According to Marca, Messi has asked President of Inter Miami Club, former football player David Beckham,
to buy another former star of Barcelona Club, besides Luis Suarez and Sergi Roberto for the 2024 season.

In the near future, two more former teammates will also arrive: striker Luis Suarez (currently playing for Gremio Club in Brazil) from December and defender Sergi Roberto from June 2024.
Suarez and Messi are close friends who spent 6 seasons playing at Barcelona from 2014 to 2020. Sergi Roberto also has a long relationship with Messi at the Catalan team. This 31-year-old defender announced his departure from Barcelona after the 2023-2024 season when his contract expires.
