Francis Ngannou predicts winner of Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury after fighting BOTH British superstars

FRANCIS NGANNOU has chimed in as an expert on the debate of who will win between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

Ngannou was brutally knocked out by AJ in two rounds following three knockdowns and one final ruthless right hand.

But just five months earlier on his boxing debut he floored Fury only to lose a controversial split-decision.

So the nature of the two performances and results leaves the MMA superstar siding with Joshua, 34, in the Battle of Britain.

Ngannou, 37, told iFL TV: “I don’t know, I would give it to AJ for right now.”

Fury, 35, returns on May 18 in an undisputed title showdown against Oleksandr Usyk, 37, in Saudi Arabia.

The first ever four-belt heavyweight unification was postponed after the Gypsy King suffered a horror cut in sparring two weeks out from the bout.

And the two unbeaten champions are signed to a two-fight deal, meaning AJ faces a year wait to fight Fury.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn pleaded with Fury to do the double over Usyk so they can get the super-fight settled.

Hearn said: “You are looking at the baddest man on the planet. The No 1 heavyweight in the world.

“There’s a brilliant fighter down there in Tyson Fury. Please beat Oleksandr Usyk, because you will get the biggest fight of all time.”

Fury hit back on BBC: “Congratulations to Joshua, but listen we all know styles make fights and Eddie Hearn’s shouting he’s the best heavyweight in the world, we know he’s not.

“He’s already been beaten by Usyk twice and I’ve got to deal with that problem for him.

“So after I’ve done that – twice – and if he’s still available, we’ll get it on. Get it on like Donkey Kong!”
