Reese Witherspoon is producing Netflix series about all-female F1 Academy… after Kendall Jenner showed her support for the circuit at Miami Grand Prix

Formula 1’s all-female feeder series, F1 Academy, is getting the Drive to Survive treatment.

Reese Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine has begun filming a currently untitled multi-part docuseries, which promises to give fans a peek behind the helmets of the sport’s up-and-coming drivers.

‘What we know is that when we put women at the centre, people show up to watch,’ Witherspoon said last week.

‘We started Hello Sunshine to change the narrative for women, and Susie Wolff and F1 Academy are doing just that by creating new opportunities in the thrilling world of motorsport,’ she went on, referring to the series’ managing director, and wife of Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff.

F1 Academy, which aims to promote women in motorsport, is now in its second season

‘As these dynamic and fearless drivers break barriers behind the wheel, we are excited to partner with Netflix to tell the stories of these powerhouse leaders,’ the Legally Blonde actress added.

Some of Witherspoon’s previous productions include Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, Hulu’s Daisy Jones and the Six and HBO’s Big Little Lies.

The upcoming show, which is set to highlight ‘the drama of the races, as well as the personal stories and high stakes for the drivers,’ will arrive on the streamer in 2025.

The news follows Kendall Jenner’s appearance in the F1 Academy paddock last Friday and Saturday during the Miami Grand Prix.

The supermodel and reality star, who is an ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger, was joined by the designer as she spent time chatting to Susie and some of the young female drivers.

British makeup mogul, Charlotte Tilbury, is also sponsoring an F1 Academy team

Jenner also visited the Mercedes garage, where she was taken for a hot lap of the track by pal Lewis Hamilton.

‘I literally hate you,’ she jokingly told the seven-time world champion, while he sped around the Miami International Autodrome.

Several other high profile sponsors are attached to the feeder series, now in its second season, including makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury.
