Mike Tyson changed his mind on Jake Paul fight purse after true amount ‘leaks’ online

Mike Tyson has changed the whopping purse he wants for his fight against Jake Paul.

Tyson will make an extraordinary return to boxing for the first time since November 2020 to face Paul.

He’ll fight the social media sensation on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The contest will be streamed live on Netflix.

The 57-year-old is already in training for his opponent, who is 30 years his junior.

‘Iron Mike’ sent a chilling message to Paul during a recent sparring session.

A fight with ‘The Problem Child’ has been rumoured for several years and it’s reportedly taken a big offer to get Tyson out of retirement.

UFC legend Henry Cejudo recently claimed the former world heavyweight champion will pocket a cool $20 million this summer.

“I mean, you know what I respect, Uncle Mike… But it obviously takes two to tango,” he said.

“I feel like there is probably a really good payday for Mike. He’s probably going to wind up making close to about 20 mil, and he’s about to turn 58 years old.”

In 2022, rumours of a Tyson vs. Paul fight started to swirl. Tyson heard about it for the first time on his Hotboxin’ podcast and shot it down immediately.

He then suggested a figure he’d want to fight Paul, which is far higher than what he’ll actually be getting this year.

Tyson claimed: “Nobody told me that. Hey, I ain’t got no f**king money. So where’s the f**king contract?

“I ain’t know nothing about it. Listen, I’ve been smoking with him forever, I did some shrooms with him as well. But I’ve never heard this.

“I was with him in St Barts not too long ago partying and he never told me this. I’ve never heard this from nobody, I’ve just heard this from you guys.

“We got to get some more man s**t, blue-eyed, blonde hair, that s**t is very expensive, we need to get some more money, man.”

When asked how much he’d actually want, Tyson immediately replied: “A billion bucks.”

Lennox Lewis, a former opponent of Tyson’s, recently shared a simulation of the fight to his Instagram page. It ended exactly how you’re expecting.
