The top 10 most popular boxers in the world named and ranked with Anthony Joshua only fifth

The 10 most popular boxers in the world have been named and ranked.

Over the years, the boxing world has produced some of the world’s biggest sports stars.

In recent weeks, the likes of Anthony Joshua and Mike Tyson have been making headlines.

Joshua got his career back on track after dispatching former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia last weekend.

Meanwhile, we have a blockbuster fight to look forward to as it was confirmed last week that Tyson will fight YouTuber turned-boxer Jake Paul in July.

Netflix, who will be streaming the fight live, wrote on social media: “It’s JAKE PAUL vs. MIKE TYSON — yes, really! — in a LIVE BOXING event at AT&T Stadium you won’t want to miss. Airing live on Netflix Saturday, July 20 #PaulTyson.”

Now, BoxRec have named and ranked the 10 most popular boxers in the world right now based on their followers.

Mexican Saul Canelo Alvarez was ranked as the most popular boxer with a total number of 5070 followers on BoxRec.

Alvarez is the only boxer in history to become the undisputed champion at super middleweight.

Tyson Fury was named in second place, having amassed 3635 followers. The Brit was closely followed by Terence Crawford with 3578.

Gennadiy Golovkin was fourth and Joshua rounded off the top five.

The likes of Gervonta Davis, Vasyl Lomachenko, Naoya Inoue, Oleksandr Usyk and Deontay Wilder were also named on the list.
