Mike Tyson Recounts Unleashing Devastating Beatdown While High on Cannabis, Leading to Massive $250,000 Fine!

The two-time world heavyweight champion has recently ventured into the marijuana business, creating his own 1400-acre weed ranch.

Astonishingly, he has previously claimed to smoke around $43,000 worth of marijuana a week on his podcast ‘Hotboxin with Mike Tyson’.

But Tyson has not only developed the habit since hanging up his gloves, admitting he was high during his bout with Andrew Golota back in October 2000.

When asked if he ever fought while under the influence of cannabis, Tyson told the ‘expeditiously’ podcast with rapper TIP: “Once, once in my life. I got fined $250,000 though.

“[Against] Andrew Golota. I displayed the worst beating in the history of my career. Breaking bones, eye sockets, cheek bones, necks.”

Tyson battered Golota from pillar to post in Michigan before the Poland fighter retired ahead of the third round.

Golota was pelted with garbage by angry supporters as he left the stadium, but it was later revealed he had suffered a concussion, a fractured left cheekbone and a herniated disc during the fight.

After refusing to submit a pre-fight urine test, the Michigan Athletic Board of Control issued a three-month suspension to Tyson.

And days after the suspension was announced, it was discovered that he had tested positive for marijuana after the bout.

As well as being fined, Tyson’s victory was overturned and changed to a no-contest.

‘Iron’ Mike has been retired for almost 15 years now, meaning he can now smoke cannabis freely as well as make a living out of it with his gigantic ranch.

“Weed is who I am, I don’t hide with it no more,” he added.

Tyson created a company that sells marijuana strains, edibles and merchandise, Tyson Holistic Holdings, back in 2016.

Now he has created the Tyson Ranch to compliment it, a farm that allows you to smoke weed almost anywhere on site.

He plans to expand the ranch into a weed-themed resort, featuring a hotel, amphitheatre and the world’s longest ‘lazy river’.

But the boxing legend has admitted it wasn’t his idea, saying: “I would say it was my partner Rob Hickman [who came up with the vision], he discussed it with me.

“I believe my brother-in-law had purchased a couple of dispensaries and it wasn’t as sexy as he thought it was gonna be.

“He just jumped in ‘cos it looked sexy without being properly educated, and Rob helped us out and decided why don’t we just become the king of all cannabis so we won’t have this problem no more!

“We’ve won a few cannabis cups and stuff which I’m really proud of.”
