Good news from the royal family: Princess Kate escaped cancer….

Kate said she had finished chemotherapy but still had a long way to go to completely beat cancer.

On September 9, the Princess of Wales shared an emotional video taken near her residence in Norfolk last month. The three-minute video features her husband, Prince William, and their children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

“As the summer draws to a close, I can’t describe the relief I felt when I finished my chemotherapy. The past 9 months have been extremely difficult for my family. As you know, lives can change in the blink of an eye and we have to find ways to weather storms and unpredictable paths,” Kate said in the video.

Princess Kate completes chemotherapy

Princess Kate said she has completed chemotherapy for cancer, but added that the journey to a full recovery is still long.

“I cannot express how relieved I am to finally finish my chemotherapy. The past nine months have been incredibly difficult for our family,” Princess Kate’s office shared a message from her on September 9.

Kate said the journey of fighting cancer is complicated, scary and unpredictable. “It makes you face your vulnerabilities in a way you never thought possible before, it gives you a new perspective on things,” said Princess Kate.

According to the British Princess, the recent period of treatment has reminded her and Prince William to reflect and be grateful for the seemingly simple but important things in life, the things we take for granted.

“It’s simply to love and be loved,” Kate said.

Kate said she would begin some public engagements later this year, although “the road to full recovery is still a long one”. Her last public appearances since announcing her diagnosis were at Trooping the Colour in June and Wimbledon in July.

Kate, 42, spent two weeks in hospital in January after abdominal surgery. Two months later, she announced she had cancer. Her office, Kensington Palace, said chemotherapy began in February and did not say what type of cancer she had.
