Loose Women presenter Denise Welch, 64, has waded in on the debate of Prince Harry, 38, attending King Charles’ upcoming coronation.

In her podcast, Denise Welch’s Juicy Crack, she discussed Prince Harry’s attendance at the long-awaited event.

Her comments come after the palace confirmed he will be attending alone, without wife Meghan Markle, 41.

It is unclear how long he will stay, due to the coronation falling on the fourth birthday of his son Archie, who will be remaining with his mother and sister Lilibet in the US.

Defending Harry, Denise admitted she’s “fed up with it” and “over the coronation” – before it has even begun.

She also discussed Meghan’s decision not to attend the coronation, saying: “Why would she want to come here?

As for Prince Harry, she added: “I imagine it will be absolute purgatory for him to come to the coronation.”

Royal experts have predicted Harry will be “very nervous” at the coronation, and that the Duke will avoid awkward conversations.

It has also been reported that Harry will play a background role during the event and will only stay in the UK for 24 hours.

Nick Bullen, editor-in-chief of True Royalty TV, explained how Prince Harry will be feeling during the celebrations.

Speaking to the US Weekly’s Royally Us show, he said: “I think he will be nervous about how the family will react to him, and I think it is pretty clear he will try to minimise the amount of time he is in London.

“He wants to be back for Archie’s birthday that evening, so it will be very much a flying visit.”

This suggests there may not be enough time to hash out recent disputes surrounding the Sussex’s criticism of the Royal Family.

Mr Bullen added: “What he has in his favour is that there will be very little chance for any of them to speak because they will all be coming from different places, they will all be travelling in different cars and carriages.”

Harry’s relationship with the royals has been fraught since the release of his memoir, Spare and the couples’ Netflix series which aired in 2022.
