DAVID Beckham has declared his love for wife Victoria Beckham as they celebrate 17 years of marriage today.

The former footballer, 41, took to his Instagram to post a photo of them on their wedding day on July 4^th 1999 and announced how lucky he was to have met her.

He wrote: “Wow 17 years ago to this day this happened… I was lucky to meet someone who has the same drive and wanted the same things in life.

“We have created 4 beautiful children and I couldn’t wish for a more loving and caring mummy for them… Happy anniversary, I love u.”

Victoria, 42, was equally as gushing as she also got on her Instagram and posted a photo of her hugging her beloved on their special day.

And she wrote: “I feel so loved and truly blessed. My best friend, my love. The kindest man who inspires me every day.

Their first child, son Brooklyn Joseph, was born in March 1999 and they were married four months later at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland.

The wedding was the showbiz story of the year but the couple has agreed an exclusive magazine deal for the ceremony which saw David’s best friend Gary Neville acting as best man and son Brooklyn as ring-bearer.

They went on to have three more children – sons Romeo James, born 2002, Cruz David, born in 2005 and daughter Harper Seven, who was born in 2011.

In the last 17 years, the couple have become one of the most sought-after and talked-about couples in showbiz and have stuck together, even throughout claims made by their formal personal assistant Rebecca Loos that she had had an affair with David, which he described as “ludicrous”.
