Fresh doubt has been cast over Mike Tyson’s participation following his medical incident.

Boxing superstar offers to replace Mike Tyson against Jake Paul after 'medical emergency'

A boxing superstar has offered to replace Mike Tyson against Jake Paul if he is unable to compete following his ‘medical emergency’.

Tyson suffered an ulcer flare on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Sunday as he received urgent medical attention.

He became nauseous and dizzy and was treated on the plane.

His representatives said: “Thankfully Mr. Tyson is doing great. He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”

‘Iron’ Mike’s comeback fight could be cancelled if he fails a series of pre-fight tests conducted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

If he is forced to pull out of his clash with Paul, then Most Valuable Promotions have a former world champion ‘on standby’.

Ryan Garcia has also thrown his name into the hat, claiming he’ll replace the 57-year-old if he can’t fight Paul on July 20.

On X, he wrote: “If Mike can’t fight I’ll sub in.”

In another post, he added: “I wanna fight Jake Paul for fun even tho he my burfer.”

Garcia stunned Devin Haney in a thrilling bout last month.

But the result could be overturned after he failed an anti-doping test.

The 25-year-old, who denies any wrongdoing, tested positive for ostarine in both his A and B samples.

He owns a pro record of 25-1, having beaten the likes of Luke Campbell, Javier Fortuna and Oscar Duarte, with Gervonta Davis the only man to beat him.

As for Tyson, his representatives state he is ‘doing great’ ahead of returning to action this summer.

On his medical incident, a source said: “Mike had some kind of medical emergency on the plane and paramedics boarded.

“Before the paramedics arrived the flight issued an announcement asking for a doctor – the message even came on everyone’s screens.”
