Taking to Twitter, royal superfan Prie shared a side by side snap of Charlotte, 9, and her late grandmother Princess Diana.

Captioning the snap she wrote: “Princess Diana lives on in her granddaughter 🤍

“Princess Charlotte’s photograph from Trooping The Colour reminded me of her granny, Princess Diana.

“They both have the same mannerism, smile, and stare.”

She accompanied the post with a photo of Charlotte riding in the glass carriage yesterday and Diana also in a carriage as she attended the opening of parliament in 1982.

The tweet has since gone viral, receiving hundreds of replies from fellow royalists with many agreeing the images have given them ‘chills.’

Responding, one wrote: “Spencer genes are strong with this one.”

“That’s some really strong genes shining through…wow!” another added.

Meanwhile a third wrote: “Oh my …This gives me the chills! Extraordinary!”

Thousands of fans lined the streets yesterday to catch a glimpse of the Royal Family – including Kate who has made a comeback after her cancer diagnosis.

She beamed on Saturday as she made her first public appearance in months with doting husband Prince William and their kids at her side.

Kate looked stunning dressed in white as she laughed and chatted away to her family.

The Waleses engaged, waved and smiled at adoring fans during their journey.

It was the first time the Princess had headed along to a royal event since Christmas and she had a smile ear-to-ear.

In the carriage on the way, George, 10, appeared eager to catch his mum’s attention, telling her: “Look over there ma.”

Lip reader Gaby Lane told The Sun Kate and William’s eldest “looked so happy” as the family waved and smiled at fans during the procession.

In full mum-mode, brave Kate was desperate to show her three youngsters all of fans’ loving banners and flags.

She told George, Charlotte and Louis: “Right, look at that,” before turning her head in unison with her kids.

King Charles also beamed from his carriage with Queen Camilla by his side.

As the showers appeared to dry up over London, he told Camilla: “It’s brightening up.”
