Donald Trump Ultimatum: Is Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s US Stay Coming to an End? What country will welcome them? What options do they have now? What country will welcome them?

The long-running saga regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s residency in the United States has gained new attention, especially in light of recent political developments. Under the Biden administration, there has been a push from groups like the Heritage Foundation, a Washington think tank, to reveal details about Harry’s visa application.

The basis for this is Harry’s own admission in his memoir Spare that he used drugs such as cannabis, mushrooms, and cocaine. If anyone else had confessed this on a U.S. visa application, they would likely be denied entry or even face deportation. This raises the question of whether Harry’s residency was based on full disclosure, or if, by not admitting to his drug use, he lied on the application — a federal offense. If this becomes a point of contention, there’s the possibility that his visa application could be exposed. Donald Trump, who has been vocal in his disapproval of Harry and Meghan’s treatment of the Queen, has expressed interest in investigating Harry’s visa if he returns to power.

Trump has also mentioned that if he takes office again, he could push for greater transparency and perhaps release Harry’s visa application to the public. With tensions running high, it seems Harry and Meghan are quite nervous about what might come next.

Taking a step back, it’s clear that both Harry and Meghan have a complex relationship with Donald Trump. Meghan, in particular, was outspoken against Trump during the 2016 election, famously stating that if he won, she would move to Canada — a statement that has made her feelings toward the former president quite clear.

Meanwhile, Harry was caught criticizing Trump in an embarrassing phone call with pranksters. Given these past incidents, Trump is unlikely to be sympathetic toward the couple, and with his sharp memory, he is not one to forget slights, especially those directed at him.

As for Meghan, her frustration with Trump’s re-election may have been exacerbated by her inability to publicly engage in the 2020 election. Despite her past involvement with Democratic figures like Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton, Meghan was reportedly advised not to meddle further, likely fearing alienation of potential conservative supporters.

Eric Trump, Donald’s son, has suggested that Harry will likely be safe in the U.S. for now, but the idea of public scrutiny around Harry’s visa still looms large.

The Heritage Foundation has been pushing for greater transparency surrounding Harry’s visa application, citing the need for public access to information about public figures.

With a history of unveiling private documents — including those related to Melania Trump’s family — the Heritage Foundation is pursuing a legal challenge to the Biden administration’s decision to keep Harry’s visa under wraps. While the outcome remains uncertain, it’s possible that Donald Trump, should he return to the presidency, could ensure the public sees what’s on Harry’s visa application.

In the meantime, Meghan and Harry’s struggles with staff turnover have come to light. According to reports, including an investigation from The Hollywood Reporter, Meghan’s behavior has led to a high staff turnover, with several high-ranking executives leaving.

Allegations of bullying and tantrums have been made, and Meghan is said to demand that staff address her as “Mom” — a demand that has not been well received. Harry, too, is reportedly insisting on being called “Sir,” a move that further alienates staff and reflects the couple’s increasingly pompous attitudes. This behavior is at odds with the more relatable and grounded approach taken by figures like Princess Diana, whose staff adored her for her humility and kindness.

While the couple’s time in the U.S. may be fraught with controversy, there are rumors that they may make their recent purchase in Portugal their permanent home if their visa issues escalate. This potential move has some people on both sides of the Atlantic hoping for a resolution.
