Katie Price proudly paid tribute to her eldest daughter Princess in celebration of her 18th birthday. The 47 year old mum of five took to Instagram and poured her heart out to Princess who she described as the “most amazing daughter.”

Princess is the daughter of Katie and Peter Andre and the former couple, who split in 2009 after four years of marriage, also have a son named Junior.

In her post, Princess is seen lying on her side in a black embellished long sleeve dress. In the picture there were also balloons in the background and an impressive looking cake with the number 18 perched on top.

Katie wrote: “Happy birthday to the most amazing daughter @princess_andre now your 18 so much more adventures we can do.”

She added: “I love you baby girl always and forever.” And in a previous post Katie posted a picture of Princess who is knelt down in the same dress.

But this time the 18 year old aspiring singer is seen holding the cake in one hand while seemingly tasting it.

And in that post, Katie wrote: “My whole world, My everything, Happy birthday to my eldest daughter Princess. My mini me. I love you.”

She accompanied the post with a pink heart emoji.

But this comes days after she made an awkward blunder as she posted a heartfelt message two days before Princess’ birthday.

The former glamour model posted her tribute on Friday June 27 but Princess was not born until June 29.

After noticing her mistake, Katie quickly deleted it. But before she managed to remove it, fans saw that she had penned: “Happy 18th birthday to the most amazing daughter and my best friend @princess_andre I love you so much.”

Instead, she quickly replaced the post with a countdown one in a desperate bid to claw back from her public mistake.

She then said: “2 days until Princess turns 18 can’t believe it xx.”

As a birthday present to herself, Princess bought a top of the range Audi with the money she earned and help from her dad Peter.

Speaking about how she planned to celebrate her birthday in an exclusive chat with the Mirror, she told us: “To be honest, I’m not fussed on doing a big thing.”

She added: “I’ll be very happy with a quiet dinner and maybe going somewhere after, so long as it’s memorable and the people I love – my family and friends – are with me. I’ve left it in my dad and Emily’s hands. It’s going to be a surprise.”

Bob Geldof tells why Live Aid’s rock ‘n’ roll romance wouldn’t work 40 years on

The Boomtown Rats singer who fund-raised millions to help the Ethiopian famine says that rock ‘n’ roll has lost its romance

As Live Aid celebrates its 40th anniversary, Sir Bob Geldof has told how it wouldn’t work as a fund-raiser today because rock’n’roll no longer has the currency it did in the 1980s.

And the Boomtown Rats star, who was knighted for his 1985 effort to raise money for starving victims of the Ethiopian famine, also claimed there was “no such thing” as white saviour complex, and dismissed criticism that the event, which raised £350m in today’s money, should have had more black British artists performing.

“Rock’n’roll was so powerful it was beyond language,” he explained. “When Little Richard said ‘a wop bop a loo bop, a wop bam boo’ we all knew what he meant and by 1985 the entire world used the common language of rock ’n’ roll.

“It won’t happen again because this sort of thing isn’t romantic any more, it’s not a thing,” he said. “Rock’n’roll is the most powerful art there has ever been – but it has ceased to be the spine of our culture, it was of the moment and could transmit an idea to the game-changing part of the population, but I’m not sure that exists now.

“The Six O’Clock News was a communal event – the news now is broken up, the algorithm is an echo-chamber of your own prejudices. It’s sh*t and its dangerous but it can be used brilliantly.”

Speaking after a BAFTA screening of a new BBC documentary to celebrate Live Aid’s milestone anniversary, Sir Bob said it was up to others now to come up with new “mad and fun” ideas, but added: “Taylor Swift is a phenomenon. You could do one just with the women. That would be very effective.”

Sir Bob, 73, said that complaints about “white saviour complex” infuriated him, claiming it was a “cultural artefact” that didn’t exist. “There isn’t such a thing,” he told BBC journalist Maryam Moshiri, who interviewed him at the event. “You can f*** off! It’s nonsense. To pay lip service to this tripe is belittling.

“It was about 32 million people dying, live on TV, in a world of surplus food. Millions of people are alive today because us lot watched a f***ing pop concert. That’s nuts. It’s disgraceful.”

He said that critics, including a journalist from The Voice who appears in the three-part series, were wrong to say there should have been more black British artists involved. “It wasn’t about black representation, it was about getting the artists who sold the most records so we could raise the most money,” he insisted. “It was about stopping people from dying.

“That man from The Voice – name the band we should have had? Imagination and Aswad? They weren’t huge. They sold 80,000 records, so do I take them, or the ones that sold 20million? These bands were not big enough.”

Sir Bob also revealed that watching Michael Buerk’s famous BBC news report, shot by cameraman Mohamed Amin, still makes him emotional. “If I see that footage again, it makes me cry – it still bothers me a lot. It’s won endless awards – it goes to, particularly in this day and age, reporting the truth, showing it how it is.

“I remember Michael’s report verbatim simply because the words were so well chosen. And Mo Amin’s pitiless, cyclops eye. You could tell Michael’s rage. He was being the objective reporter but his shame at what he was having to show us, that’s why the entire country reacted as I did.”

CREDIT LINE:BBC/Brook Lapping/Band Aid TrusThe I Don’t Like Mondays singer said that plenty of people needed that sort of help today, but there was now embarrassment around the words aid and charity. “I’m not embarrassed in the least by the word “charity”, but we can’t say it any more, we have to put into inverted commas now.”

He said it was hard “not to see hurt, not to know, right now, 2.5million children in Sudan are not getting the American food that they were getting in February – and not react.”

Blaming US policy, he branded Elon Musk, President Trump and Vice President Vance a “confederacy of dunces” for freezing all the country’s humanitarian aid, with Musk describing it as putting USAid “In the wood chipper” at the start of the year.

    Bob Geldof

Dad-of-four Bob said:”Seriously? The strongest nation on earth, the most powerful man on the planet and the richest individual on the planet cackle over feeding aid to the weakest, most vulnerable people in the world into the wood chipper. There is something seriously f***ed about that.”

He said that reports from reputable sources claim that a minimum of 300,000 people had died as a direct result of that policy. “And I would argue that it’s conceivably ten times that. In the UK, we need to re-arm right now and so does the rest of Europe. We’re being invaded by a thug and he needs to be stopped.”

With the wars in Ukraine and Palestine also ongoing, Bob feels that people didn’t now have the “emotional bandwidth” to cope with all the devastation in the world. “It’s just too easy to go ‘f*** you’. If we can use this anniversary then perhaps there’s a glimmer, a slight chance, that we can put back the argument that it is really not in our interest to abandon the marginalised.”

    Live Aid
Live Aid, which lasted 16 hours, was an enormous success when it came to making

He said he found it hard to watch the BBC documentary, quipping: “I hate the stupid f***ing things I say, I hate looking at myself” and he also moaning that he wasn’t keen on all the music choices the programme-makers had made, which included Status Quo, U2, Phil Collins, Paul McCartney and Queen.

“If you had Pete Townshend talking about The Who, I’d have had The Who on,” he said. “And I would have had Bob Dylan’s disastrous performance.”

Kerry Katona shows true colours in relationship with new Celebs Go Dating boyfriend

Kerry Katona has been hitting headlines after her rumoured boyfriend, Paolo Margaglione’s ex spoke about their relationship – but a source says it’s like ‘water off a duck’s back’ to her

Kerry Katona has come under fire after her hunky new partner’s ex accused her of stealing her man. Mum-of-five Kerry has been in a love bubble with personal trainer Paolo Margaglione, 33, after meeting him on Celebs Go Dating in May. But Paolo’s ex, Jessica Smith, 25, claims she was already in a relationship with the dad-of-two – and completely unaware he was filming the dating show, as OK! reports.

“He lied to me the entire time we were together. It was horrendous,” said Jessica, who is a warehouse manager from Holmfirth, Yorkshire. I do not believe that he has one single feeling for Kerry. He only cares about fame and he’ll be happy he’s now being put out there.”

Paolo Margaglione with top off in gym
Paolo’s ex Jessica claimed he was only with Kerry ‘for the fame’ (Image: Instagram)

Devastated Jessica spoke out after seeing snaps of Kerry, 44, and Paolo kissing outside a London hotel. She claims he “repeatedly lied” about taking part in the show – which also stars Love Island’s Olivia Hawkins and The Chase’s Mark Labbett – and that he told her he was travelling to London for business meetings when he was in fact filming scenes with smitten Kerry.

But a source close to the former Atomic Kitten star, who is keeping tight-lipped over the furore, has said that after experiencing her fair share of romantic betrayals herself, she would never knowingly make a move on another woman’s man.

“She’s ben telling people, ‘I’m not a man-stealer’ and it’s not something nice to be accused of, but she knows her truth and won’t let it ruin things,” the source said. “Kerry isn’t going to let anyone rain on her parade.”

Jess went on to claim that Paolo, who she started dating after he contacted her on Instagram, continued to send her loved-up messages while he was filming the E4 reality show, even telling her he wanted to marry her.

    kerry Katona in denim
Loved-up Kerry is looking better than ever lately(Image: kerrykatona7/Instagram)

But Paolo, who has two daughters from a previous relationship, denies any wrongdoing. “I was never in a relationship with Jess,” he said. “We only met up around five times. I was honest with her that I had been offered to go on a dating show and if it were to come to fruition, I would take the opportunity.”

He continued, “I made it clear to Jess that we had to stop talking and seeing each other as I had been offered to go on the show. I have nothing bad to say about Jess – she’s a great girl.”

Kerry’s rumoured new romance comes eight months after her shock split from her former fiancé Ryan Mahoney, who she dated for six years. The pair met online and lived together in Cheshire, with personal trainer Ryan proposing to Kerry in 2020.

The relationship broke down last November and Kerry later revealed they had parted over a “breach of trust”. She said at the time, “We are no longer together and it’s been a really tough week. I never in a million years thought this would happen.”

Paolo Mangaglione in a tux in mirror selfie
Paolo denies any wrongdoing when it comes to Jessica, who he dated briefly(Image: Instagram)

Three-times-married Kerry wed her first husband, Westlife star Brian McFadden, in 2002 and they have two daughters, Molly, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22. She went on to marry taxi driver Mark Croft, welcoming daughter Heidi, 18, and son Max, 17, before the relationship crumbled after three years together.

In 2014, she tied the knot with George Kay, the father of her youngest daughter Dylan-Jorge, 11. Tragically, former rugby league player George died in 2019 following a drug overdose.

Celebrity Big Brother star Kerry is certainly no stranger to drama when it comes to her love life, but the sourcesays she has “learnt the hard way” when it comes to fame-hungry partners and won’t be fooled again.

“She’s felt that betrayal,” the source said. “But she’s got a smart head on her shoulders and she’s totally happy and comfortable with Paolo.

“She has never felt or looked better, and a hunky man was really the only thing missing from her life. She’s making good money and everything is on her terms. She’s not being controlled or led by anyone.”

Coronation Street’s latest episode saw concern over Gary Windass’ disappearing act from his loved ones, amid spoilers confirming where he is and teasing what happened on the ITV soap

The latest episode of Coronation Street saw concern for missing Gary Windass, with fans and characters left asking where he was and what had happened to him.

New spoilers have shed light on the details, with them giving away his exact location. While we still don’t know fully what has led him there, spoilers have hinted at what happened to him ahead of scenes airing.

Recently we saw Gary flee the street to stay with his mother Anna Windass, after his marriage to Maria Connor hit the rocks. A shocking blackmail storyline with Lou Michaelis left Gary with something to hide, with him soon visiting Anna.

He was due back ages ago though, leaving Maria annoyed and concerned when he failed to show. Spoilers confirmed that Maria would be left unsure what had happened to him, trying to make contact to figure out where he was.

With Maria’s son Liam Connor concerned about his stepfather, Wednesday’s episode showed him panicked over what was going on. He also feared the couple were splitting up, and maybe that was why Gary had failed to return home.

Maria did her best to reassure him, suggesting Gary may have gotten mixed up with his dates and would be home soon. With her clearly worried herself, she claimed there was nothing to worry about before leaving Gary a voicemail, wanting answers.

Spoilers for Friday’s episode have revealed she does finally get a message seemingly from Gary, who tells her he has been with a mate. He claims he’s coming home soon leaving her relieved.

But a twist in spoilers for next week’s episodes have hinted at a dark twist. In the spoilers, Gary’s whereabouts are finally revealed and it’s not good news.

Not only do the spoilers give a specific location, but the cryptic teasers also hint something bad has happened to him. Ahead of the full details being revealed, we can confirm that next week’s episodes reveal Gary is unconscious in hospital.

As confusion mounts over his whereabouts and him not coming home, it seems Maria loses contact with him. Viewers will then see Gary in a hospital bed, as we finally see him after weeks offscreen.

It seems his life could be on the line in a deadly twist, as the character takes a turn for the worse. As he deteriorates, a nurse rushes over to him and tries to help him.

But can Gary be saved or is a shocking death about to be announced? It’s clear something very bad has happened to Gary in his absence, while spoilers and images remain coy over what went down.

Whether it was a medical issue or someone has put him in hospital remains to be seen, but fans will find out very soon. As for Gary’s fate and whether anyone will find out where he is next week, that’s another thing fans will have to keep an eye out for.

Oti Mabuse breaks down in tears on Loose Women panel after emotional family revelation

Oti Mabuse was seen getting emotional on the Loose Women panel earlier today, as she reminisced on her time on the TV show DNA journey with her sister Motsi

Oti Mabuse broke down in tears on today’s episode of Loose Women as she spoke about her emotional journey on the show, DNA Journey.

During the episode of the ITV show, which aired in 2023, Oti and Motsi Mabuse explored their family history in South Africa, in which they discovered a WWII connection.

Their grandfather, Paulus Mabuse, fought for the British in the Native Military Corps during the war. During the ITV daytime show, Oti revisited a clip of herself and her sister Motsi when they found out, which moved her to tears.

In the clip, Oti and Motsi were seen breaking down in tears when they were given medals their grandfather received for his work in the armed forces.

    Oti
Oti Mabuse broke down in tears as she reminisced about her time on ITV’s DNA Journey

‘It’s a good thing, it’s an amazing thing. Please don’t think we’re sad. One of the missing pieces that we’ve missed and needed to hear for so long, it’s a beautiful thing. We’re so grateful. These are tears of, “Oh my God!”‘

The pair said they had “no idea” that there were war medals in their family, as they learnt their grandfather fought for the British in World War II. Oti revealed that her grandfather, along with many others were promised land. However, they were relocated and left in the middle of nowhere.

Oti said it made her feel “horrendous” as she said both her and Motsi cried their make-up off. However, she said they felt liberated knowing where they come from. “Now I know that I’m a granddaughter of a soldier,” she told the panel, before the clip was played.

As they cut back to the studio after the clip was played, Oti wiped away he tears as she said: “It’s moving.

“Also, I think that we tried to look for something, we didn’t wait for the show to come to us. We also asked our parents, and you can see the generational trauma that it causes.

    Oti and Motsi

“My dad didn’t speak to his dad and so he didn’t know. All that they knew is maybe they drank, they went to the mine, and then they died. He didn’t know that his life served a purpose and he helped save the world.

“We’re here because of people like our grandad, and it means the world to us.”

Speaking on her experience on Loose Women, Oti said it was the “best show” she’d ever done. “It gave me something personally back. Our history in South Africa is really rough. Specifically with my family it was wiped out, so we had no way of getting any information.”

Tonight, Sam Thompson and Marvin Humes will be taking part in the ITV show to discover their family history. In the episode, the duo start off in Jamaica. There, JLS star Marvin finds out that his Great Grandma Blanche was not actually married to his Great Grandfather David James.

They had four children, but immediately after the fourth, Marvin’s Grandma Ruby, was born in 1930, David James left.

Meanwhile, Sam flies into a panic when he is told he has an ancestor who spent time in Jamaica. “It doesn’t sounds good, don’t say it..” he says. However, he is relieved to learn there is no slavery connection.

It comes after Sam admits to Marvin that he knew “nothing” about his family history before taking part in the show.

  • JESS BOULTON: ‘No wonder Lorraine Kelly’s tearing hair out – I’d do same over ITV decision’

JESS BOULTON: ‘No wonder Lorraine Kelly’s tearing hair out – I’d do same over ITV decision’

Lorraine Kelly’s hair mares, Glastonbury snubs, a new Royal blow for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex – Daily Mirror columnist Jessica Boulton brings you Jess Saying, her weekly wry rundown of the past seven salacious days in showbiz

Between billionaire weddings, Scary hen parties and more drama offscreen than on at ITV, it’s been a busy old week in Showbizland. Poor Lorraine Kelly has been been tearing her hair out – literally. Plans are in motion for a certain movie crossover and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are the literal butt of jokes on the Royal Family’s Instagram account.

This weekend’s looking just as busy. The lucky (rich and organised) fans at Glasto may be baking in the heat but they are in for a giant aural treat – with the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, The Libertines, Raye and Rod Stewart all playing over the next two days. Okay, the latter’s not my cup of tea, but what do I know? I’m still in disbelief Alanis Morissette was only ranked third , yes, THIRD, on the bill on Friday, behind headliners the 1975 and Biffy Clyro. That must have been a bitter (jagged little) pill for her to swallow.

For those not waking up in a sweltering tent, regretting their life choices for not packing Factor 50, there’s some even cooler entertainment to be had this weekend – in the delightful air con surroundings of your local cinema. For, one of the BEST films of the past 30 years is back on the big screen this weekend. And clue – it’s NOT Jurassic World: Rebirth.

What is it? Well, duh, it’s the one teen movie so truly close to perfect it should be, like, taught in schools, obviously. More on that below….. but first let’s take two minutes to appreciate some of the quirky, ironic and often whimsical moments of the past showbiz week…..

    Motor-mad Monday

Talk about bang for your buck. Movie fans in Leicester Square got two (albeit slightly-ageing) A-list hunks for the price of one on Monday night. For Brad Pittmay have expected to be the biggest name at the London premiere of his racing driver epic F1. But then his old pal – and Interview With a Vampire co-star – Tom Cruise decided to make a pit, or rather a Pitt , stop. The surprise addition of Cruise came with an even bigger shock.

Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt at the London premiere of F1. Are they one track to reunite for a sequel?

    Image:

F1 and Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski has revealed his dream pitch for the racing film’s sequel: F1’s Sonny Hayes coming face to face with old foe Cole Trickle – aka Tom’s character from 1990’s racing driver movie Days of Thunder. “It’d be Cole Trickle, who was [Cruise’s] Days of Thunder character, [and] we find out that he and [Brad Pitt’s] Sonny Hayes have a past,” Kosinski says. “They were rivals at some point, maybe crossed paths…” Interesting. But what inspired this?

Kosinski says: “I heard about this epic go-kart battle on Interview With a Vampire that Brad and Tom had, and who wouldn’t pay to see those two go head-to-head on the track?” You make a valid point, Joe. Now, throw in Chris Hemsworth as James Hunt in 2013’s Rush and you’ll be guaranteed pole position at the box office.

    Teetotal Tuesday

Thanks to her MBE, Mel B will be following in Princess Diana’s footsteps when she weds fiance Rory McPhee at St Paul’s Cathedral next month. And while sources close to Mel have assured it will be a very sophisticated affair, I genuinely hope she’s going full out Scary Spice – leopard-print bridesmaid dresses and the works.

But this week it was the details of her hen do not her nuptials making headlines. For Scary recently took 35 pals to Tunisia. As the country is famously dry, they spent most of their time partying in their private mega-villa, often finishing at 4am. “It was an absolute riot from start to finish,” one source was quoted as telling reporters this week.

Fortunately it didn’t turn into a literal one. For there was one bar serving booze in the apartment block next door – but it only served MEN. So I wonder what would’ve happened if Mel ‘Girl Power’ B had popped in by accident? I imagine it would indeed have been a Scary encounter. But not for her. For them….

    Whoopsie Wednesday

Here’s a shot to cast a dark cloud over sunny Montecito. For George Clooney and wife Amal – one-time wedding guests for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – this week made it quite clear which side of the royal rift they were on. Spoiler alert: I don’t think it’s Haz and Meg’s.

    Image:
Stefan Rousseau/PA Wire)Yes, the pair appear to be firmly Team Charles as they were snapped enjoying quite the charming chit chat with our monarch at a King’s Trust reception on Wednesday. And in case there’s any doubt about their feelings…..there’s even an award for female achievers presented in Amal’s name. (This year’s recipient was Alice, a 19-year-old Kenyan woman who launched a bead-making business, which saved her from being a child bride when her father died.)

Don’t worry Haz, I’m sure it isn’t personal. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time George Clooney’s switched allegiances – as a certain former President Biden may well recall….

    Twerky Thursday

…Sadly, for H&M, the Clooneys weren’t the only ones at the event who may have risked their wrath. Cheeky Radio One DJ Jamie Laing, whose great-great-grandfather invented McVitie’s Digestives, was also at the same event – and “appeared” to take a swipe at Meg’s now infamous hospital twerking video.

How? Well in quite a spectacular way. He filmed his own version with pregnant wife Sophie Habboo… on the staircase of Buckingham Palace itself… and then posted it to his millions of followers on Instagram, going viral on Thursday.

I can’t imagine The Sussexes loved being the butt of a former reality star’s joke. But what must really take the, um, biscuit, is how the Royal Family reacted. For this was their exact response from the official, yes the official, Instagram account: “We see you, Side Eye emoji, Winky Face emoji.”

Ummmm. It’s not exactly the vigorous telling off one would expect for flouting royal protocol. In fact, I’d go as far as to say it’s halfway to encouragement. So why was the official Instagram account for the Royals embroiling itself in social media tit for tat and frippery?

I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised that the old emphasis on etiquette, decorum, dress code and a stiff upper lip is becoming more relaxed. The gloves came off with Megxit, after all. However, the royals foray into Instagram quippery did make me wonder: What if social media had been around for some of the infamous Royal moments of the past?

How would Edward VIII have announced his abdication on X? An “I’m out” meme from Dragons’ Den, perhaps? Alongside the hashtags: #TheGreatResignation, #YouDoYou?Would Henry VIII be for ever trawling the ’gram looking for a new wifey, sliding into the DMs of every 1500s’ hottie flashing a bit of ankle? You can picture his opening gambit: “S’up? Ur (Fire Emoji). Wannabe my (Crown Emoji)? Send nudes. #NoFilter, #Nohorsefaces #NoPsychos (Aubergine Emoji)”

Or maybe Spain would try to scare us with a photo of their giant 1588 Armada, captioned: “Off to Blighty! #ladsontour #VacayVibes”. Only for Elizabeth I to pop up in the comments with a cluster of emojis: Yawn Face, Eye Roll and every passive aggressive’s favourite: Painting Nails – the universal symbol for “Me? Bothered? As If!”?

    Big Day Friday

Excitement over the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez has been swamping showbizland this week. The Amazon founder has been having a three-day Venice extravaganza, with everything a showbiz wedding needs: A $20million budget, Elton John as the wedding band, a whole raft of Kardashians and a (possibly) newly-single Orlando Bloom.

Primed for the big day: Kim and Khloe Kardashian were spotted hanging out with Orlando Bloom as guests arrived for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's three-day Venice wedding extravaganza

But it can’t be all fun and games being a guest. Because there’s that age-old quandary: what do you get for the man who has everything? (Quite literally, for sale at amazon.com). After all, he has come a long way since he was working in a tiny office in Seattle. Back when he married his first wife in 1993, he was probably grateful for the usual toaster and microwave essentials. But now with £210billion in the bank, he can literally have anything he wants in the world. Or indeed out of it – if he takes a ride in his Blue Origin rocket.

    Picture Of The Week

Have you done something different with your hair, Lorraine Kelly?

Paul Rudd and Alicia Silverstone sat at dinner table in 1995's Clueless which returns to cinemas this weekend to mark 30 years since its release
Yes! It’s Clueless! It’s back at cinemas this weekend to mark its 30-year birthday. The film is almost as ageless as its stars Paul Rudd and Alicia Silverstone

Well, like, duh, obviously…… Don’t get me wrong there’s tough competition: Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You, The Breakfast Club, Say Anything, American Pie, Heathers, Road Trip Mean Girls, The Craft, Carrie, Never Been Kissed, The Lost Boys, Go!, Cruel Intentions, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Stand By Me…… But NOTHING beats the one the that made a million fans crave a yellow plaid suit.

Yes, it’s that slice of quotable cinematic perfection – CLUELESS. The movie’s been remastered and is back in Cineworld cinemas this weekend to celebrate a whopping 30 years on June since Alicia Silverstone made Cher Horowitz a 1990s’ icon. Forget Gwyneth Paltrow and Anya Taylor-Joy’s period adaptations of Emma. Do you think the queen of wit Jane Austen would have preferred those versions of her classic novel to Amy Heckerling’s ironic, masterful and, like, totally charming script? Urgh, As If!

Lorraine Kelly pretends her hair extensions are a beard on Thursday's show, after taking them out live on air.
We knew things were hairy after all the ITV cuts, …..but we didn’t know they were this bad Lorraine!
    Image:
    ITV)
The TV star was clearly feeling a little devil may care and playful this week. For when discussing hairstyles with a guest, she revealed she’s been wearing extensions every day for years – and then proceeded to take them out ….live on air. It didn’t end there. Scottish Lorraine bizarrely went on to demonstrate how her extensions could “also double as a beard”.

Her actions, on Thursday’s show, came a month after ITV bosses announced they were slashing her one-hour morning show to just 30 minutes, and airing it for 30 weeks of the year instead of 52.

This week, there was a further blow for Lorraine and Loose Women. It was revealed cost-cutting bosses were preparing to bid goodbye to their plush studios at west London’s iconic Television Centre – and potentially move them to a smaller site in the basement of an old London club.

So, to be fair, after the way Lorraine has been treated after 30-odd years at ITV, I can understand why she’s – quite literally – tearing her hair out.

Amy Dowden has expressed her heartfelt gratitude as she looked back on the remarkable progress she’s made since her cancer diagnosis a few years ago. The beloved Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer defiantly faced breast cancer, going public with her condition after receiving the diagnosis in May 2023.

Amy recounted discovering a lump in April of that year, just a day before jetting off on her honeymoon with fellow dancer and husband Ben Jones. It led to her undergoing a single mastectomy, followed by chemotherapy. By February 2024, Amy joyously shared that she was free from any signs of the disease following medical tests.

She later celebrated her return to the much-loved dance series Strictly for its milestone 20th-anniversary season last year.

She added: “Two years ago I was doing everything I could to be alive with chemo ahead! Now I’m living every day to the fullest! Forever grateful.”

In a follow-up post, Amy couldn’t hide her astonishment upon receiving some “super exciting news”, sharing another snapshot to her Instagram story. Her post saw her share a major announcement could be on the way.

Amy excitedly penned alongside her photo: “l’ve just found out some super exciting news that I can’t share yet but can’t wait to.”

She added: “Honestly can’t believe it. FaceTimed mum and dad and their reactions were just so cute.”

A post to her Instagram yesterday (June 25) saw Amy share further snaps from her time in the sun. She wrote: “Walking on sunshine.”

Fans were delighted by the Instagram posts from the Strictly star, with some wanting her to bring the blissful weather back home.

One fan joked: “Bring that sky back to Wales please.” Another shared: “So gorg!!! Hope you’re having the BEST time.”

A third shared they had been holidaying in the same area just last week and that they had a brilliant time. They wrote: “I was there last week. Fabulous place. Have a great time.”

It comes as Amy celebrated a year since she was given an MBE. A post to Instagram from Amy reads: “A year ago it was announced on the Kings birthday honours list I would be receiving an MBE for my fund raising and raising awareness for inflammatory bowel disease!

“Such an honour and one that still feels surreal! Congratulations to all those announced this weekend on this year honours list. I will forever do all I can to keep raising awareness and fundraising for both inflammatory bowel disease and breast cancer.”

Benidorm return ‘in crisis’ after creator Derren Litten’s divorce from star Jake Canuso

As rumours about a new series of much-loved comedy Benidorm continue, it has been reported that Derren Litten and Jake Canuso’s separation is adding extra complications

The return of iconic show Benidorm has been thrown into crisis after creator Derren Litten ‘miserable’ divorce from the show’s biggest star Jake Canuso, it has been claimed.

The couple called it quits in 2023 and things are between the producer and the actor – Lothario Matteo in the ITV comedy – are said to be tense. With talks about a return of the much-loved programme still possible, the news comes as a hammer blow to fans.

Benidorm aired for ten series from 2007 until 2018. The show focuses on an all-inclusive hotel in Spain where the same family holiday each year. It featured the likes of Johnny Vegas, Tim Healy, Steve Pemberton, Siobhan Finneran and icid-tongued force of nature Madge, played brilliantly by veteran Sheila Reid.

All left before the final series, throwing a return for any of the big names into doubt. That means stars like long-serving Jake were key to getting a revival off the ground, but the situation between the slippery barman and creator Derren makes things difficult, it has been reported.

The pair officially divorced last year after living together in Benidorm. They even opened a bar called “Matteo’s” where Jake would turn up for guest appearances. Derren said on X last year: “I don’t really talk about my personal life here but the reason I’ve been a bit scarce on the socials is for the last 18 months I’ve been going through a pretty miserable divorce. So I’m obviously poor now. And you thought we couldn’t have more in common then we already do?!”

A source told The Sun. “Matteo is Benidorm, he’s the character that everyone wants to see. He’s been part of the Solana since the beginning so for him not to feature in any future reboot, well it just would not be the same without him. Jake created one of the show’s most loved characters in Matteo but with everything that’s happened between him and Derren, it’s not looking good.”

Another insider said: “Conversations have been had. The only way Jake will return is if ITV make him a huge offer, one that he could not possibly turn down. But obviously Derren is making negotiations difficult. He is the writer and creator and believes that he should make all the decisions – the fans would want to see Matteo, which ITV get. It’s all become one big headache.”

A spokesperson for Jake told the publication they were unaware of any planned return for Benidorm. But all-grown-up Oliver Stokes – who played Michael Garvey since the first show – recently appeared on Loose Women, alongside Hannah Hobley, who played mum-to-Coolio Chantelle.

Oliver was looked after by his grandparents while on set in Benidorm playing the cheeky youngster who ran amok around the Solana Hotel pool. “I had to do a minimum of three hours of schooling a day, which was an absolute bonus,” he joked. “But in a way, it wasn’t really the best because I didn’t really pay attention or do much work. Oh well, it was an experience.”

Oliver has now taken a step back from acting and works as a successful tradesman, explaining, “It got to a point where I just thought I wanted an income every month guaranteed, instead of not knowing when your next job is going to come.

“I’d love to get back into the future if the right thing came about but who knows?” Aside from keeping busy with his toddler Archie, he is also an avid fisherman and runs a fish bait company called Active Baits.

Hannah began by saying the show had received so much “love and support” over the rumours, adding: “At the moment, they are just rumours.” The studio audience broke out into a chorus of disappointed sighs, with Charlene then revealing she had a statement from ITV regarding the return of Benidorm in the future.

“ITV say, ‘We’ve spoken to one of our sources over here and there’s nothing commissioned yet, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed’,” she announced, giving everyone some hope.

  • Rochelle Humes’ ‘anger’ following love split: ‘Being cheated on made me stronger’

Rochelle Humes’ ‘anger’ following love split: ‘Being cheated on made me stronger’

    ‘It was awful’

Londoner Rochelle Humes started co-hosting Ninja Warrior UK for ITV back in 2015, alongside Ben Shephard and Chris Kamara.

Three years later, she and her husband Marvin Humes launched The Hit List together, their first standalone TV show as a couple, and it has gone from strength to strength.

But the road has not been without its bumps, such as Rochelle “banning” Marvin from rebooting his acting career.

There is one strict rule they try to live by, when they are at home together. After a decade of marriage, it seems, boundaries can be very helpful. But what’s this about infidelity?

Rochelle Humes ‘made stronger’ by unfaithful partner

Rochelle Humes was cheated on. Not by Marvin Humes, we hasten to add. But by a previous partner.

She spoke about how the romantic experiences of her past had affected her attitude going forward in an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2014.

“When I first got together with Marvin I thought, oh god, you’re going out with someone in a boyband. Is this a good idea? But I never didn’t trust him,” she insisted. “An ex cheated on me and it was awful but I promised I wouldn’t bring that into my next relationship.

“Being cheated on didn’t make me more insecure. It made me stronger because I know that it’s not your fault. If someone disrespects you it’s their problem, not yours; there’s no point worrying.”

They will celebrate their 13-year wedding anniversary this summer

Rochelle married Marvin Humes on July 27, 2012 at Blenheim Palace.

They had already been together for three years, and engaged for two. Marvin proposed on New Year’s Eve 2011 on the Caribbean island of Antigua.

A little under a year after they got married, Rochelle gave birth to their first daughter, Alaia-Mai Humes.

She was a breech baby – the umbilical cord was around her neck – so Rochelle had to have a C-section.

“The first time I had a shower afterwards Marvin had to help me wash and I was crying,” she said the following year. “No one prepares you for that.”

A well-timed supportive message from Myleene Klass gave her the boost she needed.

Rochelle and Marvin welcomed their second daughter, Valentina Raine, in March 2017, and in October 2020, a son followed, named Blake Hampton.

    Alison was criticised

Alison Hammond managed to rile This Morning viewers up on today’s edition of the show during a segment on Jeff Bezos’ wedding.

The 61-year-old multi-billionaire is going to be marrying American journalist Lauren Sanchez, 55, today (Friday, June 27).

Jeff Bezos’ wedding discussed on This Morning by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary

In what is being called the Wedding of the Century, Bezos and Sanchez will be tying the knot in Venice today.

The nuptials are expected to cost between $46 and $55 million (£33.49m – £40.04m) – a sum that is unlikely to dent Bezos’ estimated £226.7 billion fortune.

Several world-famous celebrities will be at the Amazon owner’s wedding, including the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, the Kardashians, Oprah Winfrey, Ivanka Trump, and Usher.

However, it doesn’t seem as though Alison Hammond knows who one of the richest people in the world is!

During a segment on This Morning, in which they discussed his wedding, a picture of Bezos was shown.

“Who is that?” Alison asked, drawing anger from those watching.

“Oh, how embarrassing! Does an item on Bezo,s and does not know what he looks like. Wow, what a professional,” another added.

    Alison accused of manhandling Dermot

Alison came under fire last week, too, for her behaviour towards co-host Dermot O’Leary.

The star was accused of “manhandling” her co-star when she dragged him down onto the sofa with her.

Though the incident seemed innocuous enough, viewers reacted with shock.

“Alison, why are you manhandling Dermot? #thismorning,” one viewer tweeted.

“If a male presenter grabbed a woman like that, they’d be cancelled lol,” another said.

“Look at Hammond, pulling Dermot to sit down. Imagine if it was the other way round,” a third wrote.
