Baby-faced Spice Girls seen in epic bikini-clad noughties snap as Victoria Beckham celebrates her 50th birthday

The Spice Girls were seen in an epic noughties throwback photo as Victoria Beckham celebrated her 50th birthday on Wednesday.

Posing in the bikini-clad snap, the baby-faced fashion designer was seen with bandmates Melanie Chisholm, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell (now Horner) and Melanie Brown in Hawaii in 1995.

Pictured one year before the release of their debut hit, Wannabe, the group enjoyed a holiday to the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui after signing with Virgin Records.

Standing at the front, Mel B wore a yellow two piece, with Emma wearing a glittery number, Geri in red and Victoria and Mel C opting for black swimwear.

The Spice Girls shot to fame in 1996 and became the best selling girl group of all time with nine number one singles.

Their most famous song, Wannabe, spent a whopping seven weeks at the top of the pop charts following its release.

They split up in 2000, after Geri (Ginger Spice) decided to leave in 1998 because of differences between bandmates and exhaustion.

‘Happy birthday @victoriabeckham! 50 and bossing it!’ Emma, 48, wrote. ‘Your beautiful family are a credit to you and I’m sure you’ll be spoilt rotten. We love you to bits.’

A video set to the Bee Gees classic More Than A Woman showed clips from Victoria’s life, starting with a childhood video of her oldest children Brooklyn and Romeo wishing her happy birthday.

Victoria shared an emotional Instagram post on Tuesday, the eve of her milestone birthday.

Posting a photo of herself in a bra and suit from her fashion line, Victoria shared a lengthy message, thanking her husband David and her four ‘beautiful’ children for their ‘unconditional love and support’ as she reflected on her life.

The Spice Girl declared: ‘As I get ready to step into 50 (in heels, of course!), I feel so incredibly blessed to have reached this milestone.’

She went onto gush about her career highlights, saying she was ‘blessed, but also accomplished and deeply content.’

‘Not just of where I am as a woman, but of how far my fashion and beauty brands have come.’

‘My ambition was always to empower women and make them feel like the best version of themselves. To me, that meant trusting my instinct and never compromising on my creative vision.’

She added that she was proud of her career trajectory, from pop star to fashion designer, writing: ‘I believe that you can be many things. A pop star, a mother, a wife, a designer…’

‘My passion has always been to dream big, then dream even bigger! Believe in yourself first — everyone else will follow. And if you’re really lucky, you’ll find someone who believes in you even more than you do.’

Thanking David, the star gushed that she was ‘forever grateful for your unconditional love and support, and for our beautiful children.’

‘@BrooklynPeltzBeckham, @RomeoBeckham, @CruzBeckham you complete me. I’m so proud, so in awe of the kind, hard-working, talented individuals you are all becoming.’

Ending her post with a promise that she will continue to strive for for more, Victoria declared: ‘So, here’s to doing more of what I love with the people I love. I’m so thankful for my family, my friends, and my incredible team! This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and I’m only just getting started.’

‘Mummy and daddy, I love you. Kisses Victoria xx’

Victoria has previously insisted she is fine with growing older and wants to ‘look good for her age’.

In a 2019 interview the mum of four said: ‘I’m fine with growing older. I’m not trying to look any younger at all. I just wanna look good for my age.

‘I wanna look like the best version of myself. I wanna look after what I have. I don’t really want to change anything. And I’m okay with that. I like how getting older feels.

‘I’m okay with how it looks, because it is what it is. Everybody is going to get older. [But] I don’t love how it [getting older] sounds.’
