Boxing legend makes 'quit' claim about Mike Tyson's comeback fight against Jake Paul

Evander Holyfield has made a stunning ‘quit’ claim about Mike Tyson ahead of his pro bout against Jake Paul.

Tyson returns to action on July 20 as he meets Paul in a fight that has been sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR) in a major U-turn.

Tyson vs. Paul will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with outrageous $2 million VIP ticket packages being made available.

The duo recently embarked on a media tour, where they had a face off as fans think the contest is already done.

Holyfield, who had an epic rivalry with Tyson during his legendary career, sees it differently.

He reckons the outcome depends on Paul and even suggested that the former world heavyweight champion could ‘quit’ in the ring.

Asked for a prediction, Holyfield replied: “I don’t know, it all depends on how Jake fights.

“The point of the matter is whether Jake Paul takes a good shot.

“I have never seen him get hit by anybody.

“But you never know, Mike might just quit in the ring and sit down and say, ‘I’m done’.”

Tyson has not been involved in a pro fight since June 2005 when he suffered a defeat to Ireland’s Kevin McBride.

But he came out of retirement he face fellow boxing great Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition back in November 2020.

The boxing icon, who will be 58 by the time he enters the ring against the 27-year-old, has documented his training camp on social media and appears to be in amazing condition, having showed off his legendary hand speed and power.

Paul, on the other hand, beat Ryan Bourland in his last outing as he improved his pro record to 9-1.

He boasts victories over Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva as he seeks to earn the biggest scalp of his career.
