Mike Tyson was completely stoned during his fight with Andrew Golota back 24 years ago.
Mike Tyson fought 58 times professionally in his career but on one occasion he was completely stoned.
Back in 2000, The Baddest Man on the Planet took on Andrew Golota at the Palace in Michigan.
Tyson was 34 years old at the time and had already been world heavyweight champion.
He put a clinic, producing a dominant display which saw Tyson secure a second round TKO.
Although Golota had a height and reach advantage, ‘Iron’ Mike pummelled him with quick and brutal combinations.
The Polish fighter could not cope with the onslaught and told his corner he would not be returning for the third round.
He suffered a broken cheekbone, a concussion and a neck injury in his bout with Tyson.
But the fight was later ruled a no-contest after a drugs test showed he had marijuana in his system.
Tyson later fully admitted he smoke weed but that it was the only occasion he had done before stepping into the ring.
“I only did it [get high] one time when I was fighting,” he told The Dan Patrick Show.
“When I fought Golota, that’s the only time I smoked weed and fought. It didn’t affect me. It affected Golota.
“They fined me a couple of hundred dollars for that stuff.”

The 57-year-old has his own cannabis ranch and once claimed he smokes roughly $40,000 worth of weed every month.
That might not be the best practice ahead of his upcoming fight against 9-1 Jake Paul live on Netflix in Arlington, Texas on July 20.
It’s claimed those involved are pushing to make the heavyweight tear-up a professional contest as opposed to an exhibition.
Tyson had an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr back in 2020 and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations will determine whether his encounter with Paul is official.
