Mike Tyson sends heartfelt message to Tyson Fury after Gypsy King says he’d lose to Iron Mike in a first round KO

BOXING legend Mike Tyson has sent a heartfelt message to Tyson Fury after the Gypsy King said he’d have been knocked out by Iron Mike.

In a Twitter Q&A, Fury was asked how he would fare against a prime Tyson – the British star said: “Mike KO1.”

But Tyson, who dominated the sport in the late 80s and early 90s, told Fury to have more confidence.

In a video on social media, Iron Mike said: “Hey Tyson Fury I heard you say I’d knock out out if me and you fought – hey man you’ve got to have more confidence in yourself.

“Anything can happen in a fight – you see Buster Douglas knocked me out, anything can happen, you have to have more confidence in yourself.

“I look forward to seeing you making your comeback, take care buddy.”

Tyson Fury, who was named after Mike Tyson, later responded: “thanks for the support champ.”

“Even the legend @MikeTyson is looking forwards to the comeback of the GYPSYKING thanks for the support champ.”

The Gypsy King, who is set for a return to boxing after more than two years out, later sent a long video.

He thanked his hero for the kind words again – before throwing down the gauntlet Deontay Wilder.

On a video posted to his Instagram story, he said: “Hey Mike Tyson thanks for the support champ. Its not that I need anymore self confidence I’m just showing you the respect you deserve as a legend.

“After Deontay Wilder’s comments recently about knocking you out, in hindsight I’m going to knock him out.”

Fury had earlier showed off his new home, believed to be in Marbella, posting pictures to his Instagram himself.

He said he had “treated” himself, posing like Tony Montana, from the gangster classic Scarface, behind a large desk.
