Sarah, Duchess of York has finally spoken out about the rumours of a second Royal wedding with Prince Andrew. The Duchess of York – who was married to the late Queen’s second son from 1986 until their split in 1992 and subsequent divorce in 1996 – is mum to Princess Beatrice, 35, and Princess Eugenie, 34, with her former spouse.

Despite divorcing, Sarah and the Duke have continued to share their home, Royal Lodge, on the Windsor Estate, where Andrew’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother resided.

Even though their close relationship post-divorce has sparked whispers of a potential romantic reunion, Sarah has firmly stated that remarriage is not on the cards.

In an open conversation with Bella magazine, she disclosed: “I get asked that all the time. We are very happy as we are now, thank you!”.

Life under the intense royal spotlight has been a whirlwind for the 64 year old author and charity advocate, with a host of untrue stories about her. She remembers one particularly outrageous claim that left a lasting impression on her.

Fergie shared: “My life changed forever on 23 July 1986 when I married into the Royal Family. Of course, being in the public eye constantly brings challenges, but also great privileges. I hope I have used whatever platform I have to bring about some good, particularly in terms of my charity work,” reports the Mirror.

When asked about the most absurd rumour she’s heard, she replied: “Goodness, quite a lot of nonsense has been written over the years. One of the worst headlines was ’82 per cent would rather sleep with a goat than Fergie.’ It’s never left me.”

Fergie has vowed to always “be there” for Prince Andrew, honouring a promise made to the late Queen. During her appearance on ITV’s Loose Women, Sarah Ferguson discussed standing by Andrew during his “darkest times”, stating: “We are longer divorced than married and I believe in the three C’s communicate, compromise and compassion.”

She went on to talk about their strong connection: “That’s what I do with (Andrew.) We get on because, in the darkest time of my life, he was always there for me. In the darkest time of his life, I will be there for him. The Queen of England was there for him his mum.”

Sharing a heartfelt conversation she had with Her Majesty, Sarah said: “I said to his mum before she died, ‘I will be there for him, I will help him on his journey,’ we’ve all got journeys; we just need to be there with kindness and no judgement.”

Sarah also stood firm in her support for Andrew, whom she called a “good man”. Even after their split, the two still co-habit at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Not only does Sarah maintain a strong bond with Andrew post their divorce, but she also had a very close friendship with the Queen, who sadly passed away last month aged 96.

Stepping into a responsibility dear to the Queen’s heart, she has been looking after the royal’s beloved corgis Sandy and Muick, gifts from herself, Andrew and their daughters initially.
