Tyson said, “I had the best three years of my life in prison. I found peace. Money doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have peace, stability, and balance. You need your sobriety to navigate through any part of life.”

“I had good food, and everyone treated me well. They treated me well. I would run around the yard for 8 or 9 miles, and in the evening, I would jump rope for four hours in the cell. Everyone treated me well there; they were afraid of me, but I was always a good person.”

The American legend also had a message for his fans: “I want everyone to know that living is being ready to die. I believe that once you’re ready to die, that’s when you start living. There’s more than just us out there. You have to kill your ego to truly appreciate life. The ego is good, but it’s not life. Use it for soccer, boxing, or whatever, but live a life without it.”
