Jake Paul breaks silence on Mike Tyson’s medical scare as YouTuber clarifies status of July 20 showdown(VIDEO HERE)

Jake Paul has spoken out on social media following reports of Mike Tyson’s medical emergency during a flight to Los Angeles on Sunday.

Less than two months before his Netflix bout against Paul, Tyson, 57, became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up while making his way from Miami to LA, his representatives confirmed on Monday.

The boxing legend’s state forced flight staff to ask passengers if there was a doctor on board to provide assistance, before paramedics boarded the plane once it touched down in LA to provide treatment.

While he is already said to be ‘doing great’ after recovering, Tyson’s health scare has reignited fears over his safety heading into the July 20 contest with Paul, who is 30 years his junior.

Many are calling for ‘Iron’ Mike to be pulled out of the fight once again following his flight ordeal at the weekend, but Paul insists it is still going ahead as planned.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer hit out at reports on Tyson’s situation and wrote: ‘You love to make s**t up before knowing the facts for clicks / likes. Nothing changed #PaulTyson’.

In Touch first revealed on Monday morning that Tyson ‘had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded’.

Sources claim the cabin crew ‘issued an announcement asking for a doctor 30 minutes before landing and the message even came on everyone’s screens.’

‘He was in first class, but we were an exit row,’ an eyewitness added.

‘They asked us to stay on the plane and landed so paramedics could enter. [The stewardess] said something like, “He’s a really important passenger so we wanna make sure he’s OK.” I knew it was him, but I just mouthed the words “Mike Tyson” and she nodded her head yes.’

Once the plane landed at LAX, there was another delay of around 25 minutes while the paramedics treated Tyson.

However, Tyson’s team are adamant that he has fully recovered from the incident, which fortunately proved nothing more than a scare.

‘Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great,’ his representatives told The New York Post.

‘He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing.

‘He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.’

Typical symptoms of an ulcer flare up include nausea and vomiting, bloating, belching and gas pain, as well as chest pain and fatigue.

Tyson will be 58 on July 20, when the fight against Paul is set for AT&T Stadium – the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

The fight has been marred by criticism in recent weeks, particularly at the vast age gap between the two fighters.

‘I don’t see too many people critical about it. Look at this,’ Tyson said at a press conference earlier this month..

When a reporter suggested there were critics, Tyson said, ‘Who? Name me somebody. You? Who?’

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is sanctioning the fight as a professional bout, but it will be eight two-minute rounds instead of 10 or 12 rounds lasting three minutes each.

The gloves will be heavier (14 ounces instead of 10), which is supposed to reduce the power of punches.

Tyson retired in 2005, but most recently fought in an exhibition in November 2020 against Roy Jones in California, which wouldn’t declare it a pro fight.
