The heavyweight bout between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is certain to take place at Wembley Stadium, according to a Saudi powerbroker.

In order to ultimately face off, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury might agree to a two-fight deal. Eddie Hearn has revealed that Wembley Stadium might host one of the fights.

Joshua has now engaged in three fights in Saudi Arabia over the previous five, the most recent being an early-month victory over Francis Ngannou in just two rounds.

Furthermore, Fury and Ngannou recently fought in Saudi Arabia. He is expected to return in May for his much awaited fight with Oleksandr Usyk.

A victory for Fury may lead to a matchup with Joshua, but supporters are worried that the fight might not take place in the United Kingdom because Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh can pay fighters a lot of money to compete in the Middle East.

Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, has expressed optimism that his client and Fury may meet in the UK and even stated that Alalshikh is looking into the possibility.

According to Eddie Hearn, Anthony Joshua may face Tyson Fury twice.

Fury has to get past Oleksandr Usyk first, but may then focus his attention on Joshua

Hearn claims that one of the fights may occur at Wembley Stadium.

Hearn stated on The Sports Agents podcast, “This is a gentleman named Turki Alalshikh, who is obviously a very influential figure in sports and entertainment in Saudi Arabia.”

He’s the greatest fight enthusiast I’ve ever encountered, too. Amazingly, he’s now discussing holding two fights between Fury and AJ: one in Saudi Arabia and one at Wembley Stadium.

Both Fury and Joshua have fought at Wembley previously, having had some of their greatest boxing performances at the storied arena.

In front of 90,000 spectators at Wembley in 2017, AJ overcame Wladimir Klitschko by coming off the canvas to halt the Ukrainian in the eleventh round in a back-and-forth battle.

The next year, he made a comeback and defeated Alexander Povetkin of Russia in the seventh round.

In 2022, Fury defeated fellow Brit Dillian Whyte at the national team stadium and repeated the victory.

Hearn asserted that Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh (above) is in favor of starting one of the fights in the UK.

Hearn acknowledges that major bouts will inevitably continue to be staged in Saudi Arabia in the upcoming months and years, but he would love to bring a Joshua-Fury bout to Wembley and says Alalshikh is on board.

Hearn said, “He’s one of those guys that listens and reads everything,” in reference to Alalshikh.

“He has so undoubtedly seen statements such as “It’s a shame the fight is in Saudi Arabia” and “I wish this fight was at Wembley”.

“I mean, we really need to have a more global perspective in sports. Boxing is more than just two British guys fighting for the undisputed world title. I really believe he would bring one of them to the UK.” And that they are able to accomplish that financially.
