As they partied together last weekend, insiders say the former bandmates have been in close contact, with Posh advising Geri on how to bounce back after a scandal

She appeared to put her husband’s controversy aside last week as she partied the night away with her fellow Spice Girls at Victoria Beckham’s star-studded 50th birthday bash.

Donning a £760 wedding frock, Geri Horner, 51, put on a confident display in the absence of her Formula One boss beau,

Christian Horner, 50, who has been embroiled in a sexting scandal with a former colleague since February, something he has strenuously denied.

And insiders say the star has been leaning on her former bandmate for advice in her bid to bounce back from the recent controversy.

The source says, “Victoria has been a tower of strength and support to Geri over the last couple of months, which have been some of the worst of her life.

“If anyone knows what it’s like to have their marriage thrust into the spotlight at the hands of a scandal, and to publicly and privately navigate through such a turbulent time, it’s Victoria. She’s been a rock to Geri, helping to guide and advise her through it all, having been there herself.”

Last month it was reported that the mum-of-two – who shares seven-year-old son, Monty, with the racing boss – was considering skipping the designer’s bash in an effort to keep a low profile amid her husband’s ongoing drama.

And pals say it’s thanks to Posh – who celebrated alongside her husband, David, 49, and four children – that the pop star-turned-children’s author not only showed up, but confidently gave fellow party-goers a glimpse of her famous alter-ego “Ginger Spice” for an impromptu performance with her fellow bandmates.

The source adds, “It was Vic’s idea to perform at her party, and while Geri was initially hesitant about putting herself out there at such a difficult time, Vic managed to persuade her – insisting how it would be great PR as well as diverting attention away from the recent strife.

“Watching fans across the world go into a frenzy after David posted the video highlighted how right Vic was. It made Geri even more confident in heeding her advice and letting Posh guide her through this. She thanked her pal for helping shift the attention and giving her some relief from all the stress and upset she’s endured over the last couple of months.”

In February, the Red Bull chief was cleared of sexual misconduct following allegations made by a female colleague.

Just 24 hours later, the scandal blew up when a series of flirtatious WhatsApp messages and pictures – allegedly sent by Christian – were leaked to a string of journalists and sports bosses.

Despite publicly standing by the sports mogul – piling on the PDA at his F1 races – behind the scenes, Geri was reportedly left “fuming”.

Last week, it was revealed the couple – who shared a glimpse of their home life on Netflix show Drive To Survive earlier this year – are keen to do a fly-on-the-wall documentary in a bid to reveal their unity following the success of the Beckhams’ self-titled series.

Their show broached the numerous scandals the pair have endured throughout their almost 25-year marriage, including David’s alleged affair with Rebecca Loos – which he has always denied – and received rave reviews, helping to solidify Brand Beckham.

And pals say while Geri – who’s also mum to 17-year-old daughter, Bluebell, from a previous relationship – is yet to convince her husband of her latest reality show plan, she’s determined to continue taking Victoria’s advice.

The source adds, “Geri has jokingly referred to Vic as her ‘Crisis PR guru’ – insisting she doesn’t know how she’d have gotten through this distressing time without her.
