Shannon Briggs says Mike Tyson ‘Still Wants To Fight’ And Would Destroy Deontay Wilder

Shannon Briggs has made a sensational claim that boxing legend Mike Tyson “still wants to fight” and would sweep aside Deontay Wilder in a fight.

‘Iron’ Mike, 53, was one of the most feared punchers in boxing history and remains the youngest boxer to ever win a heavyweight championship.

When Briggs was asked who would win in a fight out of Tyson or WBC champ Wilder, he told EsNews: “Tyson will win! [Are] you crazy?

“Before you go in the ring with Mike Tyson, you lose everything you win in the training camp out of fear.”

Former undisputed champ Tyson retired from boxing after back-to-back defeats to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride.

But Briggs, 48, suggested that the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ isn’t through with fighting.

When the former WBO champ was asked if he wanted to fight Tyson, he responded: “No, no, that’s my boy. I love him as my big bro.

“But he said he still wants to fight, though. He said he still wants to fight!”

Wilder and Tyson have had a heated rivalry in the past and fans have debated what would have happened if the two power punchers had met in a mega-fight.

The 34-year-old WBC champ previously bragged about the idea that he could have beaten the boxing legend in his prime.

But ‘Iron’ Mike swiftly shot down the idea that the ‘Bronze Bomber’ would have stood any chance of beating him in a dream fight.

Wilder, who holds a better knockout record over Tyson in their first 42 professional fights, called out the boxing legend last year.

Tyson was in attendance for the KO artist’s sensational KO victory over Luis Ortiz last November and praised him at ringside to the others around him.

But a furious Wilder blasted the living legend for not singing his praises in public.

“I had some people sitting by Mike [at my fight]. Mike gave me some praises, which I wish he would have said in public,” the WBC kingpin said.

“Behind closed doors is cute and s**t, but out in public? Just express yourself.

“I don’t know what the deal is with the old generation, new generation. Like, the old is the past, bro. Let it go.”
