Loose Women star Christine Lampard has opened up about her husband Frank’s intelligence, revealing some surprise facts about the ex-footballer

Christine Lampard made a surprise admission about her husband Frank during Wednesday’s (5 March) episode of Loose Women. The TV presenter was back on the panel for another instalment of the daytime show, with her footballer husband being brought up in conversation.

The panel discussed Frank’s intelligence, questioning if Christine is as clever as her husband. The topic arose after it was revealed Frank once took an IQ test and scored very high.

“When he was playing at Chelsea, they made all of the players do an IQ test. It was actually just a foundation kind of IQ measurement in case there was a head injury playing the sport, so they could do another test later on,” Christine explained to her co-stars.

She admitted: “He completed smashed it. He did brilliantly in it. Some big high score. Mensa almost picking up the phone!”

Christine’s co-star Denise Welch then brought up Frank’s GCSE results, revealing she’d previously been informed that he achieved an A* in Latin and completed the qualification a year before his peers.

“Yes he’s got an A* in Latin,” Christine said, jokingly rolling her eyes. “I am joking. He is good at working things out. I understand why he does well on these kind of tests.”

Frank, who is now the head coach at Coventry City FC, has an IQ of 150, putting him in the top one to two percent of the country. He has previously opened up about taking the test during his time at Chelsea, revealing the opportunity arose after his team mate John Terry suffered concussion in 2007.

He told the Coventry Telegraph: “I just breezed it. I was at Chelsea and it was in the aftermath of JT getting kicked in the head in the Carabao Cup final. Our doctor, who was Brian English at the time, made us do IQ tests to get us a base level of IQ so we could be registered again if you have a concussion or a head injury.”

Asked about his high score, he said: “Other people were more interested in it than me, to be fair. I’m quite proud of it. It just beat my wife, Christine, which was the best thing about it. She was just below me. I don’t know the exact numbers. I think she’s around the same.”
