Prince George’s sweet four-word reply to Princess Kate at Trooping the Colour
Prince George stood proudly next to dad Prince William and mum Kate, the Princess of Wales, as they marked the King’s official birthday last Saturday.
Prince George appeared surprised to see so many people attend Trooping the Colour
Prince George shared an adorable four-word remark with Kate, the Princess of Wales as they rode past a large crowd to attend Trooping the Colour, a lip reader has said.
The eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales joined the family to celebrate the King’s official birthday on June 15.
But despite it not being the first time he attended the ceremony or rode through the crowd in a carriage, he still appeared bewildered as he took in how many people had braved the rainy weather to witness the celebrations.
According to lip reader Juliet Sullivan, George told his mother: “They all look so happy,” before he started waving at members of the public waiting to see the Royal Family pass them by.
Speaking to the Mail, Ms Sullivan noted that the King appeared to share in his grandson’s surprise as he shared his enthusiasm with Queen Camilla.
Prince George has been attending Trooping the Colour since he was barely one
The King said: “Look at this! Wonderful. So colourful.”
Prince George later reunited with his grandfather on Buckingham Palace’s balcony to observe the Red Arrows’s flypast.
Standing next to Prince William and his younger brother Prince Louis, George joined his younger sister Princess Charlotte’s documented effort to contain the little boy.
Footage from the celebrations captured the moment the future king told his brother to “turn around” after Louis momentarily turned his back to the public.

George could be seen subtly gesturing at his brother before the six-year-old immediately obeyed.
The moment echoed a sweet exchange between Prince William and his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II at the same event in 2016.
The Prince of Wales had crouched down to point something out at a then-two-year-old Prince George.
But the late Queen quickly called him out and gestured at him to stand up straight – an order William obeyed straight away.
