Mike Tyson makes his feelings clear on Jake Paul's new physique with brutal two-word comment

Mike Tyson made his feelings clear on Jake Paul’s new physique with a brutal two-word put-down.

Former world champion and boxing legend Tyson is set to take on YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul in a much-anticipated bout on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The fight – classified as a pro bout – has attracted plenty of criticism since it was announced earlier this year, largely because Tyson will turn 58 weeks before stepping into the ring with his 27-year-old opponent.

Both fighters have taken part in press conferences this week to promote the blockbuster clash. On Thursday, after making a bizarre ‘erection comment’ – Tyson delivered a brutal two-word message to Paul.

In recent weeks Tyson has shared videos of him looking sharp in training, prompting Paul to show fans the progress he has made.

The 27-year-old, having campaigned in the cruiserweight division, claimed he’d enter the heavyweight bout at around 240lbs.

Many fans were sceptical, but recent topless photos and videos he has shared suggest he could well make the mark.

However, when asked what he thought of Paul’s new look on Thursday, Tyson wasn’t particularly impressed.

“He’s fat”, Tyson replied bluntly. “He should be lean and mean but he’s fat and funky. I saw him with his shirt off over there; he’s fat.”

“Buster Douglas was fat, am I right,” Paul hit back, referring to Tyson’s shock first career defeat by knockout to Douglas in 1990.

Tyson replied: “I know, but you’re no Buster Douglas.

Paul argued back: “I’m better, and I’m going to end you quicker than he did. And you’d remember that forever.

“You started me off [in boxing] and I appreciate that Mike, I love you, I love you, like a father loves his son but I must discipline you. You’re going down old man.”

When the fight was first announced, few thought Paul stood a chance against the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles.

However, plenty of fans now think Paul could walk all over ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson.

The legendary boxer is making his first ring appearance since his exhibition bout against fellow boxing great Roy Jones Jr in November 2020.
