UFC legends Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal agree to stunning rematch

UFC legends Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal have agreed to a stunning rematch following their clash inside the famed Octagon.

Diaz and Masvidal will run it back but in a boxing ring – over a 10-round fight, according to Ariel Helwani.

The rematch, which will take place at light-heavyweight (175lbs), is set for June 1 in Inglewood, California.

The event will be presented by Fanmio in association with Diaz’s Real Fight Inc. and Masvidal’s Gamebred Boxing Promotions.

BREAKING: Nathan Diaz x Jorge Masvidal 2 is a done deal. They’ll meet on June 1 at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA, in a 10-round 175-pound light heavyweight boxing match, per both camps. The event will be presented by Fanmio PPV, who also promoted Mayweather x Paul in 2021.…

Diaz and Masvidal fought at UFC 244 in New York City for the BMF championship.

Masvidal won the main-event showdown by stoppage after Diaz retired on his stool after round three.

Diaz and Masvidal will renew their rivalry in the shape of a clash under boxing rules this summer.

It will be Diaz’s second foray in the world of boxing following his fight against Jake Paul last August.

He lost a unanimous decision to ‘The Problem Child’.

On facing the Stockton slugger again, Masvidal said: “Nate’s a dead man walking.

“I can’t wait to prove that last time was no fluke. He got saved by the referee. Now we are boxing, which he says is his forte, but he’s got no shot at beating me.

“I’m not going to give him an inch in that ring to even breathe. If he thought our MMA match was bad, this is going to be much worse.

“I’m going to drown him. I want to put away any talk that him and I are the same, or that the referee saved the day. All of that talk ends June 1. Violence and throwing hands are in both of our bloods but as I proved before, I’m a far superior athlete and I’m a meaner fighter.

“When June 1 comes I’ll put all unanswered questions to rest, live for the world to see.”
