Oleksandr Usyk gives ice-cold two-word response when asked what he sees in Tyson Fury's eyes

Oleksandr Usyk gave an ice-cold two-word response when asked what he sees in Tyson Fury’s eyes ahead of their undisputed showdown.

Usyk aims to bag the WBC belt as he puts his WBA (super), IBF and WBO titles against Fury on Saturday.

The Riyadh clash will crown an undisputed heavyweight champion for the first time since 1999 when Lennox Lewis toppled Evander Holyfield.

The Ukrainian, who competed in an undisputed bout at cruiserweight in July 2018, has lodged an official complaint ahead of his meeting with his fellow unbeaten opponent in a few days.

Whether it’s mind games or a genuine concern from his team remains to be seen.

But typically, Usyk isn’t one for mind games as he cuts an ice-cold demeanour inside and outside the ring.

And he delivered a chilling line when he was asked what he sees in Fury’s eyes.

Asked by Steve Bunce what he sees when he’s face-to-face with the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’, he replied: “I don’t see his eyes, I see like this…” before adding: “Like sniper.”

“Like Sniper.” 🎯 For fuck sake I can’t wait for Saturday night.

Usyk has showed off his sniper-like attack since moving up to the heavyweight division, beating Chazz Witherspoon and Derek Chisora before landing a shot against Anthony Joshua.

Of course, he dethroned Joshua to capture the world heavyweight titles before winning their rematch.

The 37-year-old stopped Daniel Dubois in his last outing and has been backed to claim undisputed status against Fury.

Tony Bellew, who succumbed to Usyk during his career, said: “I don’t think Fury can knock Usyk out with one punch, but he is strong enough to hurt him – just because of his sheer weight and size.

“I can see Fury getting caught consistently on the way in and the angles and the footwork of Usyk will bamboozle him at times.

“Usyk’s judgement of distance is just unreal. It’s like he has a laser on the end of his feet and toes, and when you step within that laser, he’s gone; he’s away.”
