juice aisle in a supermarket before sharing a snap of a bike ride he enjoyed with one of his friends.
