Edward Enninful has confirmed he is stepping down from his role as Editor In Chief of British Vogue, although he is expected to continue on at Conde Nast as a global advisor.

Following his announcement, the 51-year-old has put together a huge ensemble of 40 inspirational women to celebrate his final cover, and the talent list didn’t disappoint.

Ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, who wowed the world with her transformation from songstress to high fashion entrepreneur, takes pride of place alongside ageless supermodels Kate Moss, 50, and Christy Turlington, 55.

In another shot, Christie can be seen with Love Island host Maya Jama, who donned black lace lingerie and sheer stockings for the occasion, plus Precious Lee and Selma Blair.

Others include tennis champ Serena Williams, songstress Miley Cyrus, supermodel Iman, who was once married to the late David Bowie, actress Jane Fonda and various models, past and present, such as Linda Evangelista, Cara Delevingne and Gigi Hadid.

Oprah Winfrey is also present, having just seen in her 70th birthday.

The issue breaks records for having a huge grand total of 40 women on the cover, for the first time ever, but in his statement, Edward stated he felt the major moment was called for.

“It was clear to all of us on the team that no one woman could or should encapsulate these past few years for the magazine. What we needed was a group, to lean into the power of the collective to bring to life what I hope has been a daring, disruptive and evolutionary period in Vogue’s history,” he explained.
