Victoria Beckham’s daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz has broken her silence about her absence from the former Spice Girl’s star-studded birthday bash.
The 29-year-old shared a photo of David and Victoria Beckham with their children before the 50th birthday party and wrote some words to her fashion designer mother-in-law as to why she could not be with Brooklyn Beckham at the bash, revealing that she was spending time with her grandmother instead.
The actress, who is married to Victoria and David’s eldest son, took to her Instagram Stories to share why she missed the glitzy celebration with the Beckhams. Nicola wrote: “Happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham I’m so sad I’m not there to celebrate you and hug you! Sending all my love from me and my naunni [white love heart emoji] I miss you all so much!”

Nicola calls her beloved grandmother Gina “naunni”, who was her Maid of Honour when Nicola tied the knot with Brooklyn in 2022. Despite having to miss out on Victoria’s star-studded party, Nicola did pay tribute to her 50th birthday with a special message on Victoria’s big day.
Nicola shared a photo of them together on Instagram and captioned it: “Happy birthday to my beautiful mil @victoriabeckham I love you so much and love being your dance partner forever.” Among the Hollywood stars that attended the party were Tom Cruise and Jason Statham, along with her Spice Girls bandmates, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, actress Eva Longoria and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

On her 50th birthday, David also shared a gushing message to his wife on social media, writing: “Happy Birthday to my beautiful wife. As you head into this birthday you should look back and be proud of what you have accomplished, achieved & what you have built, Posh Spice, business woman & of course marrying an England captain.”
One of the highlights of the party were all of the Spice Girls performing together for the first time in years, after Victoria rejected the chance to be part of the reunion tour a couple of years ago. Lined up side by side, Geri Horner, Emma Bunton, Mel C, Victoria and Mel B let their hair down and performed 1997 hit Stop with a delighted David capturing the moment on video while the women performed the iconic moves of the song.
Sharing the video with eight heart emojis, he wrote: “I mean come on x @victoriabeckham @melaniecmusic @officialmelb @emmaleebunton @gerihalliwellhorner.” It was a moment that fans loved and they took to the comments in their droves, with one commenting: “David you are the best social media manager out there, thank you for giving the people CONTENT.” While another gushed: “The moment the entire planet has been waiting for.” A third joked: “I am crying cause David’s the groupie here.”
