The label, which turned over more than £34million in 2014, was served with a “notice of compulsory strike off” by Companies House on December 6.

The warning gives the retail business two months to act or it will be struck from the register and dissolved.

If the fashion icon’s company is dissolved all assets will become property of the Crown, the letter warned.

It’s not just Victoria’s business that’s under threat. Beckham Brand Holdings was also handed a “strike off” notice on December 13.

The business, formed with husband David, turned over £51.5million in 2014.

A friend of the couple’s told Mail Online all accounts had been signed off and sent to Companies House.

She added: “They have been sent to Companies House, but I understand that there is a backlog.”

Yesterday it was revealed that the mum-of-five looks set to receive an OBE in the New Year’s Honours for services to fashion and charity.

Her designs are worn by some of the biggest A-list stars including Cameron Diaz and Miranda Kerr.

Victoria, 42, was named as a UN Goodwill Ambassador in 2014.

Speaking at the UN building in New York, the former singer said she was “honoured” and wanted to help women around the world.
