57-year-old Mike Tyson hitting the pads shows he’s still terrifying in the ring, nearly took his trainer’s head off

A viral video of Mike Tyson hitting the pads shows he’s still a terrifying proposition – even at the age of 57.

After a legendary professional career, which saw him capture the world heavyweight title, Tyson returned to the ring to face fellow boxing icon Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition bout.

It came after he got himself in phenomenal shape as he shared his transformation on social media, which included him in the ring with Rafael Cordeiro.

Is Tyson plotting another exhibition contest? Well, that’s because he’s uploaded new footage of himself hitting the pads with Cordeiro and it makes for incredible viewing.

The clip shows ‘Iron’ Mike showing off his hand-speed and power as he obliterates the pads in a ferocious session.

Tyson’s sensational pad work sent social media wild as some fight fans reckon he’d beat current heavyweight stars Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

One Twitter user wrote: “Mike Tyson is still a beast.”

A second tweeted: “This is the greatest fighter who has ever lived.”

A third added: “Stops AJ and wilder in the same night.”

A fourth said: “That pad-man needs a pay rise, a medal, a Lambo, and a Nandos black card!”

Another commented: “Does everyone in the HW division.”

Tyson, who called time on his storied career following his defeat to Kevin McBride in 2005, made his return to the sport against Jones Jr in 2020.

He’s since been linked with exhibitions against Lennox Lewis and even Jake Paul but appears to be eyeing a wrestling bout against Logan Paul.

Speaking to Forbes, he said: “Have you ever seen me wrestle before?

“I would do it! I would kick his [Logan Paul’s] ass, yes I would do it. Even though I love him, though.

“This is what I found out about WrestleMania: Everybody says ‘that’s fake, that’s fake’. But the check is real.

“Deep down inside – don’t let [WWE] know – I would do this for free.”
