Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham compliment each other in a new advertising campaign that gives fans goosebumps

In April 2019, the French star Zinedine Zidane and England’s David Beckham posed together to announce a special edition of Adidas-Predator shoes,

in commemoration of their 25th anniversary and now they’ve met up again as they roll back the years for their millions of fans.

The line of boots became popular worldwide for combining talent, speed and strength, which made them one of the best-selling designs in the 90s and the two former footballers were the image of the relaunch.

Then on Friday, May 3, both icons of European soccer met again, hand in hand with the brand of the three stripes,

but now it was not to announce a commercial launch, but simply to ratify their friendship and exchange praise, in a clip that immediately began to go viral on social networks.

In the video, which is barely 40 seconds long, with alternating frame changes,

Zidane and Beckham talk about what each says about the other as they both carved timeless soccer legacies throughout their memorable careers.

“The talent, the left foot, the love of the game,” Beckham said about Zidane. “The left leg again, the volley, you know which one; the touch, the suits, the creativity, the character, the world champion’s medal.”

Whilst Zidane responded with, “Precision, the right leg of course; the courage, the energy, any of his freekicks, the pace of work, the hair, the class, his story.”

At the end of the clip, which begins and ends with the English midfielder’s speech, the two stars affectionately shake hands and hug each other side by side after giving their testimonies. Two of the greatest to ever do it and two very polite gentleman too.

The historic careers of David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane and their Predator boots

Zidane is considered one of the best players of all time and the greatest figure in French football, protagonist in the conquest of the first World Cup for Les Bleus in 1998 and his Predator model was based on the Ballon d’Or that he won precisely in 1998.

So the design was golden, although there was also another design in navy blue, white and red, the colors of the French flag.

Beckham, on the other hand, presented a redesign of his 2001 Predator Precision model, in white with a red tongue, in reference to the English flag, which is white and red, and not to be confused with the union flag of the United Kingdom.
