Tyson Fury shares a glimpse of his unappetising chicken, rice and salad lunch, as his nutritionist reveals details of the diet which has helped him to his remarkable body transformation

Tyson Fury has offered fans an insight into his nutrition as the heavyweight boxer continues his preparations for his undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

The Gypsy King has earned praise from his supporters in recent weeks for his physical conditioning ahead of his bout with the Ukrainian on May 18.

Fury shared a photo of his lunch on social media, revealing a basic meal of chicken, rice and salad.

While the meal might look unappetising to fans, it has formed part of a daily diet plan overseen by his nutritionist Greg Marriott.

Marriott told Men’s Health earlier this month that Fury is consuming 3,000 calories on rest days, as well as between 4,500 to 6,000 on training days.

The diet has been aimed at providing the Gypsy King with enough fuel for his training sessions while aiming to manage his weight.

Marriott revealed that Fury is eating up to six meals a day under his diet plan, whereas he had previously had one or two meals a day.

Meals reportedly include Fury having two slices of sourdough toast, avocado butter spread with fresh garlic tabasco and black pepper for breakfast, as well as fresh plum tomatoes and lean beef mince sausages.

Oatmeal and protein with fresh nuts and chia seeds, and omelettes have also been included as breakfasts.

A dinner under the diet plan included a 400 gram filet steak with Dijon mustard, as well as roasted vegetables including broccoli, asparagus and beetroot.

Marriott has shared several meals eaten by Fury on social media, with fans having also praised the look of the food produced by the nutritionist.

He claimed that while Fury is in ‘amazing’ shape now, the unbeaten heavyweight will shed further weight ahead of his fight with Usyk.

‘I can promise you, you’re gonna see a different Tyson Fury,’ Marriott told Men’s Health.

‘Whatever I tell Tyson to do, he just adheres to it. He puts 100 per cent trust in me.

‘So for Tyson really, there is no challenges because he knows he’ll be in peak condition. He’s been there, done it and got the t-shirts.

‘I think for this fight, he just thought “I just want to get back to looking great”, and with that comes feeling great too, and being able to do the rounds.

‘He’s happier knowing that he’s already in amazing shape now. He doesn’t have to think about getting weight off anymore. We’ve already done that. I’ve already got him the weight off.

‘You’re gonna see another 50% on top of where he is now.’

Fury had received criticism for his conditioning after he scraped through his fight with Francis Ngannou last year, winning via split decision after being knocked down.

In an exclusive chat with Mail Sport last year, Fury said: ‘I would love to have a good body. But, I don’t have any hope of having a good body.

‘I am fat now, I was fat as a baby and I will be fat on my death bed. We’re all fat. Hughie is fat, Shane’s fat, my dad’s fat and even my mum’s fat. I hope she’s not watching this. But we’re a fat family.’

The heavyweight world will seek to elect a unified champion for the first time in 24 years on May 18, with a reported £100million purse up for grabs.

Usyk will bring the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO titles while Fury holds the WBC heavyweight crown – and there will be a new ‘undisupted’ belt up for grabs.

They will meet in the ring as part of Riyadh Season in Saudi Arabia to crown the first undisputed heavyweight champion of the four-belt era.

Fury has been chomping at the bit since the fight was postponed from its original date of February 17 after he suffered a nasty cut above his eye in training.

He has 34 wins – 24 via knockouts – and one draw on his ledger.

Meanwhile, Usyk has a perfect record of 21 wins and no defeats with 14 knockouts.
