Tyson Fury ‘green lights’ second Netflix series despite claiming he ‘wanted out’

Boxing star Tyson Fury has reportedly given the green light for a second series of his Netflix show.

Earlier in the month, Fury, along with his family starred in the popular show ‘At Home With The Furys’.

The documentary series gave fans a rare insight into the Furys’ life away from the limelight and the boxing ring.

At Home With The Furys was a big hit as the first episode racked up 2.6 million viewers.

As a result of the huge success, it has been reported that the show could return with a second series.

According to The Sun, Netflix wanted to bring the cameras back into Fury’s life.

A source told the publication: “Tyson’s show was a runaway hit for Netflix and they’ve been keen to get him to agree a second.

“Tyson had some reservations but has finally said he’d be up for inviting the cameras back into his life. Paris is expecting their seventh child this month so it’ll be a while.”

Aside from Fury and his wife Paris, the heavyweight champion’s dad John, younger brother Tommy and his fiancee Molly Mae Hague were also involved in the first series.

However, this decision to renew the series could come as a surprise as Fury previously claimed he wanted to cancel the show.

Speaking to Capital XTRA Breakfast earlier in the month, Fury said: “I wanted out. I was like, couple of weeks in, I said: ‘Is there any way [out]?’

“I’d be on the phone with my lawyers. ‘Is there any way I can get out of this? I don’t know what I’ve signed up for again. I never said I’d do it again. I’ve done it again, I’ve made a mistake’.”

Fury is set to return to the ring in October when he takes on former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
