On Wednesday, the couple marked the special holiday with loving tributes to one another amid their 27 years together on Instagram.

David, 48, posted a romantic snap of himself and Victoria, 49, sharing a kiss by the sea during sunset. Beside the photo he wrote, “Happy Valentines to an amazing wife, mummy & best friend. I love you.”

“… I mean ‘I just fancied her,’ ” he added in the caption, quoting his own line about Victoria from his Netflix documentary series Beckham, released last year. David also shouted out their “kiddies” Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12, in his post.

David didn’t appear sympathetic though as he wrote in response, “How big is your toe? WOW I NEVER NOTICED THAT BEFORE @victoriabeckham,” on his own Instagram Story, adding an embarrassed face emoji.

Aside from her injury photo, Victoria also shared snaps of herself and David together from over the years, including one of the pair embracing after her show at Paris Fashion Week in September and a throwback to when she was pregnant as she and David posed on the floor of a hotel corridor.

David and Victoria’s tributes to each other come after they appeared in the Uber Eats Super Bowl commercial. In the ad, the pair recreated their viral clip from Beckham, where David interrupted Victoria about what it means to be “very working class” during her on-camera interview.

In January, Victoria said appearing in the four-part docuseries alongside her husband was a “liberating” experience.

“I was very mindful that usually, when I did my filming, I would be controlling. But this was very much about David, and so I took the approach of, ‘I’m just going to be very easy‑going here,’ ” Victoria told the Financial Times.
