Lily Allen buries the hatchet with Victoria Beckham as she models the designer’s dresses 16 years after branding her ‘fame obsessed’

She recently buried the hatchet with former nemesis Cheryl following a feud that dated back to the early noughties.

And it seems that Lily Allen has now also built bridges with Victoria Beckham – whom she once criticised for promoting designer products – by posing in dresses from her collection.

The popstar-turned-actress, 38, wore a draped sleeve pink satin dress costing £750 as she left the Duke of York Theatre in London’s West End on Tuesday night, following her performance the Pillowman.

Ms Beckham shared a picture of the look on her Instagram Story, exclaiming: ‘Love this look on you @lilyallen!! Kisses.’

Last month, Ms Allen wore a £1,290 plunging red satin gown made by Ms Beckham, prompting the designer to call her, ‘my muse’ on Instagram.

But the former pop stars weren’t always so friendly, with Ms Allen even criticising Ms Beckham for having a negative impact on young people by posing with expensive handbags.

‘We are bombarded with fashion mags and gossip mags with rich pop stars and Victoria Beckhams with their new handbags and kids think that’s the sort of life they should have,’ she said on an episode of This Week back in 2007.

That same year, which was the year before Ms Beckham launched her eponymous fashion label, Ms Allen dubbed her ‘fame obsessed.’

She said: ‘I just laugh when I see pictures of her in a magazine. I think, “You’re not promoting anything and you don’t need the money, so it’s all about you being famous.” I don’t understand the need to just be famous.’

Ms Beckham’s husband David mentioned their feud the year before when he was offered Ms Allen’s track by DJ Chris Moyles on BBC Radio 1 but said: ‘She was horrible to Victoria, I won’t have that then.’

Cheryl also had a highly-publicised feud with Ms Allen, who referenced her on the B-side to her debut single, Smile, with the lyric: ‘I wish I looked just like Cheryl Tweedy.’

She later said: ‘Cheryl, I don’t really want to look like you. I was being ironic. Nobody really wants to look like you, they just think they do.’

Cheryl then labelled her a ‘Chick with a d***.’

Ms Allen has since apologised for her cutting words and it seems the pair are on good terms, with Cheryl even watching her on stage in The Pillowman last month.

The singer, who proved her acting chops in 2.22: A Ghost Story in 2021, has been treading the boards in Martin McDonagh’s gritty play about a woman awaiting execution after being charged with a crime.

She has been seen leaving the theatre every night in a series of high-fashion outfits from designers including Armani, Fendi and Elie Saab.

The singer has been inundated with around £40,000 worth of designer clothes which she parades in as she leaves London’s Duke of York Theatre.

She has documented each look on Instagram, tagging and promoting the brands she’s been showcasing, all styled by Kyle De’Volle.
