Mike Tyson ‘planning event in Times Square to promote his ‘Mike Bites’ weed gummies (which are shaped like a chewed ear) ahead of boxing return vs. Jake Paul’… nearly 30 years after infamous Evander Holyfield ‘bite fight’

Mike Tyson is now providing fans a way to experience biting Evander Holyfield’s ear – all while getting a nice high out of it.

The 57-year-old boxer is planning a promotional blitz for his ‘Mike Bites’ weed gummies that he’s rolling out via his Tyson 2.0 brand.

These ear-shaped weed gummies have already been spotted in various cannabis retailers across New York state.

And yes, they are in fact in the shape of an ear – one with a chunk of the top ripped off of it.

It’s a callback to Tyson’s infamous bout with Evander Holyfield in 1997 – and it all comes as the 57-year-old is getting set to fight Jake Paul in July.

‘Growing up in Brooklyn, I could have never imagined a time when cannabis would be legally utilized to enhance both mental and physical well-being,’ Tyson said in a statement.

‘Yet, here we are, witnessing the incredible progress.’

‘New York, we still have improvements to make in expanding access to this plant-based wellness; but together, I’m confident we will forge a new standard of excellence, prioritizing safety, quality and taste to ensure unparalleled experiences.’

The gummies are a humorous, yet crude callback to the time the former undisputed champion gnawed off a piece of Holyfield’s ear in that July 28, 1997 bout. That move got him disqualified and lost him his license to box temporarily.

According to the New York Post, not all in the cannabis industry are high on promoting Tyson’s gummies – pointing out his criminal record and a 1992 conviction for raping Miss Black America contestant Desiree Washington.

‘They’re honoring this convicted rapist and wife beater as a role model. We should use much better role models,’ said Stu Zakim, a publicist for the cannabis dispensary The Travel Agency in Union Square.
