Loose Women panelist Stacey Solomon hosted just one series of Channel 4’s Bake Off: The Professionals alongside Bake Off contestant Liam Charles, but is now being replaced
Stacey Solomon has been replaced on Bake Off: The Professionals after just one series of presenting the programme.
Loose Women star Stacey, 33, hosted the show alongside Great British Bake Off favourite Liam Charles, who competed in the eighth series of the programme.
Stacey, who gave birth to daughter Belle earlier this year, will not be fronting the next series.
The Great British Bake Off’s official Twitter account confirmed the spin-off show’s new co-presenter will be Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Taylor.
A tweet announcing the news shared a photo of comedian Ellie, 39, posing with a cake while she is joined by Liam, 25, and judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden.

The post read: “From Ted Lasso to tiramisu – we’re delighted to welcome @EllieJaneTaylor as our new co-host on Bake Off: The Professionals alongside @LiamcBakes
“Pastry chefs beware – judges @BenoitBlin_MCA & @Cherish_Finden are also back for pud!
“The new series arrives on @Channel4 this summer”.
The announcement comes after Ellie appeared on the celebrity edition of Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
The show did not address Stacey’s departure from the show, nor her reasons for not returning as co-host.
But Stacey later tweeted to reveal why she wasn’t co-hosting this series.
She re-tweeted the announcement of her replacement and penned: “So excited to watch this! @EllieJaneTaylor @BritishBakeOff it’s going to be amazing!
“Can’t believe I missed out on chocolate week and opted for giving birth instead” followed by a laughing emoji, smiling emoji and heart eye emoji.
Stacey went on maternity leave after giving birth to daughter Belle in February this year.
In April, the star revealed she was back to work and heading to Paris for a business trip with her daughters Belle and Rose in tow.

“I’ve got my first day back next week, and it’s like the craziest job ever. I’m going to Paris. What the hell!”
The TV star also recently released a new clothing range with In The Style.
At the end of April, Stacey also announced more huge career news as she shared a photo of her children in matching outfits.
“Forever Proud,” Stacey began, with orange emojis. “It honestly gives me goosebumps every time I get the chance to make a collection and then see it in real life on the pickles.
“@Primark AD is my home and making these collections is a dream come true. As always the pickles had a big input into the colours and designs and they LOVED the oranges this year!
“I think this Spring Summer collection might be my favourite one EVER. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the love, kindness & support you have shown my Primark ranges, without you I would never have had the chance to do it all again.”
