Celebrity Gogglebox fans left divided as Channel 4 show welcomes new stars!

The lineup has expanded once again!

Celebrity Gogglebox returned for another episode on Channel 4 on Friday night, and fans issued the same complaint.

The hit show aired its first episode of Series 7 last week (June 7) after wrapping the 25th series of the regular version.

Podcast host Nick Grimshaw and his niece Liz and show regulars, Rylan Clark with his mum, Linda, all came back, while former I’m A Celeb winner Vicky Pattison and TOWIE favourite Pete Wicks, as well as Paddy McGuinness and Vernon Kay, made their debut.

Other celebs included Diversity dancers Perri Kiely and Jordan Banjo, and Jennifer Saunders and her daughter Beattie Edmonson.

However, for last night’s (June 13) episode, the show welcomed more celebrities into the mix.

From daytime TV to the Celebrity Gogglebox couch, This Morning presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard joined the cast. Match of the Day hosts Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates were also new additions.

Meanwhile, comedian Munya Chawawa and Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing and newsreader Krishnan Guru-Murthy and his daughter, Jasmine, also appeared.

British darts player Luke Littler and YouTuber Angry Ginge, too, made their Celebrity Gogglebox debut.

Despite the lineup featuring a whole range of stars from different professions and generations, viewers were still left saying the same thing…

    ‘Still none the wiser’

“Who’s mark and Kelly???” one user questioned on X.

“Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates. They’re sports presenters. Kelly is also the daughter of Kenny Dalglish,” someone replied, to which the same user said: “Still none the wiser.”

“Don’t know who some of these ‘celebs’ are,” another shared.

“Who are the 2 blokes? I have literally not a clue who they are?” a third remarked.

“No idea who half of these “Celebs” are – probably showing my age, but it’s quite funny!” another echoed.

‘Nice to see some new faces’

However, not everyone was unsatisfied with the lineup.

“Jordan and Perri are hilarious, I love them,” one fan expressed.

“I love Linda @Rylan, your mum is lush!” another said.

“Nice to see some new faces on #Celebritygogglebox but this series is missing Jane McDonald & her friend drinking wine!” a third viewer insisted.

Trooping the Colour: King Charles and royals to observe minute’s silence after Air India plane tragedy!

The tragedy happened on June 12

King Charles has requested a minute’s silence and for members of the royal family to wear black armbands at Trooping the Colour today in a “mark of respect” for the victims of the recent Air India plane crash.

On Saturday (June 14), the king and senior members of the royal family will step out in London to mark his official birthday with a military parade and RAF flypast.

But following some tragic news this week, King Charles has made a poignant last-minute change to the parade.

King Charles requests minute’s silence at Trooping the Colour parade

A palace spokesperson has said the king, 76, has requested a minute’s silence at Trooping the Colour on Saturday “as a mark of respect for the lives lost, the families in mourning and all the communities affected by this awful tragedy”.

According to reports, King Charles will also wear a black armband on his military uniform. His son Prince William will do the same.

Coachmen and women from the Royal Mews and mounted officers will also wear black armbands.

The minute’s silence will take place after the king has inspected the troops on Horse Guards Parade.

King Charles’ tribute to victims of Air India plane crash

The tragic plane crash happened on Thursday, June 12. The London Gatwick-bound Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner went down shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, India.

It claimed the lives of all but one of the 242 passengers and crew.

Following the tragedy, King Charles issued a statement as he paid tribute to the victims.

In a joint message posted to the royal family’s official social media platforms, the king described the incident as “appallingly tragic”.

“My wife and I have been desperately shocked by the terrible events in Ahmedabad this morning,” the statement read.

“Our special prayers and deepest possible sympathy are with the families and friends of all those affected by this appallingly tragic incident across so many nations, as they await news of their loved ones.”

The monarch added: “I would like to pay a particular tribute to the heroic efforts of the emergency services and all those providing help and support at this most heartbreaking and traumatic time.”

Why does King Charles have two birthdays?

Trooping the Colour today is the official birthday parade for King Charles. The annual event has marked the official birthday of the British Sovereign for over 260 years.

However, the king’s actual birthday is November 14.

According to reports, his birthday parade takes place in June to make the most of the better British weather.

    The festivities are well underway!

The day is here – Trooping the Colour is upon us and the royals are currently gathering to celebrate King Charles’ official birthday including Princess Kate.

Amongst the festivities, Princess Kate and her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis departed Buckingham Palace for a procession this morning (June 14).

They travelled by carriage along The Mall, where they waved and smiled at the thousands of spectators gathered to watch the procession.

The Trooping the Colour ceremony includes an inspection of troops at the Horse Guards Parade as well as the famous parade along The Mall.

The event culminates with an RAF flypast over Buckingham Palace. It is here that the royals are snapped watching from the balcony of the palace, a tradition since the reign of Queen Victoria.

Currently, the Princess of Wales and her three children are joining the festivities.

Unsurprisingly, Princess Kate looked stunning in her chic ensemble. The princess has opted for a turquoise blue dress, paired stylishly with a matching hat by Juliette Botterill, decorated with blue floral pieces.

Many royal fashion lovers have speculated over the past few days over what Kate will wear today.

It is safe to say she hasn’t disappointed.

Today is a big day for children’s fashion too.

Princess Charlotte, 10, has been known to trigger a phenomena dubbed the “Charlotte Effect” after her previous appearances on Buckingham Palace’s balcony.

Her impact offers a boost to the economy, with many children’s garments inspired by her style selling out quickly after she wears them.

“Her influence, known as the ‘Charlotte Effect,’ helps drive sales,” royal expert Sharon Carpenter previously told Us Weekly. “It’s estimated that Charlotte will be worth between a whopping 3 and 4 billion pounds to the U.K. economy over her lifetime – way more than even her brother George, who will one day be king.”

One social media user pointed out on X: “Oh wow so beautiful!!! I love that our Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte are matching.”

“Just when I thought Catherine is never going to wear a better outfit than 2011, she steps out wearing her best TTC look today,” gushed another.

“Love how Princess Catherine has matched her Trooping the Colour outfit to Princess Charlotte’s dress. Over the years she is becoming more and more her mother’s mini-me,” penned a third.

I love that our Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte are matching.

Someone else gushed: “Mother and daughter in matching outfits!”

At the ceremony last year, Princess Charlotte wore a navy and white number.

She also wore a similar ensemble to her mother, who stunned in a wide brimmed white hat with a navy trim and and a white dress with a navy bow at the collar.

At Trooping the Colour today, Kate and her children travelled in a carriage. Meanwhile, Prince William rode on horseback.

Princess Kate at Trooping the Colour 2025

Trooping the Colour 2025 is the first since Princess Kate shared she is in remission after her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.

Her appearance at the event last year came as a surprise due to her health woes. Shortly before the day, she had disclosed: “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.

“On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.”

Since then, Princess Kate has completed her chemotherapy treatment and made an evolving return to royal duties.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ eldest child joined his younger siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for King Charles’ official birthday parade today (June 14).

Members of the royal family took part in a procession and watched an RAF flypast from the Buckingham Palace balcony to mark the occasion.

And, of course, all eyes were on the youngest members of the monarchy – mainly waiting for Louis, seven, to cause some mischief like he has done previous years!

    How tall is Prince George?

Prince George‘s height hasn’t been confirmed. However, the Princess of Wales is reportedly 5 foot 7 and George, 11, seems to be catching up to her.

After seeing George out for Trooping the Colour today, many fans couldn’t believe how tall he’s getting.

Prince George is going to be taller than William in a few years.

Many have even predicted he’ll soon reach mum Kate’s height and might even surpass dad Prince William, who is reportedly 6 foot 3.

Alongside a video of the Wales family on the palace balcony for the flypast, one royal fan predicted: “Prince George is going to be taller than William in a few years. Lovely family.”

Prince Louis’ ‘question’ to George at king’s birthday parade

Elsewhere, sweet moments were captured between the royal children at the parade today.

According to a lip reading expert, Prince Louis had a question for George as they rode in a carriage in the procession from Buckingham Palace to the Horse Guards Parade.

Speaking to The Sun, Nicola Hickling claimed that Louis asked George: “Should I wave?”

George reportedly replied: “It’s up to you, I can’t believe how sunny it is.”

Louis then said: “Let’s do it together.”

Trooping the Colour takes place each June. The event has celebrated the monarch’s official birthday for more than 260 years.

King Charles’ actual birthday is November 14. But Trooping the Colour takes place in the summer as the British weather is usually better.

The glorious sunshine came out as the royals attended King Charles’ official birthday parade in London. Thousands of spectators gathered the streets around Buckingham Palace to catch a glimpse of the royals.

At the start of the celebrations, the Princess of Wales, 43, rode in a carriage with her three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.

Prince William, 42, rode on horseback as well as his aunt Princess Anne and uncle Prince Edward. King Charles, 76, and Queen Camilla, 77, were in a carriage also.

Why does King Charles’ birthday parade take place in June?

King Charles’ actual birthday is November 14. However, his birthday parade takes place in June – a royal tradition for more than 260 years.

The reason? Well, it’s pretty simple! Trooping the Colour happens in June to take advantage of the better British weather.

Over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians come together for the parade.

For the 2025 ceremony, King Charles made a last-minute change to pay respects to those who lost their lives in the tragic Air India plane crash this week.

A minute’s silence took place at the Horse Guards Parade. Meanwhile, the king and Prince of Wales wore a black armband on their military uniform.

Coachmen and women from the Royal Mews and mounted officers also wore black armbands.

Prince Harry’s ‘biggest hint’ of return to royal fold leaves critics ‘utterly bewildered’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, gave up public royal duties five years ago and much of what they have said and done since has shocked sources close to The Firm

A fresh indication Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could return to the public duties – the “biggest hint yet” – has reportedly left royal sources “utterly bewildered”.

Much of what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have said and done since they quit public duties five years ago is said to have astonished members of the Royal Household. These include their accusations of racism against unnamed members of the family and Meghan’s recent posting of a video which showed her “twerking” in the maternity ward before the birth of Lillibet.

Now sources close to the Sussexes have disclosed details about passport applications for both Prince Archie, six, and four-year-old Princess Lilibet. It is thought the applications include the titles HRH (His /Her Royal Highness) as well as the surname Sussex, and this is reportedly because Harry and Meghan want their kids to decide for themselves whether they want to become working royals, or stay out of public life when they get older.

This has been seen by some insiders as “the biggest hint” the Duke and Duchess may want to return to The Firm. Richard Eden, a royal reporter with the Daily Mail, writes in today’s edition: “The suggestion gives the biggest hint yet that they’re hoping to mend fences.

“And it raises the question: Could the Sussexes, who chose to give up boring old public duties to seek their fortune in the US, stage a return to the royal fold via their children?”

The original revelation was reported in The Guardian last week. The newspaper read: “The Guardian understands that Prince Harry wants to keep the HRH titles for his children so that when they grow older they can decide for themselves whether they want to become working royals, or stay out of public life.”

Insiders have reacted with shock and scepticism, following Harry and Meghan’s exploits and bombshells since moving to the US. Mr Eden writes: “‘I find this very hard to understand,’ one royal source told me this week… ‘Harry and Meghan apparently found official duties and life within the Royal Family unbearable, yet they want this for their children. It doesn’t make sense.’

“It’s true that the Sussexes have devoted much time and energy to publicising their unhappiness with royal life. It’s hard to forget Harry’s grin on a video as he described their ‘freedom flight’ to Los Angeles when they began their American adventure in 2020.”

Meghan last week spoke about possibly running a company with her daughter, Lilibet, in the future. However, a source recently told PEOPLE that Meghan is focused on the future and is “very business about it” while Harry reportedly has “one foot in the past”.

King Charles fumes ‘disgrace’ in heated chat with Queen Camilla at Trooping the Colour

A lip reader has decoded what King Charles said to Queen Camilla during Trooping the Colour today – and he had some very strong words to say as the pair rode in a carriage

A lip reader has revealed King Charles’ heated remarks while on the royal carriage during Trooping the Colour.

The Royal Family have turned out in full force today (June 14) to mark the official birthday of the monarch, with Kate Middleton and her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis departing from the Palace by carriage.

Prince William and Princess Anne were seen following the King’s carriage on horseback as the parade proceeded down the Mall towards Horse Guard’s Parade.

As cameras captured the event, Charles appeared to be engaged in a lively chat with Queen Camilla.

Lip reading expert Jeremy Freeman provided an intriguing interpretation of Charles’ words. The King is said to have begun with: “Absolutely crazy, disgrace, absolutely extraordinary.”

While Jeremy couldn’t decipher the entire conversation, he did catch the King saying “on my way out”, followed by: “Meanwhile, not like me. That’s the difference between me and him.”

The identity of who Charles was referring to remains uncertain, but the comments emerge amid a contentious dispute with his estranged brother Prince Andrew over the fate of Royal Lodge.

Today’s Trooping the Colour ceremony was marked by a solemn tribute. Following the catastrophic Air India crash claiming 241 lives, His Majesty called for an eleventh-hour alteration to the proceedings.

A sombre one-minute silence was impeccably observed on Horse Guards Parade, while the King also directed that the royals wear black armbands in mourning.

The grand spectacle saw over a thousand British Army personnel march in full regalia, a testament to the nation’s military heritage.

At the heart of the ceremony is the “Colour”, the regimental standard paraded before the troops, a practice harking back to its vital role as a battlefield beacon.

King Charles maintained the long-standing custom of reviewing the soldiers, a ceremonial duty steeped in history.

  • Lewis Hamilton’s recent remarks about Fred Vasseur echo the sentiments famously expressed by Michael Schumacher during his time at Ferrari, drawing intriguing parallels between two legendary eras in Formula 1 history.

Lewis Hamilton’s recent remarks about Fred Vasseur echo the sentiments famously expressed by Michael Schumacher during his time at Ferrari, drawing intriguing parallels between two legendary eras in Formula 1 history.

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has received the full backing of his two drivers after a wave of stories about his future at the team. There was talk in Italy that Vasseur could pay the price for a disappointing season.

Heading into round 10 at the Canadian Grand Prix, Ferrari are 197 points behind McLaren. They have scored just three podiums in nine events and have virtually no chance of winning the championship from here.

Recent reports claimed Vasseur has just three races to save his job. His contract expires at the end of the year and there have apparently been no talks over an extension.

Ferrari scoffed at the speculation over Vasseur, refusing to dignify it with a response. That suggests the Frenchman remains on solid ground.

Lewis Hamilton has publicly stated that Vasseur is the reason he’s at Ferrari, and reiterated his belief that the 57-year-old will lead the team to the top. Charles Leclerc expressed a similar sentiment, saying that the 2023 appointee should be allowed to implement his vision.

Lewis Hamilton sticks up for Ferrari team principal as Michael Schumacher once did

Auto Motor und Sport journalist Michael Schmidt notes that Hamilton’s statement is ‘reminiscent’ of what Michael Schumacher said in his first year at Ferrari. Schumacher finished third in the 1996 standings, well adrift of champion Damon Hill.

Ferrari also scored less than half the points of a dominant Williams outfit, winning just three races. This put pressure on team manager Jean Todt, who hadn’t furnished his blockbuster signing with a contending car.

However, Schumacher declared that ‘if Todt goes, I’ll go too’ in a clear message to the Ferrari hierarchy. That ‘put an end’ to the scrutiny on Vasseur’s compatriot.

While Hamilton hasn’t been quite as emphatic – his stock isn’t necessarily as high as Schumacher right now after an underwhelming start – he too has made it clear that he’s strongly opposed to a change.

Speaking to L’Equipe, former Ferrari boss Stefano Domenicali – now the CEO of Formula 1 – relayed the passionate advice he’d given Vasseur. Domenicali delivered the teams’ last title – the 2008 constructors’.

“I told him, and I’m telling you officially: I believe in him!” he said. “He must not fall into the trap of weakening in the face of these attacks, because they always come. Let him work in peace, that’s how Ferrari will return to the top.”

Domenicali resigned from his position at Ferrari in 2014, with Marco Mattiacci arriving as a short-lived replacement. Maurizio Arrivabene and Mattia Binotto have tried and failed to end the team’s drought since.

Martin Brundle says Ferrari would be ‘nuts’ to let Vasseur go right now. He’s adamant that a change of leadership isn’t the solution to the team’s problems.
