The young prince recently revealed what he would like to do when he grows up, and it’s very different to the careers taken up by other members of the Firm.
Prince George has revealed what job he wants to do when he grows up
Prince George is set to take a very differnet path to other senior male members of the Royal Family when he leaves education, a source has revealed.
The young prince, who is second-in-line to the throne, is not expected to serve in the Army or armed forces like other royals before him.
Instead, the 11-year-old has said he wants to follow a more ordinary career path before becoming King.
A Norfolk landowner told The Daily Mail that the Prince and Princess of Wales’s son visited his restaurant near Sandringham with his mum and some friends.
The prince seemed excited to be at the restaurant and announced that working in a venue such as that one was something he wanted to do when he was older.
Desmond MacCarthy, who owns Wiveton Hall Cafe near Blakeney, said that when George was shown the wood-fired pizza oven, the 11-year-old exclaimed: “That’s what I want to do when I grow up!”
MacCarthy, who appeared in the 2016 BBC Two fly-on-the-wall documentary series Normal For Norfolk, referred to the young prince as a “sweet boy”. It is not known whether his siblings Charlotte and Louis also visited the restaurant.
This revelation comes after Prince William has recently opened up about unusual hobbies George enjoys.
As well as scuba diving, which he tried with his parents last year, George is currently interested in triathlons and takes part in these at school.
The young prince may not serve in the armed forces
At a recent investiture at Windsor Castle, Prince William was presenting athlete Non Stanford with an MBE for her services to the sport when he admitted that George had recently started the sport.
As well as being active, George is also similar to other soon-to-be teenagers and is said to be interested by video games, with William and Kate trying to “regulate” his screen time.
