Nicola Peltz is described as a “nightmare bride” in Beckham’s recent documentary, really?

As expected, on November 12 (US time), the documentary Peltz Beckham vs The Planners will air on Max channel.

The film’s content revolves around the behind-the-scenes noise between young couple Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz and wedding organizers Nicola Braghin and Arianna Grijalba.

Previously, in April 2022, Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding was classified as a world-class event for many reasons:

the total cost was nearly 4 million USD, taking place at the Peltz family’s more than 100 billion USD mansion.

in Palm Beach (Florida, USA), the bride is the daughter of American billionaire Nelson Peltz ,

while the groom comes from a family whose father is a former world football player and his mother is a once-famous pop superstar.

The guests are all top-notch, including Eva Longoria, Gordon Ramsay, Venus and Serena Williams… and the wedding photos appeared in the famous Vogue magazine.

In the eyes of many people, the Beckham family’s wedding is like a dream, the wish of most couples about to get married around the world. However, behind the scenes the organization is a different story. Brooklyn and Nicola had to replace three event organizers, the most stressful of which was with Plan Design – Braghin and Grijalba’s company based in Miami, which even resulted in a lawsuit.

The documentary said Plan Design was the second wedding organizer invited by the Peltz family after wedding expert Preston Bailey withdrew. On Page Six , he explained that there was no personal conflict, the reason was that the work was overloaded so the quality could not be met. Braghin and Grijalba were invited to replace them six weeks before the wedding. However, they were fired after 9 working days. After that, Peltz Beckham hired a third person, Nichelle Ragos. Everything went smoothly until December 2022 when Mr. Nelson Peltz filed a lawsuit against Plan Design to claim the $159,000 deposit.

John Uustal, a famous lawyer in the US, told the documentary crew that Nicola fired Braghin and Grijalba because she felt scared about the ongoing turmoil. Uustal emphasized that $159,000 is nothing to Nelson Peltz, even the cost of hiring a lawyer is more expensive, but there are many things more important than money.

“Reputation is very important to someone like Nelson Peltz. On Wall Street, he feared that if he couldn’t resolve the issue with a few wedding planners, it would affect his reputation. I suspect it will also affect his business transactions,” the lawyer said.

Plan Design responded with another lawsuit, accusing the businessman born in 1942 of breach of contract and obstruction of business agreements. They are also suing Nicola, her mother Claudia and wedding designer Rishi Patel for damages of at least £41,000 (more than $49,000) before expenses, which could run into hundreds of thousands of pounds.

In the nearly 200-page lawsuit, Braghin and Grijalba asserted that when they took over the job from Preston Bailey, they realized everything was too chaotic: the guest list was incomplete; travel arrangements have not been made; flowers and cakes still need to be sorted; Makeup artists, hairdressers, photographers and videographers have also not been confirmed…

According to Plan Design , they had to work 17 hours a day to resolve the mess, and had to endure the hot temper and grumpiness from Mr. Nelson as well as the unreasonable and condescending demands from Nicola. Along with the lawsuit, the company attached hundreds of documents and messages in the work chat group to prove the allegations.

After many months of tension, both sides suddenly reached an amicable settlement last September. In a joint statement, they said the contract dispute was resolved according to the terms of the agreement. Plan Design donated to a charity in the name of Brooklyn and Nicola.

What do industry insiders say?

In the documentary, famous wedding planner Mark Niemierko, although not involved in the process of creating Peltz Beckham’s million-dollar wedding, based on many years of experience in the profession, assessed that Bailey’s departure left behind. giving Braghin and Grijalba a “burning mess.” According to Niemierko, if he had received a phone call inviting him to cooperate, he would not have accepted because many alarm bells were ringing.

After reading Nicola’s “difficult” text messages to the wedding planning duo, Niemierko said that the problem was not just chaos when planning the wedding, but also showed a chaotic family.

Regarding Beckham’s daughter-in-law, the expert commented: “She seems quite impatient and unclear about what she wants. From the incident, it can be seen that this is an individual who easily fluctuates, has an unstable career, and does not know what he needs. I think that’s shameful.”

Chris Lochery, editor of the Hollywood gossip site Popbitch , also did not have a good impression of the Transformers 3 actress through the way she talked in the chat group The real planners.

“It seems like this is the group chat from hell. Awful. There was just carnage everywhere. Nicola appears like a nightmare bride. She’s exactly the kind of person you don’t want to have in your phone,” Lochery said.

Regarding the lawsuit, those interviewed said that this was a wrong move by the Peltz family. According to Niemierko, the wedding planning company’s reputation has not had any impact on its reputation, if any, it is insignificant. On the contrary, the Peltz family, especially Nicola, suffered great image damage. Victoria and David Beckham definitely do not want to get involved in this matter.

Meanwhile, Lochery’s act of filing a lawsuit against Plan Design only makes Nicola and her family look ugly in the eyes of the public.

“I don’t know if Nicola Peltz talked to her father before filing the lawsuit, but I have a feeling there’s no way she would have agreed without asking. It makes them look petty and dependent on power and position. Now, they look evil, trying to sue hard-working women for $159,000 in an attempt to ruin their reputation. It’s a terrible situation,” Lochery commented.

According to Lochery, more articles were written about the dispute than the actual wedding. “If Nelson Peltz understood the celebrity world, he would never do this,” the American editor said.
