Princess Anne would “sort out” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to British columnist Sarah Vine.

Sarah Vine spoke out about the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family during a recent interview.

She claimed that Princess Anne could help with the family’s issues if she spoke with Harry and Meghan.

Vine said: “I think she’s [Princess Anne] the answer to all the Royal Family’s problems.”

Host, Jo Elvin, joked about Princess Anne: “We know how no nonsense she is.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have prompted a backlash following the launch of their new website where they used their royal titles and the Sussex’s royal coat of arms.

Critics have accused Meghan and Harry of using their crest to capitalise on their royal titles.

Vine continued: “I think we should send Princess Anne to deal with Harry and Meghan…because if you got a call from Princess Anne you’d sit up jolly straight.

“If I were the King I’d say ‘Anne, please just go and deal with them.”

Harry and Meghan are no strangers to criticism since moving to America and stepping down as working members of the Royal Family.

Last week, the couple hit back at critics in a shock statement warning that they “would not be broken.”

A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that the couple are still pursuing what they believe in despite extensive media coverage over the last few weeks.

The statement came after reports that Meghan and Harry are also using “Sussex” as the official surname for their children, rather than their given name at birth, Mountbatten-Windsor.

The statement read: “We’ve heard time and time again that certain opportunities are make or break for the couple. They’re still here.

“They’re still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite constantly being challenged and criticised.

“This couple will not be broken.”
