Prince Harry faces major regret over abandoning old pals for US life with Meghan Markle
Prince Harry could regret his past choices regarding his friends in the UK, according to a royal commentator.
Prince Harry might regret “losing touch” with his old friends for a new life with Meghan Markle in the US, a royal commentator has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex left the UK in 2020 after he and wife Meghan Markle stepped down as senior working royals and moved to the US.
Harry has been accumulating several new pals in his glitzy new life in LA, however, the absence of his past connections could prove challenging to him, despite his new lifestyle.
The Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden touched down on the subject and said: “When Prince Harry started introducing new girlfriend Meghan Markle to his closest pals back in 2017, not all of them warmed to the American actress.
“Harry’s friends, after all, tend to be country sports enthusiasts with an earthy sense of humour, while Meghan is a politically correct Californian who practises yoga when she’s not sipping green smoothies or nibbling avocado on toast.”

It comes as another royal expert claimed the duke misses being part of the Royal Family, after his recent visit to the UK back in May.
Harry returned to his home country to attend a special 10th-anniversary celebratory service for the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral.
The prince was welcomed by crowds cheering him on as he entered the cathedral, with shouts of “we love you Harry” being heard.
It was that instance that made Harry realise what he is missing out on having given up royal duties – meeting the public, according to royal author Tom Quinn.
He told the Mirror: “The one part of being a working role that Harry really misses is the chance to meet the public – however insecure he feels as a royal, he has always felt totally secure as a celebrity.”
“This has its origins in the fact that when he was a teenager, he had to employ a full-time secretary just to deal with his fan mail.”
He added: “However many new showbiz pals Harry makes in California, there might come a time when he regrets losing touch with his old pals.”
