BREAKING: KSI and Tommy Fury confirm fight for October 14

KSI and Tommy Fury have confirmed they will square off inside the squared circle on October 14.

The two rivals have been locked in negotiations for a while now ever since Fury ended Jake Paul’s undefeated streak in February this year.

But their boxing bout has now been made official, with KSI announcing their main event fight on Twitter on Sunday evening.

The eight-round encounter between the undefeated pair will happen at the AO Arena in Fury’s hometown of Manchester as part of a huge Misfits Boxing & DAZN card.

It’s being billed as the ‘Prime Card’ and KSI’s former rival and now business partner, Logan Paul, will also be in action.

OCTOBER 14TH, I’m doing what Jake Paul couldn’t and beating Tommy Fury on the biggest night in crossover boxing history, at Manchester’s AO Arena, live on DAZN PPV on the PRIME CARD! #KSIFury | @mf_daznxseries | @drinkprime | @kickstreaming | @Stake

Speaking after the announcement, KSI said: “I came back to boxing to show the world the crazy levels I’m at.

“I’ve shown through obliterating all my past opponents that I am the best in this scene. KO after KO has now led me to the toughest fight in the influencer boxing scene.

“I’m fighting Tommy Fury. The man that defeated the once undefeated Jake Paul is now my opponent and I can’t wait to silence all the doubters that believe I have no chance. After this fight, you’ll understand that I truly am that guy.”

Fury commented: “I’ve already beaten Jake Paul and so all that is left for me to do is send this man to sleep.

“I’ll do that inside four rounds. This is easy money.”

KSI’s last fight was against Joe Fournier back in May and was shrouded in controversy. The Sidemen member knocked out his opponent in the second round to retain the MF cruiserweight championship.

However, replays should that he had inadvertently elbowed Fournier in the finishing sequence. In the end, boxing authorities decided it was indeed an illegal strike and that the fight should be ruled a no contest.

Fury was in attendance and got in the ring afterwards for a post-fight staredown. He had already been busy earlier in the evening though, having got into a brawl with fellow former Love Island contestant Idris Virgo moments after Anthony Taylor’s win over Salt Papi.

Fury is 9-0 professionally, while KSI is 5-0, with three knockouts on his record.
